Breast Explantation While Pregnant?

Can a breast explantation surgery be safely performed while pregnant? I have subglandular saline. I've heard its an easy procedure, and can even be done under "twilight" anesthesia.

A: Deflation of the Implants is Your Best Option

While performing any surgery on a pregnant patient involves some risks because of the medications used during surgery you do have the option of having the implants deflated.  This procedure can be performed very safely even during pregnancy under local anesthesia.  It serves to reduce the size of the breasts which are naturally much larger during pregnancy and breast feeding.

The deflated implant can then be removed and possibly replaced as needed a few months after pregnancy.

A: reoperate in 15 days?

I wait  6 weeks between anesthesia before re-operating. It has worked well for me and allowed clearing any concerns I may have. The biggest concern is blood clots with cumulative time .  Talk to your BC Plastic Surgeon and make a plan. Good Luck.

Breast Implant Removal Cost?

around what cost is a breast implant silicone removal?

A: Breast Augmentation, Breast Enlargement, Breast Implants

The specific fees that a plastic surgeon charges will vary throughout the country and the world.  Your plastic surgeon may not charge you as much to take out an implant that he/she placed.  Otherwise you would need to make a few consultations and determine the best option for you.
