Would I Qualify for a Tummy Tuck Right Now? (photo)

Hello everyone!! So here is my question, I am 28 years old, mommy of 2 and 2 c sections in 2 years in a row! (yes I have a 2 and a 3 year old) I am done done having babies, and now I am considering a tummy tuck... when my youngest was born I was at my heaviest 225 pounds, after a ton of efford I dropped to 168 (I am 174 currently) and I am confortable in this weight, I have never been smaller than 170 / 165, I am 5'5... here are my pics ANY HELP would be awesome! Thanks!!! <3

A: Very good candidate for a tummy tuck

Thank you for your question and photos. You look like you have lost the majority of your excess abdominal weight and have loose skin from your pregnancies and weight loss. Based your photographs and the fact that you are finished having children, you appear to be a very good candidate for a tummy tuck. Make sure that you see a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.

What Next, 3 Wks Post Tum Tuck with Newly Formed Fluid Collection?

Just to make it easier, i am a healthcare professional, had tum tuck 3 wks ago, with post op 2 drains, one removed at day 9 and one yesterday at day 14, in spite of it was draining 60-80 cc/day. The decision to take out made with my PS. Today there are swelling in the flanks and lower abd, it fits fluid collection, unlikely hematoma, as there are no bruises. now My DDx either seroma or inflamatory fluid, what shall I do, shall I aspirate it out, i can do that at home as my PS in different provin

A: Treatment of a seroma after a tummy tuck

Your fluid collection is clearly a seroma and this was quite predictable with the amount of fluid your drain was putting out just prior to removal.  Your best choice at this time is to have another drain inserted which could be accomplished percutaneously under local anesthesia by a general surgeon or a radiologist with ultrasound guidance. Serial aspiration is an option but I would not recommend that you try it yourself.

Seriously Swollen or Fluid or Dog Ears? (photo)

i had a full tummy tuck 18 days ago.No lipo doctor said i didnt need it im very unhappy about my results.ive posted on here before just kinda seeing what others thinks intill i go back jan for my next appointment. What can fix it ? An if i have to have a extend tummy tuck will i have to repay for the whole thing all over again?.My whole purpose to get this was to get a smaller waist an remove the saggy skin.i Cant even get into my jeans my upper thighs are so swollen as well :(

A: Dog ears vs. excess skin

Thank you for your question and photograph. It is still fairly early after your surgery and it is a little hard to tell from the picture, however, I suspect that you still have some swelling to account for the bulge, but it is certainly possible that there is still some excess skin.  I would wait for another three to four months then, if it is still present, talk with your surgeon if they can be removed. It would be a much smaller procedure than your original surgery, with much less recovery and your surgeon may charge you very little. Overall it looks like you are going to have a nice result and hopefully you will be happy when the rest of the swelling is gone.
