Its been 2 months since my tumescent liposuction e on my abdomen, breasts and flanks and most of the swelling and lumpiness has subsides except for one single area located by the right flank. The area id still swollen and seems to even be bruised somewhat. It is sore, tender and lumps can be felt underneath the skin. Should I be worried about seroma or will more healing time correct the situation?
You should see your surgeon. They should evaluate your lump with an examination. A hematoma is a collection of blood and this can solidify over time and resolve eventually. Hematomas tend to have a higher chance of looking darker than seromas which are clear. Seromas may need to be drained multiple times and treated with compression. Hematomas can be drained if they liquify. There are some treatments for these if your doctor agrees.
I'm trying to loose 50 to 100lbs in the next 3 months, how soon after that can I have tumescent liposuction, or regular lipo also?
Crash diets can rid your body of good nutrients and you may not be as healthy to heal after liposuction. it is very hard to maintain your weight after a crash diet and after liposuction you may easily gain it all back unless you modify your lifestyle and reset your goals seriously. You may need nutritional counseling to help keep the weight off, and a trainer to help you keep up exercise.
I am 24 years old, male, and I had tumescent liposuction in my abdomen a little over four months ago. The Doctor mentioned afterwards that he had a very tough time and had to beat the area up because of how fibrous the fat was. As of right now my stomach looks like it did prior to the surgery. The skin is loose and there is some fat left. Also, one side is considerably more raised than the other. I have an appointment with doctor tomorrow, and I'd appreciate some advice on what to say.
it can take three to six months to see the full effect. Ask your doctor to compare the preoperative photos with your examination. It can take longer for surgery on the fibrous type of fat to induce collagen contraction since the tissue is not loose to begin with.
