If it is bothersome enough, lateral implant displacement can be corrected by reinforcing the outer implant pocket. Often the tissues have thinned, which expands the pocket and allows the implant to move. In that situation addition of a layer of support with a Galaflex internal bra or something similar is helpful. Of course natural breasts move to the side a bit so you have to decide if it is bad enough to have an additional surgery.

Hi. Thank you for your question. Yes, this is something that can be treated. It will require a surgery to close off the extra space within the lateral aspect of the implant pocket. This can be done with a combination of cautery and suturing techniques, called capsulorrhaphy.
