Yes, I need a breast lift and breast revision.. my current in plants were done using the dual plane method.. My implants were done using the dual plane method, I can feel the implant at the bottom of my breast. The procedure was done in 2006. I now need a breast lift and wanted to know is it possible to get a revision placing the implants completely under the muscle after having had the dual plane method?
Answer: Implants Bottoming Out Creating a totally sub-muscular implant after having a dual plane is not achievable. An internal bra can be created to re-suspend the implant using a product called Galaflex. This can be placed at the same time as a breast lift to add additional support for the implant at the base of the breast.

Answer: No Not only would it be a technically difficult and painful operation increasing your risk for bleeding and collections of blood, the other muscles of the chestwall are paper thin and are easily disturbed by separating them from their attachments to your ribs. The breast lift will bring tissue into the area, reducing the ability to palpate your implants. No pocket change is necessary.

Answer: Under muscle implant options explained There are no practical methods for placing breast implants completely under muscle, and if you could it would flatten the implants in an unflattering way. Dual plane involves detaching a portion of the pectoral muscle attachment, which can cause animation deformities. Split muscle keeps coverage over the upper part of the implant but preserves the attachments so the muscle maintains function and strength. If you are looking for better implant support, an internal bra is often the best option.

Answer: Implants You will not get complete muscle coverage of the implants since the muscle used does not lay over the lower and lateral part of your breast. the implants are placed just behind the pectoralis muscle only.

Answer: Revision suregry Dear l3gend12, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
