Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Liposuction of your chin/neck area is certainly a possibility. Yes, you do not have much fat, but that is often what makes someone a good candidate. It takes a very little bit of fat in this area to give the appearance of a "double chin". Liposuction will remove a small volume, but most people find it helps to define the jawline. Typically, this can be done under local anesthesia and with rapid return to normal. Of course, an in-person consult would be needed to be sure that this is the best thing for you.

Hi Betts. First of all, you are so pretty! Without feeling your neck, it does seem like you could be a good candidate for jawline liposuction for the "double chin" and maybe some of the jowling. It also looks like you could consider something to build up your chin (filler or implant) to help further define the jawline. All of these things should be less painful and less of a recovery than a septorhino but everyone's bodies heals differently so I can't promise that for you. Good luck!

You do have the option of just doing Kybella injections. However chin liposuction and Thermitight will give you a better and longer lasting result.

Chin liposuction helps reduce the bulge under the chin and can be done for the whole neck. Once the fat is removed the skin can become loose and saggy in some cases. It can be avoided by combining it with Thermitight which is a radiofrequency heat delivered under the skin to tighten it. Both chin liposuction and Thermitight can be done at the same time. The recovery is fast and it can be done under local anesthesia.

Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for the questions and photos that you submitted! I would recommend a neck lift and FaceTite/NeckTite. The key thing to understand is that you have a bulge under your chin from a deep pocket of subplatysmal fat. Liposuction can only remove subcutaneous fat and would not address the deep fat that creates the double chin, so your results would be modest. With a minimally invasive ('mini') neck lift, a small incision is made in the skin under the chin so that the deep subplatysmal fat can be removed directly.

From the photographs presented, you do not have any jowls. It's also very important to understand there are two compartments of fat in the neck, and they are located both above and below the platysma muscle in your neck. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of the fat deposits above the platysma muscle, which will be ineffective for you. You have a significant fat compartment below the platysma muscle, which is going to require a neck lift procedure with a platysma-plasty to significantly improve your jawline. This can be performed under a brief general anesthesia with one incision underneath the chin. Your skin tone should be just fine at age 34, so no skin removal is required and you're not a candidate for a mini- facelift.
