I underwent jaw contour surgery with Dr. Spiegel in May 2026 and have had an outstanding experience throughout. During our initial consultation, Dr. Spiegel took the time to thoroughly understand my goals and concerns, listening attentively while sharing his extensive expertise. One the surgery day, we reviewed my desired chin outcome using photos I’d printed, and he assured me he would deliver the best possible result. Six weeks post-op, I returned for a follow-up where Dr. Spiegel examined my progress and administered a Botox injection to address muscle tension. Every two months thereafter, he continued monitoring my recovery, providing additional injections to smooth the chin muscles. Eight months after surgery, he generously performed a complimentary procedure to further optimize my results. I cannot thank Dr. Spiegel, Carol, and Nancy enough for their exceptional care during every visit to the Spiegel Center. Their professionalism, genuine warmth, and attention to detail made me feel truly valued. The facility itself is impeccably clean and beautifully designed. I had the best experience imaginable and highly recommend Dr. Spiegel and his team.

For 2025, I did multiple procedures with the Spiegel Center. Hair grafting, Breast augmentation, reverse abdominoplasty, hair grafting and skin maintenance including Elacor, botox, fillers and IPL. The results speak for themselves. I've worked with the Spiegel team since 2010, and they've done 95 percent of my surgery. It's astonishing how far they've taken me. What I appreciate is how, no matter your aesthetic goal, they will listen to you - give you a frank opinion, and shape a treatment plan that gets results. My surgical coordinator, Uzma, is super easy to plan things with and very responsive to questions. Dr. Onir is fantastic at maintaining my skin, and will always take extra time to answer questions. For anyone, but trans women in particular, I would highly recommend the Spiegel center.

I was originally planning on waiting six months after my surgery date to post a review. However, I can confidently say that I was absolutely amazed and astounded by my results only weeks after surgery. My surgery date was August 21, 2025, and I am writing this review in early January 2026. My experience with the Spiegel Center began in the fall of 2024 when I started researching facial feminization surgery, or FFS. If you are reading this, I already know you are likely going through the same daunting process of trying to find a surgeon who can not only feminize traditionally masculine facial features, thanks a lot testosterone, but do so in a way that looks natural, beautiful, and authentically you. You are looking for someone you can fully trust, someone who makes you feel safe, confident, and respected. You also want an office environment that is welcoming, supportive, and compassionate. If you live on the East Coast, Dr. Spiegel and the Spiegel Center should be your top consideration. Honestly, no matter where you live, Dr. Spiegel should be on a very short list. My first contact with the Spiegel Center was in December 2024, when I reached out to schedule a consultation. When I arrived, I met Uzma Husain, who has been my patient coordinator throughout this entire journey. Uzma truly deserves her own glowing review, but I will praise her here as much as possible. From day one, she has been kind, attentive, and deeply supportive. During my consultation, Dr. Spiegel met with me along with his surgical fellow at the time. Dr. Spiegel, the fellow, and Uzma were all incredibly kind, patient, thorough, and informative. They consistently used my correct name and pronouns, even though my name had not yet been legally changed, and they never once made me feel rushed. In fact, they stayed in the room for several extra minutes after I ran out of questions, just to be sure I felt comfortable and informed. I came in with a few ideas of my own but kept an open mind and wanted to hear Dr. Spiegel’s recommendations based on his extensive experience with FFS. He recommended a tracheal shave, brow bone reduction, jawline contouring, cheek implants, and rhinoplasty. He also suggested considering a lip lift. I ultimately declined the lip lift at the time due to concerns about results and the fact that it was not covered by insurance. In hindsight, I regret that decision and will absolutely be scheduling a lip lift when I return to the Spiegel Center for breast augmentation in 2026. One thing I want to note about the Spiegel Center is that it can feel intimidating if you are not accustomed to outpatient cosmetic surgery environments. Like many surgeons who perform FFS, the Spiegel Center also treats non transgender patients seeking cosmetic procedures. Many of these procedures, I would argue, are still forms of gender affirming care. That said, do not mistake the prestige of the location, Newton and Chestnut Hill, or the beauty of the space and staff for anything other than warmth and humility. The Spiegel Center is prestigious, yes, but it is also genuinely welcoming, compassionate, and affirming. After my initial consultation, Uzma worked closely with the Spiegel Center’s insurance team to submit my prior authorization request. Once that was approved, I returned in late spring 2025 for a transgender patient open house. That event sealed the deal for me. Seeing other trans patients, meeting staff, and hearing firsthand experiences made me one thousand percent certain I had chosen the right place. The pre surgical process was not easy, but I worked closely with my primary care provider to complete all required labs and evaluations. As the surgery date approached, my anxiety, like many trans women facing surgery, definitely increased. But on the morning of surgery, that anxiety disappeared the moment Uzma came to visit me in pre op. Seeing a familiar, comforting face who had been with me since the beginning meant everything. She offered reassurance and encouragement, followed by the nursing staff, anesthesiology, and then Dr. Spiegel himself. His calm, pleasant demeanor was incredibly grounding and reassuring. The surgery went well. The first seventy two hours of recovery were tough. I experienced significant dizziness, vertigo, and nausea from the prescribed pain medication. By day three, the pain was manageable enough to switch to Tylenol. Swelling is real and lasts for weeks, but you will immediately notice the reduction in brow bone. As the swelling continues to subside, more and more of your features emerge, and with them, Dr. Spiegel’s true artistry. At about four and a half months post op, I can confidently say that I could not be happier. Well, maybe I could have been if I had done the lip lift, but I will be back. If you are considering FFS and want results that are natural, beautiful, and life changing, I cannot recommend Dr. Spiegel and the Spiegel Center highly enough.

Dr. Spiegel and Uzma are truly exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated with genuine care, professionalism, and warmth—it never feels rushed or transactional. Their approach is incredibly thoughtful and personalized; you can tell they actually listen and tailor treatment specifically to you, not a one-size-fits-all plan. Together, they create an environment that feels welcoming, elevated, and comfortable—like being cared for by family who also happen to be experts at what they do. The attention to detail, consistency, and level of trust they build is unmatched. If you’re looking for high-quality care with a human touch, this is absolutely the place. No regrets!

I first met Dr. Spiegel back in 2014 for tear trough fillers, and I was satisfied with the results as I noticed my undereyes appears very dark and hallow. Shortly after meeting him, I knew he was the surgeon I wanted to perform my rhinoplasty. His office staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and after consulting with Dr. Spiegel three times (yes, three times), I decided to move forward with the procedure. He did a wonderful job addressing all of my concerns. I felt my nose was too large for my face, and he truly delivered the results I hoped for. Rhinoplasties take a long time to fully heal…up to a year, but even after my cast was removed, I could already see the beautiful work he had done. I knew immediately that I had chosen the right surgeon. What made me choose Dr. Spiegel was his confidence, kindness, and communication style. During every interaction, he was thoughtful and honest with his feedback and recommendations. His bedside manner is calming—he listens and allows you feel heard. Knowing that he’s a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon gave me even more confidence that I was in the best hands possible. Another thing I’ve always admired about Dr. Spiegel’s practice is the quality of the fellows and surgeons who work with him. Throughout my experience over the years, I’ve noticed that he brings in exceptionally talented surgeons who share his aesthetic eye, professionalism, and patient-centered approach. It’s clear that he carefully chooses and mentors people who uphold the same high standards of care and artistry that his practice is known for. Over the years, I’ve continued to see Dr. Spiegel for noninvasive treatments such as lasers and fillers. Most recently, in 2024–2025, I consulted with him again (three times, just like before lol) about a mini facelift. I ultimately decided to move forward with the procedure in September 2025. I’m still in the “recovery phase”, but I’m already so pleased with my results. My face looks refreshed, without it being obvious that I had surgery. I still have some swelling, particularly near the incision areas by my temples, but Dr. Spiegel assured me that by January I’ll see the final, refined results. I completely trust Dr. Spiegel and his team. From my very first procedure in 2014 to now, he has consistently provided outstanding care, expertise, and results. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. In fact, my husband is scheduled to have a rhinoplasty with Dr. Spiegel this December. To me, that’s the ultimate testament of trust-when you recommend a surgeon to your own family. That says everything about the confidence and faith we have in him and his team. I know this review could go on forever, but before I wrap up, I want to give a shout-out to Uzma. She has been with Dr. Spiegel since the very first day I walked through the doors back in 2014 and remains an essential part of his practice. She has been my patient coordinator all these years, and she’s wonderful. Always responsive, professional, and genuinely caring. Her calming voice and warm presence make every interaction easy and reassuring.

I had a wonderful experience at The Spiegel Center, at the point that I'm recommending it to my friends who are looking for a great plastic surgeon. Dr. Spiegel is such a smart, fun, clever man: he answered to all my questions, and performed a fantastic lower blepharoplasty. In fact, I've had undereye bags since I was a little girl and with age, they were getting worse, and I just couldn't stand them anymore. The procedure was quick and easy, and the recovery was pretty fast. I'm extremely happy with the results! Moreover, the surgery coordinator Uzma is the best! She is very kind, gives great advice, and reply to emails right away.

In mid June I had a SMAS Facelift, Upper Blepharoplasty, Lip Lift, and Revision Rhinoplasty with Dr Spiegel. I have been to several plastic surgeons, including Dr Nassif and Dr Dubrow. Dr Spiegel is incredibly sincere, I never feel judged by him and I trust his opinion. He is honest with me and will say if something is not needed or could wait. I found him in 2016 and connected to his sense of aesthetic, I think he has an incredible eye for how subtle changes can make a big impact overall, I attribute this to his FFS experience. My goal has always been to still look like myself but my best self and to take the more proactive approach as I did not want to wake up at 50 and get a face lift and have people not recognize me. Now, people notice I look refreshed but they can't figure out what I did. The upper blepharoplasty and lip lift were second procedures for me as I had them about 9 years ago (I have hereditary droopy lids). The natural aging process (I am 45 and a half now) resulted in these bothering me about a year ago. This was a lot of procedures to have done but it was not that bad after I passed the first 24 hours. I could tell how pleased I was with the results the day of surgery. I did not even bruide around my eyes. I could not be happier that I chose Dr Spiegel (again) and Uzma my care coordinator was and is incredible ensuring I had everything in order for my surgery. It is so convenient to be able to have the surgery at Newton Surgery as it is private and easier than dealing with a surgery center at a hospital. I am so grateful to Dr Spiegel and his whole team. Every day when I wake up since my surgery and look in the mirror, the person looking back appears as the age that I feel.

I want to share my amazing experience with Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel because he truly deserves all the praise. I came to him after a previous surgery elsewhere had left me with disappointing results. Dr. Spiegel didn’t just “fix” a botched surgery — he gave me back my confidence and peace of mind. From the first consultation, it was clear he isn’t just in this for the money. He genuinely listened to what I wanted and what I needed, and he made sure my expectations were realistic and that I felt comfortable every step of the way. What really stood out to me is how much he cares about your mental health and overall wellbeing. The surgery and recovery process went smoothly, and any questions I had were answered quickly. I felt completely cared for and safe the entire time.
