I had chin lipo over 5 years ago. I got chin and lip filler to see if it would help my non existing jaw line . Some dimpling and chin is slightly hanging down or just maybe a little fuller than I would like . Help !!
Answer: Do I need chin liposuction or a neck lift To make a determination about being a candidate for a chin implant, you should probably have the current filler reversed to Make a determination about where your mandible really is. It's important to understand that there are two compartments of the neck, and they're located both above and below the platysma muscle itself. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of the fat deposits above the muscle. The residual fat deposits in your neck are most likely located below the platysma muscle, which requires a necklift procedure and a platysma- plasty to significantly improve your jaw line

Answer: Chin and Liposuction To make an assessment on the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure, we always date to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have a complete set up before and after pictures and ask your surgeon, who did your procedure to forward the pictures they took. Doctors are obligated to keep records for quite a while so they may still have them available even if in storage. Delivering consistent quality, liposuction, results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons of truly mastered this procedure are in a small minority. There are a significant number of plastic surgeons that simply aren’t very good at Liposuction. Because of this patient should be very selective when it comes to choosing providers. I suggest patients do this by having multiple in person consultations. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients, who had similar characteristics to your own. Similar age, a similar amount of fat and similar skin characteristics, and ideally similar bone structure of their mandible. An experienced plastic surgeon should have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures to choose from. And experience the plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you with the before and after picture of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. Again, the ability to deliver, consistent quality results is more difficult when it comes to Liposuction than most people realize. To get a quality assessment, I suggest scheduling in person second opinion consultations. For second opinion, consultations come prepared of bringing with you a complete set of before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report. Hopefully you can still get these from your previous provider. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
