This is difficult to answer without pictures, but generally 4-6 units is typical. Keep in mind, it will take 1-2 weeks for final results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. At our practice, we typically use 4-6 units of Botox to help flip up the upper lip. This can also be performed on the bottom lip for augmentation with or without fillers. An equivalent of Dysport or Xeomin can also be used!
Hello. Usually 4-6 units in upper lip are injected. This can also be done on the lower lip too. Take care.
Hi, thank you for your question. It depends on the desired result and if the patient wishes to treat the upper and lower lips. On average, upper lip= 4-6 units, lower lip= 2-4 units.
Thank you for your excellent question. A good staring dose would be 4-6 units and they are the same thing. Hope this helps.
For the right candidate, to evert the lip (lip flip) patients on average 4-6 units. Placement and patient selection is key here so please an experienced cosmetic surgeon to get the best possible results.
Botox lock the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Botox essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting. Results from these treatments are visible within 3-7 days with results that can last anywhere from 3-4 months. It is not so much about the total units, as the placement. Typically 4-6 units is injected to receive optimal results. Next step for you is to schedule a consultation is a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your options and goals. Hope this helps.
I usually do about 2-4 upper lip and 2 lower lip. I have done as much as 8 upper lip at the patients request (4 then returned for more) and it can affect ability to use a straw or pronounce "P or B" words. Be sure to go to an experienced injector any time you get Botox or Xeomin but especially anywhere near the mouth.
I remain unimpressed with Botox injections into the lip. I reserve them as an adjuvant to filler when lip volume is low and only for those with excessive animation. Its fairly easy to overshoot with the Botox units ( use too much) resulting in a deaminated lip, so I suggest the physician remain conservative in their approach. Always seek out a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
On average, I use 4 units of Botox or an equivalent amount of Dysport to provide a so called "lip flip".
