How many units of botox do i need? Is 15units of botox is enough to see the effect? I have done masseteer botox before but do ou think 15u is ok?
Answer: Botox for Slimming of the Face To slim the face, Botox is injected into the masseter muscles. Appropriate patients for treatment have significant volume of muscle, rather than a strong bony prominence at the angle of the jaw (mandible). Injecting the masseter muscle with Botox decreases the prominence of the muscle and tapers the lower face. Dosage depends on the patient's muscle volume, together with regional and cultural variations in the amount of taper than is considered desirable and attractive. In patients with small faces and modest muscle volume, tapering can be achieved with as little as 9-12 units per side. In patients with a large muscle volume the dosage required can be as high as 20-40 units per side. I hope this helps.

Answer: Botox to slim face Hello and thank you for your question. As far as how many units of Botox you should have injected, it is bes to consult in person with a doctor who injects Botox often. They will have to examine the muscles in your jaw to gauge how much Botox will have the desired effect. Hope you get the results you are after.

Answer: On average around 50 units total Here at Star Cosmetic Medicine, we use an average of 50 units total (25 each side) when treating the Masseters. Of course this will vary depending on the patient, the muscles and what the desired end result.

The most common areas of treatment are in the upper face. These include the horizontal lines seen on the upper forehead when one raises the brows, the vertical lines seen between the brows when one frowns (frown lines), and the crow's feet seen around the eyes when one smiles.
