Is ThermiRase my next option after Botox and it substitutes?

It is very odd that you had a reaction after 2.5 years of treatment. Were you using the same physician?Did they use the same product and mix it in the correct manner?What did they use to dilute the product?Before you claim an allergy to Botox make sure you confirm these items.

Xeomin and Dysport are possible Botox alternatives. Or these areas can be improved with a combination approach with Botox and lasers, microneedling/prp and fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Thanks for the question. It is less likely to have an allergic reaction to Botox injections if you had uneventful Botox treatments in the past. Mixing the product correctly with a diluting solution, the solution used for dilution and an accurate proportion of Botox in the solution is essential for desirable treatment outcomes. Rarely, people will have allergic reactions to the constituents of the diluting solution rather the product itself. ThermiRase is mostly used off lable and has not yet been accepted as an alternative to Botox treatment. There are no authoritative and demonstrated literature or guidelines advocating the role of ThermiRase in the treatment of wrinkles. I would advise you to see your doctor for personalized evaluation of your health condition and explore your treatment options.

If you have had multiple Botox injections in the past it is unlikely that what you experienced was an allergic reaction to Botox. The product must be reconstituted before it can be used, so it may have been that you had a allergy to the solution used.  

ThermiRase was cleared by the FDA as a device to "to create lesions in nervous tissue" - meaning just what it says.  Put into a nerve, or the brain, or any part of the nervous system, the system will create a spot of damage.  The device was NOT cleared for treatment of wrinkles.
Why does this matter?  For this we need to understand what the FDA does and does not do.  FDA regulates the marketing and sale of medical products.  In this case, it means the company that makes ThermiRase (Thermi), cannot say the device is cleared for wrinkles (even though their website does...).  But - FDA does not regulate the practice of medicine.  That means your doctor can use ThermiRase as she or he sees fit.  That does not mean the device has been tested for that use... Everyone who uses it now is using it off label.  
As of now (Sept 13, 2018), there is not even one published medical study testing the use of ThermiRase for wrinkles.  What that means for you is that the dose of energy is not known, nor is the map of where to place the device, the duration of response, and how often bad outcomes are seen (like permanent paralysis of muscles that were not intended to be paralyzed).
Lastly, think about the big picture.  You don't know what your face will look like in 5 or 10 years, and you don't know how the perception of beauty will evolve over time.  Botox, for better or worse, is temporary.  This means you can change the way it is used as your brows move with age, so that your eyelids don't droop over the eyes.  And - if you don't like the way it looks (or worse yet - have a bad effect on vision), you only need to "live with it" for 3-4 months.  
Don't risk it until more information has been published in reliable studies. You only have one face!

If you have been treated with Botox for the last 2.5 years, it is unlikely that you would develop an allergy to it. It is more likely that you may have an allergic reaction to what it was diluted with. More so, I would suggest trying Dysport or Xeomen as an alternative to Botox at this time.

It may be that you had a reaction to the preservative in the saline used to reconstitute the Botox. You may want to try Dysport or Xeomin reconstituted with NON-preserved saline.
