You will not lose your dimples if a deep plane face lift is performed. However, with an extensive subcutaneous undermining done with many facelifts the dimples may be altered.
A Facelift should not have any effect on your dimples or your smile. Make sure that you see a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who has performed a lot of facelifts and highlights this procedure in his/her practice. Good luck!
You won't necessarily lose your dimples after a facelift, but if that's your desire you should make that known your surgeon to avoid manipulation around that area.
With normal facelift procedures- the presence of dimples can be protected and persevered.////////////////
You should not lose your dimples with a facelift. Discuss this with your surgeon in advance of the procedure.
Depending on the extent of the facelift you might loose the dimples or have a little change in the appearance of the dimples. The best thing to do is to ask your surgeon to try to preserve the dimples as much as possible. RegardsDr. J
Inward1968. I appreciate your concern, because your dimples are cute, however they should not be altered by any type of facelift. In your case, it appears that mini facelift, at most, would be all you need. Be certain to consult board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. Good luck.
You have beautiful dimples. Sometimes they are hidden in the fold of aging skin. Just yesterday I had a patient whose dimples reemerged after I had performed a facelift. It is always best for the surgeon to review your younger photographs to assess whether there are dimples or other contour differences before surgery. When the dimples emerge on lifting the skin, it can be disconcerting to the surgeon. See a board certified ASAPS plastic surgeon in consultation. Natural facelift with retention of your dimples is the way to go. Good luck..
Thanks for the photo. You have a beautiful smile with great dimples. You have every right to ask the question about facelifting and your dimples. The answer is a resounding no--nothing should change your dimples. Not sure if you need a facelift, a smile lifts everything back up to its normal position. If you are really considering facial rejuvenation surgery, be very selective when you choose a surgeon even in Scarsdale.
Absolutely Not! A SMAS facelift doesn't elevate the skin far enough in front of your ears to affect your dimples. Dimples are due to a fibrous connection from the skin to the underlying muscle. These connections are preserved in a facelift unless you want them released. Most patients want them preserved. Enjoy those dimples!John Standefer MD
In my opinion, any TMJ issue should not develop as a result of a facelift, whether it is asymmetric or not. In a facelift procedure, the skin and tissue just under the skin are manipulated, but this should not affect or cause TMJ problems because the joint is much deeper.
In the majority of the cases yes the dimples get affected but they don’t disappear , When patient have deep dimples and they age normally become creases and by pulling the skin the creases improved but the dimple remains

You are less than 1 month after your procedure so it is very early in your healing. All patients note their initial tightness relaxes as their swelling goes away and the skin doesn't look quite as tight. You should wait approximately 6 months before considering a revision and be sure your ...
