Thanks for your question. This, as you notice, is a controversial question. When a patient asks me this question, I always caution them that it is possible. I try my best to avoid affecting the dimples, however it is common that the dimples are altered. Even if the dimples remain, its possible they will move to a new location on the face. In some situations, this may not be desirable. Its important to discuss this with your surgeon and plan ahead. Thanks for the question
This is great question. Generally a facelift will firm the slack in the skin of the cheek. This may affect the apparent depth and loose skin and extra folds around the dimple. As long as the undermining of the skin isn't directly below the dimple itself, it will remain. It is not common to undermine in this area. Best to you,Dr. Fink
