I would give Dr Quiroz and his team 100 stars if I could! My experience was more than I could have hoped for. I wanted to get ready for my 50th birthday in March. Had my surgery in November. I was scared going to another country at first but the clinic is so nice! I stayed there for four days in the recovery boutique. All of the nurses were so kind and took amazing care of me. The food was homemade and delicious. It was super convenient to stay there because when I would need to go to the appointments for Dr Quiroz to check me the nurses would just come and get me from my room and we would go. This place was nicer than any hospital I’ve been at in the US and I felt like Dr Quiroz was so knowledgeable and really went avibe and beyond my expectations. It’s only been 4 months and my scar is fading and not noticeable at all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr Quiroz! You made my birthday wishes come true!

My experience was more than I thought it would be. I am 3 months post a deep plane facelift. So, here's my "short" story. I researched Dr. Qurioz for a month before I finally set up a video consultation with him. It was brief but he took the time to answer all of my questions. I had interviewed quite a few Doctors, and I narrowed it down to Dr Quiroz and a doctor in GA. I chose Dr. Quiroz because I could stay and get the care I needed at the facility. They required me to be at the facility 2 days before surgery to get checked in, blood drawn and settled in before surgery. When I flew to San Diego, a Vido shuttle bus picked me up at the airport. Once at the facility, I was checked in and they took my blood work, blood pressure etc. The cardiologist had the personality of a rock. I was taken to my room where I would stay post-surgery and for the next 5 days. They are very well organized and friendly. The facility was clean, and the cleaning crew were constantly cleaning which was cool by me. My room was very nice and private. I was extremely nervous the day of my surgery, but a nurse gave me a pep talk and encouraged me that everything will be ok and I'm going to love my results. After surgery I stayed in my own private recovery room for the 1st 24 hours. I was in and out of sleep, but I remember Dr Quiroz coming in to check on me. I had no pain at all. To make a long story a little short, I was taken to my private room where I was able to get good rest. The staff checked on me at least three times a day. The entire staff on the second floor is AMAZING! They brought me three meals a day and let me tell you the food was soooo good and very healthy! Sometimes I wanted a little snack which was no problem due to the snack area that is on the same floor and was outside of my room. It had a cozy sitting area inside or you can go outside and sit and enjoy the little waterfall. There's a rooftop area with a beautiful view especially at night. The staff made sure I was comfortable and brought me my medication each day. They cleaned my surgery areas each day, took my blood pressure, and checked my temperature. They changed the linen on my bed as well. I felt so cared for and so special that I forgot there were other patients on the same floor in which I am sure received the same treatment. One nurse told me "it is her job to take care of me and it was my time to relax and be pampered and that she loved making me feel welcomed and pampered". On the 5th day my stitches were removed which didn't hurt at all. Afterwards, I left to fly back home, still no pain. Now let me tell you, there will be discomfort but not pain. My face felt extremely tight and that do not go away right away. I am 3 months post-surgery, and the tightness is somewhat still there but not as much as the first two months. The shuttle bus took me back to the airport. I know we all have researched, and we see people looking fabulous in just seven days and have their cute make up on. That was NOT the case for me. I was bruised and swollen. By the second week, the bruising and swelling was subsiding and i began to look normal again. I returned to work my 3rd week. I could've gone back in 2 weeks, but I decided to give myself an extra week. I hid the scars behind my ears with my hair, I wore bangs to hide the scars on my eyelids. As of today, I cannot see scars around my ear on my face, you cannot tell I had surgery, but the scars behind my ears are still fading but visible, but not bad. I still hide those with my hair. The scar underneath my chin is still visible, a light scar but no one notices it. The scar on my upper eyelids is visible on one eyelid and completely gone on the other eye. No one knows it's a scar, only I do because I know what I had done. I put a tiny bit of make up over and its like it's not even there. Keep in mind I am brown skin, so scars show on my pigmentation a bit more than lighter skin. People, please give yourself time to heal and do not think you're going to look like the people you see on social media looking so fabulous just days after surgery. I am not going to lie, there were a few times I panicked on my 9th and 12th days after I got home because I was not looking like those ladies on social media. I kept contacting the staff at Vido like what is wrong with me that I still look like Shrek lol. They always responded to my texts and emails and never made me feel stupid for feeling a little afraid. You WILL feel discomfort due to the nerves healing and oh that is a weird feeling. My face is still numb, but I am getting my feeling back slowly but surely. My advice is to follow Dr Quiroz's instructions and do what you are supposed to do. Stay away from direct sunlight, alcohol and sleep upright on your back. Be patient patient patient. This surgery is not for you if you are looking for quick results like botox or you're an impatient person. People I know cannot tell I've had anything done. A couple of friends said I look young, but they think it's because I changed my hairstyle lol. People who do not know me say I look young for my age. My kids say they do not see a difference because I have always looked young for my age. I'm praying it just gets better and better in these next few months. I want to look YOUNG shucks LOL! I need my look to match my energy :). Dr Quiroz is very nice; his staff is very nice. The young lady that does the lymphatic drainage massages is extremely funny and for her to be so young she has the best stories :). I have to mention Violeta, the sweetest, kindest, and friendliest person you'll ever meet. She made sure all of my concerns were addressed especially when I returned back home. I totally recommend staying at the facility post-surgery, you will not regret it. They made everything so much easier and took a lot of pressure off me and my family. Oh yeah, my children were very concerned about me going out of the country to have a major surgery by myself. So, my son flew out the day of my surgery. Vido made sure my son was settled into my room (the rooms have two beds). Vido shuttle bus picked him up from the airport as well and took him back when he left. They brought him food too. He called my other children and told them there was nothing to worry about, I was being well taken care of.

After searching and consulting with several plastic surgeons to do a face lift, all of them only focused on the lower part from my eyes to my neck, giving explanations that made no sense to me since they were the surgeons. After continuing searching I found the best Dr. Quiroz, with more than 30 years of experience doing facelifting. After consulting with Dr. Quiroz who was very detailed about my needs for a face-lift, at that moment I knew that he would be the one indicated by his experience with my procedure. I scheduled my surgery with Dr. Quiroz. I'm very grateful with the results of the facelifting. The experience and human quality of Dr. Quiroz is evident. All of Dr. Quiroz's staff are super friendly with an experience that surprised me and I was admired. The service that Briana gave me before the surgery and after was the best, not to mention in the reception room. After the surgery and spending a day in the recovery, I had super good service. The next day they took me to the recovery hospital for 5 days. The service, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was great. During my stay in recovery, a staff Maricela came for me and I learned the human quality, professional service, experience in her work and kindness from Maricela. I was very grateful to Maricela for all her services, which I continue to go for massages and she is the one who takes care of me. Dr. Quiroz. Thank you for the tremendous work you did on my facelift. I did not expect these spectacular results. This surgery with Dr. Quiroz was one of the best investments of my life with a fabulous result. From the first day of my consultation I knew that Dr. Quiroz would be the surgeon with whom I would have my facelift surgery. After my surgery, they took me to the recovery room for one day and then to the recovery room for 5 days where I received very professional service and very attentive to my needs. During those days of recovery, Dr. Quiroz was attentive to my recovery and daily check-ups. The service I received from Maricela in the lymphatic facial massages was excellent. In general, the entire Dr. Quiroz team was first class.

I have known Dr Quiros for 30 years. During that time me, my family and friends have had many procedures done including breast augmentation, facelift and fillers. I have always been thrilled with the care and results at Cosmed/ Vida wellness. I can afford to go to any surgeon in the US but Dr. Quiros is who I trust and highly recommend

When I decided to do a facelift in Tijuana, Mexico rather than the US, most of the people I told thought it would be very risky and scary. Honestly, any surgery is scary, but when I saw how quickly my face was showing signs of aging, that scared me more. So I decided to move forward with my research. I looked at a lot of YouTube videos, learned as much as I could, and then began researching doctors. After months of educating myself, I decided to go with Dr. Quiroz at Vida Health and Wellness Center in Tijuana. Dr. Quiroz has 23 years of surgical experience and is board-certified both in the US and in Mexico. While this level of experience is very attractive to me, I was most impressed with his clinic and the care that would be provided to me following my procedures. In the US, patients go home within hours of completing a major surgery. This sounded horrible to me.

I arrived in Tijuana on the 22nd of August, 2023. I checked into the Marriott Hotel (arranged by the surgical center) at a super-reduced rate. The next morning, my driver showed up right on time to take me to the center for pre-op. I had blood work and all my vitals were checked. I was able to ask any questions to my coordinator and I met with the center's dermatologist for my skin consultation. I had a lovely massage and facial at the spa in the center and was super relaxed. I was a little disappointed to learn that I was not able to meet with Dr. Quiroz as he was out of town for a family emergency, but I was able to talk with him the following morning prior to my surgery. Following my pampering, my driver took me back to the Marriott and I rested that night.

The day of surgery, I was well cared for and everything was explained to me again. I got to meet with Dr. Quiroz and decided at the last minute to go with the derm abrasion he recommended for my upper lip. I had a lot of lines and wrinkles on my upper lip for decades of using a straw.

I had a deep plane face and neck lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, fat transfer into my lips, and dermabrasion. My surgery lasted about 5 hours and afterwards, I spent the next 24 hours in the hospital recovery. I was kept very comfortable and slept pretty much the entire time.

The next day I was transferred downstairs to the lovely surgical recovery suites. I had a large private room with a private bath and TV, internet, 24-hour nursing care, and 3 healthy, delicious meals per day. I loved every minute of the aftercare experience where the staff made me feel like a celebrity. I had two more lymphatic drainage facials and a much-needed washing of my hair in the spa. They were so friendly and supportive. The nurses kept an eye on my vitals, drain output, and food intake. They cleaned my wounds and made sure I was comfortable.

Overall, my experience was very positive. I have a couple of cons but they are understandable. First, I wish I could have had a little more time with Dr. Quiroz prior to surgery. We had a couple of phone calls and he had lots of photos to look at, but I think a Zoom call would be a better way to connect with his patients. I think it would have made me feel better. The second con is being far away from the surgical center. Because I do not live in Tijuana, I felt a little removed from my medical staff during my recovery. Dr. Quiroz got on the phone with me a few times to answer my questions and reassure me, but face-to-face interaction is so much more comforting.

My biggest advice to you would be to be patient and give yourself time to heal. Dr. Quiroz and the staff have told me that I will begin to feel normal at 3 months and look healed at around 6 months. It takes a lot of mental focus to stay calm when you look so bruised and swollen for the first few weeks. Hang in there. It gets better. And finally, when you are choosing a physician, don't forget about the aftercare. I think staying in the recovery boutique was the best thing I did! The recovery following this type of surgery is a journey. Make sure you plan accordingly. And don't be scared. Mexico was lovely and I was very well taken care of!

Im an older male trying to decide between aging normal vs. plastic surgery. I wanted to go to the surgeon other surgeons go to. I found him. Dr. Quiroz. He's my guy! I called and spoke to Lilia, she sets up the process and is wonderful before handing off to pre admittance director Briana. She is incredible and kind. Dr. Quiroz's Director of admittance is Rocio. Wow, she is on top of things. Organized, smart, kind.
Dr. Quiroz's team and the Recovery Boutique are 5 star. Beautiful art work through out the building. I'm 4 months out and feeling wonderful. I'm so glad I made the decision to see the best. After you research and read a gazillion reviews go to Dr. Quiroz.

If you're considering plastic surgery, I'd like to share my experience with Dr. Quiroz at Vida Wellness and Beauty in Tijuana, Mexico.

The Clinic & Staff: Professional and Accommodating

I felt warmly welcomed at Vida Wellness and Beauty. My surgeon, Dr. Quiroz is not only professional and experienced, but he is also attentive, responsive and personable, which was very much appreciated. Rocio, the surgeon's assistant, stood out in particular. She was beyond helpful, guiding both my wife and me through the process with a keen eye for detail. Her dedication to ensuring I received all of the care I needed both before and after my procedures was not just professional but also genuinely caring. Her support was a significant part of my positive experience, and I can't thank her enough for her assistance and compassion.

The Surgery & Recovery: A Necessary Healing Journey

The procedures I had done were Lower Eyelid, Facelift, and a Brow Lift.
I spent 5 nights at the in-house Recovery Spa at Vida, and in hindsight, returning home right after surgery might not have been a wise choice for me. You can think of the Recovery Spa as a full-service hotel that includes a nursing staff. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Even though my appetite was subdued for the first few days after surgery, I found the food to be delicious. The team of nurses made sure I got the rest and care I needed to heal for the trip back home. Their support, combined with the spa's excellent facilities and the additional pampering services, made my recovery process much more comfortable. Additionally, Vida has a Spa offering a long list of services, including massages, most of which were included with my package.

Healing has taken longer than I expected it to, but the visual results are apparent. There's still some swelling and numbness but those things are only noticed by me. I've received so many compliments on looking younger and refreshed and that's been a real boost to my confidence.

Price & Value: Very Reasonable

I compared the costs with similar procedures in Southern California and Nevada, where I live. The quote at Vida was substantially less - by nearly half, without seeming to compromise on quality.

Conclusion: A Considered Recommendation

I recommend Vida Wellness and Beauty, Dr. Quiroz and his team. They were accommodating, the results were as I wanted, and the price was fair.

However, remember that plastic surgery is not a quick or easy fix. It requires patience, the right environment to heal, and an experienced and caring team. With the right setup like I found at Vida, it can be a positive experience, but it's essential to have realistic expectations and to do your research.

I just looked at the published version of my review and my overall review score shows up as 4 stars but in fairness, it should be very close to 5 stars. I rarely give the highest rating on any review I do because I figure there's always room for improvement. In the case of Vida and Dr. Quiroz, they're pretty darn close :)

I arrived for my pre-op the day before my surgery. I was greeted by Briana and she was the best. Guided me through each procedure and then escorted me to my room at the boutique. Food was edible and I got a good nights rest. The next morning Briana met me to take me to the surgical waiting room. I walked into surgery and before I knew it I was in my room and the surgery was complete. I slept well, Dr checked in on me. Next morning I was visited by the Dr. and released to go to the train station to return home. From the time I was picked up at the train station and I was returned to the train station on the 19th, I was greeted with nothing but beautiful young ladies, kind gentlemen and smiles. This was an even better experience than I expected. I returned a week later to have the stitches remove and got the same greeting from all. I highly recommend a visit for your procedure CosMed and Vida. I never had any pain or discomfort. I still have a little numbness on my head but I knew it could take 6 mos to heal completely so I'm expecting to look even better. I'm including pics I took along the process to almost today.
