Dr. Juan Carlos Fuentes did my facelift and he did my lower eyelids and neck. I think his patients, as myself, are like his drawings each time, artistically done, with great care technically. The recovery floor allows time for healing . It is quiet and the staff there are kind. Though I’ve met cosmetic surgeons in the U.S.,I will choose instead to return to Vida Wellness and Beauty. It is very clean and beautiful. And the anesthesiologist was the best I have ever met.I am thankful to have found Vida.,

Dr. Fuentes is a brilliant plastic surgeon.
He is mostly famous for his facial procedures. He did my facelift, neck lift and brow lift more than a year ago. I loved the results and came back to have liposuction 360, mini tummy tack and back lift.
I want specially acknowledge the amazing work he did on my body! Lots of reviews do not mention this other area of his expertise! There is a same precision, attention to all details and the same esthetical approach : natural look based on my body structure! I enjoy better me and my results are definite but not fake looking . I have beautiful lines that I used to have many years ago but no one can say : “ Oh, she had it done…”. I enjoy better fitting clothes as I always was a “ fashion doll” and specially love beautiful lines that I am able to create again on a ballroom dance floor.
Dr. Fuentes brought back quality of my life. His work is so much more than just “ superficial beauty “! Change is real, quality is real. Dr. Fuentes has my deepest gratitude.

I was very cautious about the procedure and had “realistic “ expectations about possible improvement, BUT: Dr. Fuentes is a true humble artist and he superseded my every expectation! I spend my younger years working hard as a single immigrant mother with no time or finances to take care of myself. In my middle fifties I could say to myself “ I made it!”. But this very tired women looked at me from the mirror and I started wondering if it is possible to turn the clock back… Dr. Fuentes did just that! I am extremely grateful to him and his wonderful team. I am coming back to “claim “my body back too and he is the only one I will trust with any of my “remodeling”!
Here is my experience:
1. I was guided through all process by the clinic staff and care coordinators.
2. Everyone paid attention to my concerns ( and, o my God, I had lots of them!)
3. Dr. Fuentes was extremely professional, easy to talk to , confident, well mannered and willing to answer all my questions.
4. I was provided all needed aftercare instructions and printouts to help me with post operative care.
5. I had no pain or discomfort after the surgery but Dr. Fuentes did his follow- up visits regardless of my relatively easy recovery in the clinic boutique.
6. Anesthesiologist is simply gifted! I “naturally” fell asleep and woke up after surgery easily and frankly in a good mood.
7.All test were done on-site with no wait time in between for my convenience.
8.Transportation to and from clinic for my visits was available all the time and easy to schedule.
Everything in the clinic was aimed to please patients and provided comfortable and relaxing environment. Facility is clean, staff well trained and costumer service is exceptional! But most important : Dr. Fuentes spent 9 hours “ working “ on me and delivered exceptional result! There is no words to express my deepest gratitude! Even there is a price for the surgery, my happiness is priceless!

It is already two years since I had my facelift done by Dr. Fuentes and I am still much in love with results. Those pictures are with very light make up ( foundation for smooth skin and fake lashes). If you have any doubts, trust Dr. Fuentes experience and knowledge. I still believe that from all the things I’ve ever done “ for myself only”-that was the best one.

From the time I arrived in San Diego, COSMED /VIDA took care of me every step of the way. Dr. Fuentes did a great surgery and kept in contact throughout my recovery. My questions and concerns were always addressed and taken seriously. It was a very positive experience and I'm thrilled with my results!

6 months after surgery- No make-up, No scars. Very happy to look younger. Had Facelift, Plat, Liplift, upper bleph, & fatpad removal. Recovery for a woman my age, in my health and with my sun damage took some time and patience. I encourage people to wait a full 6 months after surgery before making your final judgment. This is my 6 month photo update, no make-up and no scars! Very happy with looking younger and less haggard! I encourage everybody who opts for a Face-Lift, be patient. Don't make any judgements until after 6 months. It takes time, especially for a woman of my age and health.

I am two weeks post op today and so far I'm in love with my results! Im sure it'll look even better once it fully heals. Extremely happy I chose Fuentes. Such a natural result. I also had absolutely zero bruising!

This post is literally a year overdue. I went to Dr. Fuentes back in February 2022 for a lower lid blepharoplasty and had a great experience. He was great at communicating and made the whole experience feel seamless.

My experience as a patient of Dr. Fuentes has been wonderful, from botox and fillers to my breast augmentation and liposuction.

Regarding my breast augmentation I am in love with the result! At the beginning I had a larger size in mind, but I am very grateful to Dr. Fuentes for being so honest and realistic explaining me the pros and cons of what I wanted at that time. I followed his advice for a more conservative size and it was the best thing I could have done. My breasts look very natural but at the same time voluptuous without being vulgar. The scar is almost invisible and the implant is almost imperceptible to the touch. Needless to say that my self-esteem increased by 200% as I had never felt so confident and proud of my body.

In addition to that I had liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks, even though I never had a very curvy figure Dr. Fuentes was able to give me a beautiful and curvy silhouette and above all he did not leave a single scar or mark.

I definitely could not have chosen a more professional, talented and empathetic doctor. My whole process from the evaluation to the post op was smooth and pleasant, at no time did I feel doubtful or insecure, because Dr. Fuentes made sure I had all the necessary information on time and was there to answer all my questions.

Almost 4 years after my surgery I am the happiest I have ever been with the result.

I just got my surgery today, and let me just say I am very happy with my experience so far. The staff was very sweet, gentle, communicative and understanding. They check in a lot afterwards to make sure you’re ok and are very attentive. Doctor Fuentes knows what he’s doing! If you’re trying to make a choice between a cheaper surgeon and him, choose him. It’s better to pay extra to guarantee a good experience. I came out of surgery with NO bruising and no swelling. It’s been 14 hours since my surgery and the pain is minimal, so is the bleeding. So far this is better than I expected! It’s my first surgery ever, but every single person I talked to at Vida was super sweet and amazing. Every single one!

I got rhinoplasty to fix my deviated septum, a bump on my nose, and a droopy tip.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Fuentes and the staff at Vida Wellness. I will say getting in to see the doctor did take a while but I emailed and called to get my appointment. My initial consultation was back in October 2021 with a surgery date of February 2022.
My consultation went great and I felt comfortable with Dr. Fuentes. Keep in mind he’s a very quiet doctor but ASK QUESTIONS and he will answer truthfully and respectfully.
Due to family obligations I had to postpone my surgery to June 17, 2022 (their next earliest availability).
The scheduler was very understanding with my change (I did change it about a month before my initial surgery date).
Closer to my surgery date I became in contact with their Patient Care Coordinator named Andrea who was lovely from the start, she helped scheduled the pre-op appointments and instructions.
On the pre-op date I met with Andrea who was just as sweet in person as she was through email. Very helpful. Got my labs done that day and met with Dr. Fuentes for a final consultation before my surgery to answer any final questions about the procedure.
I had one major thing I needed to address with him. My original surgery was for both a rhinoplasty and breast augmentation.
Unfortunately, two weeks previously I had lab work done with my GP and I had been diagnosed with Lupus. Dr. Fuentes was very open and truthful about the reasons why I should not have my breast augmentation done and that portion of the surgery was cancelled without any issues with their financial and scheduling department.
The day of surgery went well. The staff was very friendly, explained the process very well to me whenever I had questions. Right before the surgery I met with the anesthesiologist (I forgot her name!) and she was very knowledgeable so I trusted her.
I was very nervous about going under but everything went smoothly.
Healing process the first week was easier than I thought it would be. I did not feel any pain on my nose, just an intense pressure. I did not bruise at all, just some mild discoloration and swelling around my face but that was it (I was prepared for the black eye look because I usually bruise incredibly easy).
Not being able to breathe through my nose the first week was hard, my mouth was very dry and my nose was incredibly drippy the entire week (not blood, blood dripping stopped at the second day).
Pain scale was genuinely about a 1-2, however sneezing HURT even though I tried to propel my sneeze through my mouth and not my nose. I only took my pain medication once but that was for body pains and aches and not for the nose area.
Overall I am very very happy with my experience with Dr. Fuentes, the staff, the surgery itself, and the healing process.
Plus I got a glimpse of my nose today at the cast change and I LOVE IT. Had to get it taped up again due to swelling but he genuinely understood what I wanted for my nose and delivered. It’s still very swollen and I feel like Miss Piggy because of it (lol) but the shape he gave me is exactly what I hoped I would have. My nose is symmetrical, my bump is gone, my nostrils are less wide, the tip has been raised to form cute curve. Can’t wait to see the swelling come down!
Throughout the entire process keep in mind to ASK QUESTIONS YOURSELF, they will gladly answer ANY questions but you have to ASK. They are very helpful in offering explanations but they can be brief about their explanation, if you want more in depth answers, ASK!
