I had FaceLift done May 9th 2015. It's been almost 4 months. I have a sharp pin like blue "sutures"?? poking through in front of both ears, and one "lump" where I can feel something under skin on neck that is protruding and shows up like a white bump. It is causing an irritation and sharp piercing pains.

Answer: Suture poking through skin almost 4 months after facelift It is possible that a suture could poke through the skin after a facelift. Different surgeons use different sutures, so I cannot tell you what type of sutures were used in your procedure. It would be best to contact your surgeon so that you can be examined. If there is a suture causing the issue, this normally can be resolved fairly easily in the office.

Answer: Sutures pocking through the skin 4 months after face lift... what to do? I am sorry that you are having concerns about your procedure and thanks for sharing your question and photos. I can appreciate your concern and agree with your assessment. The sutures used to put the deeper tissues together could be permanent or absorbable. Usually blue suture is called prolene (A permanent type of suture). The solution to the problem is to remove the suture. It is like removing a splinter, once it is out things should get better. Finally, make sure that your doctor is aware of your process. He should be able to guide you best in your care. Wishing you the best in your journey
