The mommy makeover is a popular procedure for moms who are concerned about the changes to their body after pregnancy. I customize the procedure for each patient, but it usually involves a combination of a breast augmentation, liposuction, and tummy tuck. A breast lift can be a great option for patients who have encountered sagging, while breast implants can help restore lost volume after breastfeeding.
When it comes to excess fat that has occured from pregnancy, liposuction is one way to reduce it, whether it’s in the abdomen, arms, thighs, hips, or other parts of the body. This can also be combined with a tummy tuck, which would help repair stretched muscles and remove excess skin. Breast augmentation is the most popular cosmetic surgery in the U.S., and it’s one of the most common procedures I perform at my Bethesda MD practice. Patients seek out breast augmentation surgery to restore volume following childbirth, make their breasts more proportionate, or simply increase the size of their natural breasts.
During a consultation, I take the time to understand your aesthetic goals and create a tailor-made treatment plan to help you achieve them. We will discuss the different breast implant options, including saline or silicone gel. A relatively new type of silicone implant that is becoming more popular is the “gummy bear,” made with form-stable or highly cohesive gel. These implants create natural-looking breasts that don’t lose their shape over time. We will also discuss how you’d like the profile and shape of your breasts to look, the incision placement, as well as everything you can expect as far as care and recovery.

Face and Neck Lifts

Even the most expensive face cream is no match for the sagging that comes with age, but facelift surgery can make you look 10 years younger. Patients who are concerned about deep wrinkles and sagging can turn back time with a face or neck lift. A full facelift is often done in combination with a neck lift, contour and tighten a sagging jawline and neck. A brow lift can tighten lax skin and smooth deep wrinkles in the forehead, while a mid facelift focuses on the under-eye area and cheeks. A lower facelift focuses on the bottom part of the face, addressing common issues like smile lines and jowls.
