I wanted a refreshed appearance and was looking for the perfect PS and found it in Dr. Folk. Not only highly skilled but personable and genuine. Great bedside manner from beginning to end. I healed up quickly and beautifully and hardly bruised. I looked like myself but 10 years (or more) younger especially my neck! I had it done before and was not happy. Now I wear any style neck line with pride. She also has the best office staff around. If and when I need more done I will not hesitate to go back to her. I endorse her 100%!
Personable and professional, Dr Folk was the right surgeon for my explant. I appreciated the fact that Dr Folk did not believe a breast lift was necessary as another surgeon I consulted with, did. At 68, I was not looking for unnecessary add-ons. The entire staff from Stephanie Paoli to Heather Graham were considerate and helpful. The Rose Medical Staff went above and beyond at Pre-op and Post-op. My anesthesiologist was excellent! Thank you all.
I had a breast reduction/lift (about a 1lb off each breast) and lypo around my midsection (removed 6 litres). Dr. Folk did an amazing job. I have a renewed confidence. She was so professional (but fun - she is super cheerful), explained the procedures very well, and was very honest about what I should and should not expect. My scarring is minimal. I can't rave enough about her and her staff. If you are considering any plastic surgery, as you can see, I highly recommend her.
Following two pregnancies and over 80 lbs of weight loss, I found my skin sagging, and breasts completed deflated. No amount of fitness was improving the situation. I was frustrated that all my hard work with diet and exercise left me with a smaller body, but also one that was less attractive than than when I started. I had consultations with other surgeons before I came across Dr. Folk in my research. I never felt comfortable or convinced I’d be happy with the outcome. Dr. Folk was an amazing burst of positive energy from the moment I met her. I scheduled my procedure on the spot, which included a belt lipectomy instead of a typical tummy-tuck, and a breast lift with implants. Dr. Folk is a perfectionist and four years later I am still in love with my results and so happy I made that decision. Despite a very intense procedure, I was out taking 2 mile walks within a week, and back to work, at a job requiring a lot of driving and getting in and out of a vehicle, within three weeks. My scars healed quickly and beautifully following the aftercare instructions. I recommend Dr. Folk to my friends and family, and anyone on the edge should take the plunge. My photos are on Dr. Folk’s website, under Before & After, Mommy Makeover Patient #8.
Dr. Folk made my dreams a reality. I am a transman and I had huge breasts that cause me dysphoria and sadness all my life. She was compassionate, kind, and accepting of me. I hadn’t had that before with a physician. My chest masculization surgery was painless and the results were amazing. I had huge breast but my chest looks amazing. She is the best and is LGBTQ friendly, accepting, and has real compassion and love.
I was overweight my entire life. In July of 2014 unmade Tempe decision to take my life back. I was tired of living on the sidelines, always too tires or too embarrassed and self conscious to get out there. I have an amazing husband me daughter, it I wanted to make the lot of every moment with them. The gastric sleeve was the tool I needed to reach weight goal. I stuck to the program my doctor had made for me, and the weight come off. I've maintained for about 2 years, and now it was time for the outside to match the inside. We knew plastic surgery was going to be needed, so we saved for two years in order to afford it. I met with a few surgeons, but for various reasons it didn't work it with the. THEN, I was lucky enough to find Dr. Stacey Folk here in Denver. She is absolutely amazing, and I count my blessings I was led to her! Her entire staff is incredible, and I booked my surgery with her at our first visit. She is full of energy, genuine, compassionate, honest, and just amazing! On Monday, June 2, 2017 she did my circumferential body lift and liposuction to my thighs. Even only 5 days out, I couldn't be happier with my results! She has given me the body I have always dreamed about, no there is no true way to thank her for that. I would recommend Dr. Folk and her staff to anyone!!!!
I've known I would have a breast lift for 15 (!) years and had done a lot of research on doctors and my options. I knew Dr. Folk would do an amazing job....even still, I had a lot of anxiety about anesthesia and going through with it now that I have small kids and a deployed husband. Dr. Folk and all of the women in her office (I loved my nurse, Heather) along with the hospital staff were so understanding and supportive. They addressed all of my questions, even the silly/small stuff and I never felt rushed. I got calls from everyone the day before and the day after the procedure and am still in communication with the nurse just to keep track of healing and scar care. I figured I wouldn't love the way my breasts looked right away because it would be hard to get past the scars. But, I'm just one month out and I am already thrilled with the results. Dr. Folk was so genuine and honest about the procedure options/expectations...I really felt like she cared about my recovery and end-result as much as I did. I would go back and do it all over again. With zero anxiety!
I have been an patient of Dr. Folk's for over 15 yrs. She has done a breast augmentation, liposuction, Botox and fillers on me. I am thrilled with my results and I adore Dr. Folk! She is a genuine and lovely person who spends more time with me than any other physician ever has. She has an amazing aesthetic eye and never makes me look "fake" rather just refreshed. I feel completely safe in her hands and I feel like she and her staff prepare me well for my procedures. They are great about answering my questions and never make me feel like I am a bother to them. She is hands down the best plastic surgeon in Denver. I am already planning my facelift with Dr. Folk.
I am 45 years old. 4 c-sections and a 70 lb weight loss. I am so very happy with my decision. I feel so good about myself! I am more confident, more outgoing. I get to wear the cutest clothes ever! The best thing I could have ever done! I will never regret this decision! More comfortable in my own skin not having a flap of skin hanging down. I get compliments all of the time about how good I look now.
I had considered replacing my 20 year-old saline implants with more natal looking silicone and having them placed below the muscle for several years but was hesitant about surgery, general anesthesia, and recovery since I am now 62, not 42 the first time around. I am so happy I decided to have the procedure done.
The vast majority of face and neck lifts I do also get volume replacement in the form of fat transfer or filler later on. They are very complimentary procedures. Based on your photos I think it would be a very nice approach for you.
Likely your surgeon would use dissolvable sutures. These can be visible for a short time after surgery (typically weeks or a couple of months), but not long term.
Based on your height and weight I would guess that you are in the smaller range. The easiest way to treat this could be Coolsculpting which is an effective non-invasive way to remove fat. There is no downtime and the final effects are seen at 3 months. It is not uncommon to treat each area more than one time for the best results. Another option could be liposuction, and depending on the patient it could possibly be done using a local anesthetic (just numbing medicine), or with more anesthesia to make you groggy or asleep. There will be more downtime but recovery is pretty easy when compared to other surgical procedures. Liposuction allows you to be more aggressive in one setting. Remember that removing too much fat can then create a new problem (contour irregularities and laxity). There are also procedures that can be done simultaneously to also help the skin tighten like Renuvion. An in person consult is best because some people mistake that a protruding lower abdomen is due to fat, when in fact it is from muscle laxity after pregnancy. We again have a non-surgical option (Emsculpt or Cooltone), and surgery like an abdominoplasty.Best of luck,
Dear Malcayla,If you are unhappy with the size (and asymmetry) of your breasts, implants are a good option. If you are unhappy with the droopiness the added volume and potentially a lift can also help change the shape. The combination can have a big impact, but some natural characteristics of your breasts will persist. During a consultation your goals can be realized and what it takes to get there can be discussed. Honestly, results are rarely perfect, but it certainly would be nice for you to be happier with your appearance. Best of luck,
Improving the breast shape and proportions after your reduction may be as simple as removing a crescent of horizontal skin along the inframammary crease below the breast. It is not uncommon to need the skin revised over time following a mastopexy or reduction to maintain the best result. The addition of an implant can give more fullness in the upper portion of the breast, but could also be counterproductive to why you had a reduction in the first place. An exam would help to determine which option would help you achieve your goals. Congratulation on your weight loss!
