I am beyond thrilled with the results of my neck lift performed by Dr. Ridgway 6 months ago. My neck had suffered significant damage from years of sun exposure, leaving me extremely self-conscious about wearing anything that showed it. To make matters worse, a previous consultation with another plastic surgeon left me feeling defeated when he told me there was nothing that could be done and even commented on how rough my skin looked. It was a crushing experience. Not willing to give up, I discovered Dr. Ridgway after reading his glowing reviews. From the moment I met him, I knew I was in the right hands. His bedside manner is incredible—he’s kind, honest, and truly sincere. He spent so much time with me during our consultation, carefully listening to my concerns and assuring me that he could help. He was genuinely disheartened to hear about my previous experience, which made me feel seen and cared for. Dr. Ridgway didn’t just perform a procedure; he transformed my life. I now feel confident in how I look, and I’m no longer afraid to wear clothing that reveals my neck. I can’t express how much this has changed my self-esteem and how I carry myself. His office staff and nurses are equally amazing—so kind, patient, and professional. From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless and uplifting. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ridgway without any hesitation. He is truly a Godsend, and I will always be grateful to him for giving me my confidence back. —SW
After years of struggling with insecurities related to my nose and double chin, and undergoing Kybella twice alongside multiple rhinoplasty consultations with doctors who simply weren't the right fit, I made the decision to undergo septorhinoplasty and MicroLipo chin liposuction in December with Dr. James Ridgway. The moment I stepped into Ridgway Face & Aesthetic Center, everything felt right. The office was not only beautiful but also impeccably clean. Upon meeting Dr. Ridgway, I became certain he was the perfect choice. His profound knowledge and personable demeanor stood out. He took the time to explain his background, expertise, and the details of the procedures I was looking for, revealing a genuine passion for his work that further boosted my confidence in him. He listened attentively to my concerns and preferences for my 'new nose' before creating nose simulations to ensure the result would harmonize with my face, look natural, and enhance my appearance without appearing overdone. It was perfect. The surgery went smoothly, and the post-operative period has been surprisingly comfortable, with minimal swelling and pain. Today marks 4-weeks post-op, and my recovery process continues to be smooth, thanks to the attentive nursing staff and regular follow-ups from Dr. Ridgway. The team at Ridgway Face & Aesthetic Center exceeded my expectations. If you're contemplating facial cosmetic procedures, I couldn't recommend him more! Worth every single penny; I just wish I had found him sooner!
I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Ridgway during my revision septorhinoplasty. His skill in guiding me through such a significant decision made me feel at ease, ensuring I was confident in the journey to go under the knife again. The nursing staff also played a crucial role in my comfort, providing a calming presence on the morning of surgery and attentive care during recovery. Their support made a noticeable difference in my overall experience. It's been 9 months since my surgery, and I'm thrilled with the results – my breathing has significantly improved, and my nose looks stunning. Dr. Ridgway's skillful approach minimized bruising during recovery, showcasing his expertise and commitment to patient well-being. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ridgway and his team for anyone considering a revision septorhinoplasty.
I met with four doctors as I was exploring getting a septorhinoplasty. I had a crooked nose and majorly deviated septum. I went with Dr Ridgway due to his high attention to detail, time spent answering all my questions, and perfectionism. A couple of the other doctors I met with were more flashy, more affordable and seemed to have done more rhinoplasties but I knew I was making the right choice. My surgery was on 8/1, almost two weeks ago, and I am so glad I went with Ridgway. You are in great hands with him and I am very picky and have high standards- he did not let me down! My results are fantastic
I was nervous about getting facial cosmetic surgery, and after waiting 6 years, I am beyond thrilled with my results. Dr. Ridgway and his staff genuinely care and made sure I understood everything I should expect. My confidence has been renewed and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face!
Dr. Ridgway is a fantastic doctor - he delivered an absolutely wonderful result for my rhinoplasty. I'm very glad that I trusted him throughout the process. Truly, a life-changing experience. All of the staff are friendly, polite and accommodating as well. The beautiful views of Bellevue don't hurt, either!
20 years ago, l had an accident that broke my nasal septum. I had a surgery and since then l wasn't able to breath well from my left nostril, added to that issue it looked cosmetically horrible. I found Dr. Ridgway's office online and make an appointment. I had my surgery in Oct. 2022 and it was the best decision l've ever took in my entire life. The post-operatory process was very smooth, especially the pain was very well managed thanks to Dr. Ridgway's anesthesia technique. Three months after my surgery, my nose looks normal and cute, the most important is that l can breathe perfectly fine! Running or high-impact workouts are less exhausting because l don't have that blockage in my nose. I feel very happy and grateful with Dr. Ridgway and his entire team for the excellent service and the sweet smiles they offer. I am glad and very fortunate to have found Dr. Ridgway. He's an excellent plastic surgeon, a kind human being, and pretty funny too! Don't hesitate to contact Dr. Ridgway if you need a professional procedure.
I cannot recommend Dr. Ridgway and his team enough! They are true professionals in every sense. I had a very complicated septorhinoplasty and I was so nervous because this would be my 3rd revision. I had been to other top surgeons in the area for the two previous revisions with not so great results so you can imagine how scary this was for me. The other doctors did not even have follow up appointments after the initial 7-10 day stitch removal so that says a lot! Dr. Ridgway truly took the time and made me feel at ease every step of the way. He followed up frequently through the 18 months to make sure things were healing and that I was happy with the result. If you are looking for an expert cosmetic surgeon, who can handle even the most complicated issues, Dr. Ridgway is without question the BEST choice!
Over the past few years, I have contemplated a facelift. I am in shape and feel great, which no longer matches what I see in the mirror. I consulted with three local doctors and one out-of-state, all double-board certified and highly recommended. I chose Dr. Ridgway, and I am so glad I did. Here's why: 1/ His results. His work is superb, he is an artist with tremendous attention to detail, and it shows. I look just like me, but younger. No one could tell what I had done; they kept saying I looked "great." 2/ His focus. He focuses entirely on you and your concerns when you are with him. I met him a few times before surgery, and he answered all my questions calmly and confidently. And kept asking if I had more. After the surgery, you will receive Dr. Ridgway's phone number if anything arises. And he encourages you to call, even if it is a simple question. 3/ His staff. They are experienced, professional, and so helpful. I called a few times before and after my procedure, and they answered my questions thoroughly and quickly. If they needed to ask Dr. Ridgway about one of my concerns, they returned my call promptly. There is a lot to consider when you are considering a facelift. It's a big decision, and you need to have a lot of trust in your surgeon. I felt confident going into surgery with Dr. Ridgway, and I am thrilled with the results. He is highly skilled, and his work speaks for itself.

Dear Cherry Jagar, Thank you for your question. Vertical length can be created using fat transfer, but the dimension of length becomes more challenging the greater the vertical increase due to graft survival. Silicone (not liquid, but solid implants) can create a more uniform shape that has definition, feels like your skeleton and is non-mobile. Hope this help you. Be healthy and be well, James M. Ridgway, MD, FACS
Dear an132, Thank you for your question. Two other items that are helpful to know and see is how your lips rest (slightly open) and to feel if there is a large outcropping of bone right at the center of your nose. This would be at the base of the columella (this this the tissues right between the two nostrils). The reason for this is to see if your upper lip is restricted in motion by bone versus lip excess. I hope this helps you and wish you the best in the new year. Be healthy and be well, James M. Ridgway, MD, FACS
Dear Carlos.Dac,Thank you for your question. There are a number of next generation therapies that are utilized for hair restoration/preservation. These include PRP (platelet rich plasma), laser, and Botox. Preliminary studies in the treatment of scalp sweating with Botox had serendipitous findings of hair growth/hair preservation. The concept is that the Botox promotes vascular circulation to the relaxation of musculature. This, of course, is a new field/application that is just being applied and reviewed - All the details are still being worked out as well as who it is right for who it is not. I hope this helps you and in finding the right answer for you.Be healthy and be well, James M. Ridgeway, M.D., FACS
Dear SeattleChick, Thank you for your question. The question you ask is a very important one, and depending on who you ask - the answer may vary. There are number of specialists who perform good work: Facial plastic surgeons, whole body plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and oculoplastic surgeons. Ultimately, with appropriate training each of these individuals has the "education" to perform good work. One of the more important elements though is the results of the said providers and how their patient's advocate for the service they have received. There is no one review site that provides a comprehensive "tell all" of the provider, but starting at RealSelf is a great start. Ultimately, at the end of the day, he will need to sit down and meet with providers to determine who is the right individual for you. I hope this helps you in finding the right answer for you.Be healthy and well, James M. Ridgeway, M.D., FACS
Dear heartbrie1998,Thank you for your question in the images you have provided. The images that you have provided classically show "ptosis" of a chin fat pad. What this means is that when you smile the fat pad rotates down and back, off of the "bony" chin of the jaw. The correction of this is a surgical procedure with meticulous reduction of the fat pad as well as reduction of skin along the chin. The scar is hidden under the chin and out of sight. If this is something that you wish to address, then you need to see somebody who specializes in the treatment of the face as well as the review their specific before and after images for this specific type of procedure. I hope this helps you find the best answer for you.Be healthy and be well, James M. Ridgwway, M.D., FACS
