Quick history before I found Dr. Dean Vistnes: - 8 prior surgeries - 8 prior capsular contractures (last two surgeries contracture in both breasts) - doctors were certified and famous Dr. Vistnes is amazing. He is innovative, confident, knowledgeable...the list can go on. He did new pockets under muscle, with gel implants and mesh under the implants. 8 weeks post and not a single issue. I am so very happy I found him! Best doctor ever. The staff is amazing too by the way :)
I had a facelift, upper and lower blepharoplasty and neck lift 10 days ago. I am recovering wonderfully and could not be happier. Dr. Vistnes was honest in his recommendation for the best treatments to meet my concerns. I would highly recommend him.
I wear a 32B but I feel like my band size is smaller than that. I think my right breast is smaller than my left, I do have to make the bra strap (painfully) tighter on that side to lessen the bra gap. Hoping that I can get more CC on that side to evenly make my breasts larger. I want to get gummy bear implant to keep the natural shape of breasts without looking like I put half a bowling ball on my chest. I wish to become a full D cup. I plan on losing ~10lbs (currently 120-125lbs). I also have found some pictures of ideal sizes and looks. ONLY THE BEFORE PHOTOS ARE MINE. PHOTO INSPO ARE NOT MINE. I have edited them to blur out the nipples as well as stated information I got from websites. Updated on 10 Mar 2018: 4 weeks until going to see a few plastic surgeons in my area for a consultation.I've been doing research and looking at a lot of reviews online. My initial thought on getting a breast augmentation was that the ONLY place to do it with great results would be basically anywhere in SOUTH KOREA. However, with research and pictures from local surgeons, I realized South Korea isn't a priority for me anymore... Here's why. South Korea is notoriously known for plastic surgery vacations. The KPOP idols' unrealistic features encourage many to look like them and make the idea of plastic surgery a "must have" for many. Looking at a couple famous plastic surgery clinics in Korea, they advertise with pride and detail of technique used in the surgery. From mathematical ratios of desquamation to the pectoral muscle, to the promotion of the "tear-drop" shape implant being the only implant to provide natural and beautiful results. This is all backed up by their many post-surgery photoshoots of beautiful women in swimsuits and tight dresses as well as many before and after shots of young, slim, fair skinned women. So, in comparison to the very basic medical before and after photos on American plastic surgeons' websites of women from all shapes, sizes, and ages- South Korea appeals more to the eyes at first glance. Surgeons in Korea know how easy this eye trick works, and spend thousands on advertisements and even go as far as offering/giving famous youtubers a chance to get plastic surgery done for free in exchange for "an honest review" on their high view-count channel. This ultimately leads to very expensive prices on procedures that CAN be maybe $2-3,000 cheaper if done in America. So now that I've realized this, I read as many reviews and visited many websites of plastic surgeons in my area, looking for before/after photos of people similar to my figure. Compared to Korea, it's really difficult to judge before/after photos because they're taken in a very basic fashion, no high-end photoshoots to display great results. From the research I've done online, Korean websites without a doubt helped me understand the process of the procedure with great detail of information ranging from what/what not to do before the procedure, choices of where the implant will go and how, what happens during the surgery, and what happens/what you need to do after the surgery. Keeping this in mind, instead of going with the surgeon who charges the most, I looked for honest surgeons who were comfortable enough to put the details of their breast augmentation procedure online as well as before/after photos with details on what type, how much cc was used, and where the implant was placed. Thankfully, I did end up with 3 "finalists" I would end up scheduling a consultation with. I haven't made any consultation with surgeons yet, I plan on scheduling them when I get to my ideal body weight and tone up as much as possible before having to be out of the gym for possibly 3 months after my procedure. BEING 20 YEARS OLD AND WANTING GUMMY BEAR IMPLANTSIf you're under 22y/o and done some research online, you'll know that according to the FDA, it is not recommended for women under 22 to get a gummy bear or silicone implant. There is no study suggesting these are "unsafe" until you turn 22. HOWEVER, it IS POSSIBLE to get these if you're not interested in a saline implant, you will just have to talk to your surgeon and tell them you acknowledge the FDA advises against it and you understand the risks and still wish to have a silicone/gummy bear implant. If you do get it, it may void the warranty and will be considered "off label,"you'll also probably have to sign a waiver. I have sent an email to 3 clinics asking if they are willing to perform my surgery considering my age. I will post the answers when they all reply to my message. NOW. WHY? I've always been self-concious about the size of my breasts ever since I started developing. I was literally THAT GIRL in middle school stuffing her bra as everyone was talking about how they were already filling up their 32B sized bra. Now, I don't stuff my bra anymore but I am still not a full 32B (while my younger sister is already a full C). I also hate wearing bras because they're so uncomfortable and hurt my shoulders. I want to feel more confident and sexy about my body. I have a good butt, slim waist, but the only thing missing are my boobs. I want to fill out my clothes and look good in a bikini, so I'm aiming for a D cup. MY MEASURMENTS:5 ft 6in (167cm)120~125lbs(54-56kg); I'm going by how my body looks to "guestimate" how much I weigh. goal is to be 115lbs(52kg). My "bra size" is 32B, however, I feel like technically it's something else, because I feel like I have a narrow chest. 28.5" under my bust, 29.5" around the top of my bust, around my nipples 30". waist is 25", which I hope to get down to 24" before my procedure. Updated on 5 Apr 2018: Today I went to two of the surgeons I'm interested in today. And of course I found out I’m not even the cup size I thought I was! I’m smaller. 34A is equal to 32B right? Depressing ???? My very first consultation was at 10 AM. I didn't know if I was going to be doing fittings or not so I wore a bralette and a tight shirt. When I got to the first clinic, the medical assistant welcomed me in and took me to the back to take pictures of my breasts via Vectra Imagine. I filled out some paperwork and then waited in the office for Doctor Vistnes to begin the consultation. Right off the bat, he was friendly and it didn't feel awkward at all looking at my breasts together. He asked what size I am, I told him I wear a 32B, to which he said I'm very likely not a B, most likely an A or AA (sad). He also told me I am a very good candidate for BA since my breasts are the "scientifically formulated dimensions for the most attractive looking breasts." He talked about the importance of making the incision under the breast fold since; 1) you can't fit a silicone through the armpit, the armpit is easily tanned (bad scarring), and how it will be difficult to form an accurate pocket to insert the implant; and 2) the nipple is an opening, so there are mostly harmless bacteria inside the breast tissue (just like how there are bacteria in your mouth)- but if you get the bacteria on the implant, it will cause capsular contracture. He also stressed the importance of choosing the right diameter for the implant because the wrong diameter may make your breasts lay further apart, too lopsided, etc. The doctor himself has won a couple awards for satisfaction and people's choice, he sees BA as one of his specialties. He told me birth control is safe to use, nicotine isn't really a BIG issue, and my already prescribed muscle relax will actually be a helpful aide in the recovery process. Then he showed me a what a few different implants will look like on my breasts using the imaging technology. All in all his staff was very nice and let me know the Doctor is going to be on vacation until the 16th after this week. I was also contacted using the actual staff's (i hope not) personal numbers, as well as a card for the manager. This Doctor's BA cost is about $8500. Then, I went to the other Doctor's consultation. I've seen his ads for coolsculpting at 24 gym but I found him from realself. I read reviews about him being really frank and having crude humor so I brought my husband along with me. When we got there, I did paperwork and they took me to the back. The female manager was very nice, professional and business-like. Over the phone I told her I am set on getting saline implants. When the Doctor came in, he told me since I am under 22 years old, and silicone isn't FDA approved for my age, he's not comfortable and not willing to risk the liability of giving me off-label implants. However, he did give me my measurements let me try on multiple breast implants and invited me to come back when I'm 22. So they gave me a non-padded, unlined 34C and shoved the implants inside lol. I tried on 345, 375, and 405cc. I only have the picture of (375 or 345) and 405. She says each size up is not that big of a difference, like a shot glass more but I think 405 is a little bit too huge. The female manager says she low key regrets going up to a DD. So since they told me I'm a "good size" 34A, I'll probably get a full C or just a D! My hubby is advocating for a “D cup! D cup!” But I think he’s not going to be able to tell the difference once I get these tiny A’s done! Right after the second consultation I called up the other place and set a date for the pre-op and surgery date! The price is going to be about $8,500 with (an extra? have to clarify) $500 deposit for booking the surgery date! Now I have to continue to shred and get to my ideal body! I will update again after my pre-op on April 24! Updated on 10 Apr 2018: So here are some before photos and videos of my boobies along with the pre-surgical information provided by my doctor. He also told me to buy SkinMedica Scar Recovery Gel with Centelline. It’s a little bit expensive (around $40?) but I found it on Overstock.com for ~$20! I also bought vitamin C oil and E oil for scar recovery. He told me to stay off all fat burners and vitamins, so tomorrow is my last day of taking CLA & Carnitine as well as fiber gummies (to be safe) and I’m going to stop using my Juul as soon as this last pod ends. As for my cyclobenzaprine- it’s still okay to take it thankfully, but to be careful I’m going to stop medicating my back pain with marijuana until after the surgery. I can’t believe I am actually doing this. It’s too late to back out now since I already put down a $500 deposit for booking the surgery. I guess I’m getting cold feet. Updated on 29 Apr 2018: But forgot to take pics!! Sorry guys. I got there, filled out all the paperwork, which was just signing and also handing in the checks. Went to the back, changed into the open paper shirt thing and the lovely medical assistant took my BP then quickly but throughly went over all the pre-op & post-op instructions. Including, what to do the night before, how early to come, what sports bras are recommended for recovery, what my medications are for, what to expect immediately after, and a couple personal recommendations from her own personal experience. After, my PS came in and said “well this case couldn’t get easier” which is very easing for my nerves bc he said I’m “a perfect candidate.” I told him I wanna do Full C/ small D, and he popped some implants into my sports bra and let me compare and try on some shirts as he explained and clarified more info on the implants and how to compare two different implants. I told him I don’t want the infamous “melon boobs” and he told me assuringly that my breasts will have the natural slope and ratios of real breasts. I tried on two different implants at a time, 450 and 500. I immediately liked the “smaller one”, but I told him how I often heard of other women wishing they could’ve gone a little bit bigger. He told me that’s only about 20% of the time. And to get the shape of the implant I like right now, a similar implant, only 35ml bigger (which is barely a cm difference on a ruler) and a tiny bit wider since my natural breasts end before the side of my chest. This will make the arm pit fat down to the sides of my new breasts smoother and prettier. I tried on the implants with different shirts. One white half sleeve loose shirt, one black sleeveless high neck, and one color long sleeves crop. I tried the white on first and they looked RIDICULOUSLY huge. The doctor told me White is the color that makes your boobs look the biggest (good fashion tip), then I tried on the black and color shirt where the implants looked amazing! It was really unbelievable that my body looked so different. It was hard to grasp the reality of it and get used to the look. Which apparently is completely normal. The PS kept assuring me this looks great on my figure with my current proportions. My husband was here the whole time but only looked up a couple times from his phone. He doesn’t care as long as it’s big, which they are! Updated on 29 Apr 2018: 3 days before my surgery! It’s so crazy I can’t believe I’m doing this. I keep looking up 450cc & 485cc reviews. I keep worrying if it’s going to be too big. But looking at most Natrelle implants they seem to be mostly on the bigger side. Thankfully the girls look great with 450/485cc. I just hope I do! I’m getting Natrelle Inspira SRF 485cc full profile implants. My goal was to get to a very full C/ small D. We’ll see how the results are... Updated on 2 May 2018: Ahh I couldn’t sleep at all last night I was so nervous! When I got to the surgical center with my husband at 630 AM, I changed into the hospital gown, got settled into bed and the anesthesiologists walked me and my husband through what to expect these next 72 hours. Funnily, I was surprisingly calm and the anesthesiologists even questioned it- but it was all thanks to how they welcomed me I had no doubt I was in the right hands. Updated on 2 May 2018: When the surgeon came to see me, he again expressed his utmost confidence in the procedure and continued to mark up my chest with a marker. The anesthesiologists started administering liquids into my IV and chatted with me as they rolled me to the OR and put me on the table. I got in a few last words before closing my eyes and when I opened, we were done! When I came to, they told me the surgery went great and they’re confident in the results. The anesthesia (and paralyzing medication?) was wearing off and my body was so weird. But after 5 minutes of being awake my husband and one of the anesthesiologists walked me to the car and sent me on my merry way! Updated on 2 May 2018: I’m surprisingly not in a huge amount of pain (We’ll see how long that lasts). Although the dosage for my painkiller narcotic, PERCOCET, is two (2) every 6 hours, I only took one half and I feel fine still! Even with one half though I ended up feeling nauseous. I guess I didn’t eat enough but as soon as I took the RECTAL NAUSEA MEDICATION I felt better! I also have drainers attached to my boobs because I guess there’s body fluid and blood? Hanging out in my [RS bleep]. I think they come out during my follow up on Friday or if not Wednesday. Fluid usually comes out when I move a lot and each time my husband measures it (docs order) and drains it out for me. Standing up from laying down or reverse feels pretty weird on my chest. The shift in gravity I guess. I’m going to take my muscle relax soon and hopefully that will help me fall asleep. I didn’t sleep at all last night! My surgery was way too early for my sleeping schedule lol. Hopefully I can nap but I’m just so excited for my new girls! Updated on 2 May 2018: Once my [RS bleep] start to drop and fluff, I’ll post after pics with the same clothes! I gotta get these [RS bleep] off my camera roll! ???? Updated on 2 May 2018: The Percocet makes me feel nauseous and like I’m having trouble breathing even on one half of a pill. They warned me exactly of this. Eating food was hard earlier so I didn’t eat much. Maybe that’s why. But the rectal med helps. I just went on a walk about the block it was pretty easy! Jm watching tv in bed now :) Updated on 2 May 2018: Updated on 3 May 2018: It’s really hard not to use your chest muscles. Even try to pick up water or turn the door [RS bleep] and even trying to pull down my own pants hurts. And the top of my boobs are really sore too. I can almost feel how my skin is stretching. This morning I switched to Advil 600mg but my sides are really sore I just took 1/2 of pecocet. I go to my first post op tomorrow. Hopefully everything will be okay. Updated on 3 May 2018: My stomach looks like I’m 5months pregnant! Not sure if it’s the amount of water I’m drinking or the antibiotics, muscle relax and painkillers I’m taking.. I also noticed I get very emotional sometimes. It could be the cocktail of meds I’m taking for this pain or stress from all this, but it’s really weird ... thankfully my husband doesn’t give up taking care of me. Updated on 4 May 2018: I slept so weird last night... constantly sitting on my tail bone at and angle is really straining my back and making my posture terrible. Woke up with a stiff neck, sore back, and tight chest. Had to take 1/2 percocet. But I recommend smoothies for those who have lost their appetite or just can’t handle the work of chewing lol. I put in avocados or bananas for my fruit smoothies with a bit of almond milk or orange juice, and honey! They digest quickly so it’s great for taking medicine! If I wait to eat food at the same time as taking Percocet, I’ll get really nauseous and emotional. So smoothies help because they digest quicker than bread and other hard foods. I don’t have any bad symptoms! Updated on 4 May 2018: Went in for my first post op exam and They Just took me out of the dressings and into my sports bra. The large still isn’t large enough for my boobs but they are at their fullest right now. I ended up having to keep the drainers in and they pushed my weds appt to Monday. For now only the point where the drainers are hurt. Updated on 4 May 2018: When I poke my boobs it feels like I’m poking a very full balloon covered by a blanket. Updated on 5 May 2018: They’re really stiff and high still. Literally feels like poking a soccer ball. I haven’t been able to put my hair in a ponytail for days and my hair is gross now. The drains are the most uncomfortable/slightly painful part of my boobs rn. My top half of my body is really oily too. I need my husbands help with everything still. It’s stressful for him too tho. I really want to use my juul but I’m afraid of bleeding more. Updated on 6 May 2018: And I exchanged my Med sports bra to a large but it clearly still doesn’t fit. Won’t even zip up all the way. Have to go back to target to get an XL. My drains have started to go down a bit. Left one is starting to have some yellow come out while the right has more yellow and less blood in comparison. All last night I was worried about my boobs getting a capsular contracture. I hope it’s not ???? Updated on 7 May 2018: My breasts have been feeling really tight and numb and even more tight when I try to push my shoulders back into good posture. I’ve been taking muscle relax which seems like it would really help but I’m so worried somethings wrong w my boobs ???? I know that some tightness and soreness is normal post op but I have no idea how much of that makes it not normal anymore. I have my second post op appointment today. Hopefully everything is okay... Updated on 7 May 2018: Went to my post op appointment and they told me everything looks good but my bleeding is still a little much to take the drainers out. When it’s under 30/24hrs, then i can get these damn drainers out!!! They’re so uncomfortable and always pokes me. I can’t wait for these things to come out so I can finally start using my arms and give myself a shower! I’ve been using cleansing wipes for my face since I can’t move my arms enough to actually wash it. I hope my skin doesn’t get too bad... Better safe than sorry though, .. ;( Updated on 9 May 2018: When I finally had the minimum amount of blood in my drains I got to take them out. We figured out I was bleeding SO much because I was drinking so much water! Who knew? It was really uncomfortable when the nurse had to pull out the drain. I never want to feel that again ???? Tomorrow I start phase 1 of massage I guess. Just pushing from the bottom to lift the boob. I got cleared for light cardio and lower body starting after this weekend. I also need to finish my antibiotics and hopefully this bloating will go away. Updated on 9 May 2018: My boobs feel like they’re having a subtle Charlie horse all the time. Still don’t have 100% feelings in my boobs especially nipples. I’m a little worried these are too big? Like stupidly huge. Husband says he’s okay with it (of course) , but I hope I don’t end up regretting this and hope they will be a little less dramatic when they drop and fluff. Updated on 11 May 2018: Done with my antibiotics and don’t need painkillers anymore! Boobs are starting to feel softer, I don’t have obnoxious shelf boobs that much anymore! Still wear a sports bra 24/7. Nipple sensitivity is crazy, even if water hits them in the shower it kinda hurts. I ended up taping cotton pads over them. Actually helps a ton! Updated on 11 May 2018: OK There’s still a LITTLE bit of shelf, but it’s the tolerable “push up bra” look. Husband told me I look at myself more confidently now. Which I guess I do ???????? The cotton pads over the nips are there bc it’s so sensitive right now! I didn’t have that much bruising post op, just maybe twice what I have right now (bc of drains maybe?) Updated on 13 May 2018: Hey! These are lists of things that I did or wish I did that really helped me get through the first week of HELL. There are 5 categories: CLOTHING; HYGIENE; FOOD & MEDS; USEFUL ITEMS; and TIPS & SIDE EFFECTS. Check these lists and learn something new! Enjoy~ —C L O T H I N G— “Don’t wear anything that has to be pulled over the head, wear a button up shirt for surgery” • Get stretchy clothes or clothes with a big enough neck to pull up from the bottom. - Dresses, off shoulder shirts, rompers, active wear. • Wear a tank top under your recovery sports/compression bra. - Wear same bra for multiple days. - Buy multiple bras (3 total) so you can have. rotation while you wash the others. • Wear active shorts with underwear lining - Pulling up leggings is a STRUGGLE. —H Y G I E N E— • Micellar water and cotton pads to wash your face. • Deodorant wipes for your underarms • Baby wipes for around chest. • Keep hair in a loose scrunchie or curly tie - Have a girl tie your hair up, my husband couldn’t do it. • Someone trying to wash your hair in the shower without getting bandages wet is too complicated and not worth it. - if you’re rich enough (I’m not), you can go to the salon and have them wash your hair for you. • Move soaps and frequently used items to hip height. - Taking a shower on my own I had to use my foot to push the pump down. —F O O D & M E D I C I N E— • DON’T drink tons of WATER immediately after post op and while still on pain killers and antibiotics. - You’ll notice more bleeding and more bloating if you do. • You really should eat something with medication to reduce nausea. - Try to aim for foods greater than 200 calories. - Protein bars ftw! • PERCOCET (prescription pain killer) - Instead of going with one pill straight after surgery, start with one half. - I never had to use one full pill at once even though the dosage is 1-2. - Try to switch to 600mg Ibuprofen ASAP. Percocet’s side effects are not worth it if you’re not in as much pain anymore. • MUSCLE RELAX - Not only will it ease the tension, but it will help your implants drop more quickly too. • AVOID SALT - Ask for less salt or none when ordering. • SMOOTHIES - Frozen mixed berries with some OJ or Almond milk and also banana or avocado. - Get in calories and nutrients when you can’t/don’t feel like eating food. • BIRTH CONTROL PILLS - I did not need to stop, however verify with your PS. —U S E F U L I T E M S— • LAPTOP TRAY or collapsable standing tray - Or move up your night stand to more convenient position. - Put food, remotes, meds, etc. for an easy reach. • STRAWS. As long as possible - Picking up a drink activates your chest surprisingly, and it hurts too. • SHOWER PUFF ON A STICK - So you can wash away all the backne you got from using the same compression bra for multiple days. :( • NIPPLE STICKERS - They’ll be hard and you might rub or accidentally touch it with something and it hurtsss • ADVIL. - You’ll have to switch to these after a few days, so make sure you have enough. (600mg 3x/day) • NETFLIX or HULU subscription. - So you don’t die of boredom. • MARIJUANA*. (Ooo, controversial.) - It helped me pass time, - Lighten my spirits, - Ignore the pain, and - Helped me sleep! —Tips & Side Effects To Expect — - Your bloating will go down as soon as you stop Percocet and antibiotics. - Being emotional is normal, don’t feel bad if people get frustrated with that. It’ll be over in a week. - Your implants will look crazy huge, swelling will reduce in due time, trust me. - Don’t be impatient. Doing so is only detrimental to yourself. Be smart and play it safe. - GET UP and walk every day. BUT, don’t overexert yourself. It will help your mind and body feel better. - When you get cleared for it, search up “chest stretches” and start doing so LIGHTLY. - Don’t close doors because turning the knobs is really hard. - You won’t get CC less than a week post op. - Boob cramps feel weird, try rotating your arms and shoulders. - KEEP YOUR SHOULDERS BACK. It hurts but that’s the only way your skin will stretch to make more room for your implants. And you’ll have to do it eventually. - Follow your PS’s post op protocol. S/He knows what’s best for you, but if you have a question. ASK!! - Do not be lazy with your required breast massages, your PS is making you do it because they’ve tested it and seen results. - I didn’t have sex with my husband for a full week following my BA. Not only was I not feeling well, it’s also not recommended. When you do get back in to it, be on your back hehe. ** If any of my tips contradict any of your PS’s post op protocol, obviously, don’t do it and ask first! Do NOT put your results at risk. These tips helped me and are working for me. I emailed my PS office over a dozen times to ensure everything I’m doing is okay if they didn’t already clear it. Updated on 20 May 2018: I am in love with my boobs and my confidence has risen 10 fold! I do my massages daily still and my husband and I noticed that my boobs are getting SO soft! But just 2 days ago I started feeling a weird rubbing sensation in my right breast and just barely in my left. It doesn’t hurt and I don’t feel it unless I lift my boobs. It’s kind of scary because I am really afraid of getting capsular contracture but my PS office told me not to worry. I really hope it’s nothing ???? Updated on 20 May 2018: I lost a bit of weight and I measured myself last night! I’m a 32 D! Of course i don’t plan on buying any bras until 3 to 6 months post op but this isn’t looking too bad ????
Excellent service, from consultation through to after-care. I had lipo in several areas and am delighted with the results, even better than I'd hoped for. The office staff - Kat & Geri - are lovely and don't mind responding to questions or concerns. I have felt very well cared for from the outset, and couldn't be happier.
I have had a few cosmetic surgeries over the years and nothing has come close to the experience or results as I had with my recent liposuction with Dr Vistnes. From the first consultation I knew I was in good hands. His team was so warm and welcoming, I was a bit nervous and Kat made me feel so comfortable and in a safe environment. I wanted to get a lot more than I needed and Dr Vistnes could have easily taken my money and done the procedure but he cared about me and my health and talked me out of the additional procedures. The surgery could have not gone more smooth, again the nurses were amazing and the whole team was so great. I was expecting to have bad bruising (similar to past procedures) but there was hardly any bruising and I was able to go back to work in 4 days. I wish I needed more work just to go back because I was so impressed with the whole experience.
I met with Dr. Vistnes after having a disastrous Smart Lipo procedure that was performed by a surgeon in San Mateo. The skin on my stomach was left loose, wrinkled, and discolored from what appeared to be burn marks. I was embarrassed to change at the gym or have anyone see my stomach, so I lived hiding it for years. I finally decided to meet with three surgeons so I could have a few second opinions before deciding who would do my repair. A surgeon in Hollywood, who helped repair Tara Reid's stomach years ago, told me I was the worst he had ever seen! All three surgeons, including Dr. Vistnes, agreed that I needed a tummy tuck. But here's why I decided to work with Dr. Vistnes. Dr. Vistnes was extremely professional and never once spoke poorly of the surgeon who did my Smart Lipo procedure (the other two made comments about the botched job). He was very patient with all of my questions and thorough during my examination. He even drew pictures to help explain what happened under my skin and what he could do to help. When we discussed how it would be repaired, he agreed that I needed a tummy tuck. But with Dr. Vistnes, it was evident that he truly had my best interest in mind. He assured me that it was a simple procedure and I only needed to have the loose skin pulled down. Since I didn't need the muscle repair that is typically included with a tummy tuck, he quoted me $10k less than the other surgeons! Although I was already knew that I would have him perform the repair, I asked Dr. Vistnes if I could see some before/after pictures so that I could be even more confident with the decision. All of the tummy tuck scars photos he showed me were very low on the stomach so that they could be hidden easily, and the scars looked clean (I saw many photos from other surgeons where the scars looked jagged and uneven). I was so pleased with his work so I decided to add a breast lift at the same time of the tummy tuck! I couldn't be happier with the final outcome. My tummy tuck scar sits so low that I can wear a low rise bikini bottom and no one knows its there. And the breast lift came out perfect. As for the rest of the team, it's such a pleasure to go to that office. Kat and Geri are very well informed on the procedures so they make the experience even more comfortable. They try to accommodate my crazy schedule in every way they can, and they're always warm and welcoming when I come to the office. The best advice I can give is to meet with a few surgeons prior to meeting with Dr. Vistnes. You'll see why he's different and I promise that you will walk away thrilled with his work.
I was planning to do the procedure with another doctor, but after reading reviews on Dr. Vistnes I signed up for a free consultation with him. I was blown away with his knowledge and experience and decided to proceed with him - and now I couldn't be happier with the results! It is my forth month since the surgery and I absolutely love what I see in the mirror. Dr Vistnes was so helpful in selecting the right size and providing all the necessary instructions before and after the surgery. The ladies working in the office are also amazing - always helpful and friendly.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Dr.Vistnes. He was sensitive to my needs, super nice, and I loved how scientific he was about the size, shape, and placement of the breasts. All of my close friends and family can't believe how real my breasts actually look and feel. I'm VERY happy.
I absolutely loved this place and the staff, everyone was always welcoming and were quick to answer any questions I had. I also appreciated the visits I had for check up to make sure everything was well. Definitely would recommend!
I am very happy with the results of my procedure(s). Both Dean and his staff kept me informed the entire way through the process. Seems like people think I am younger when ever I visit this office. Dean is a 10 out of 10!
A straight forward breast augmentation should be able to give you a result you are happy with. Best advice - look around for a board certified plastic surgeon in your area with an expertise in breast and body contouring surgery. Go in for consultations. Look at before and after photos of previous patients. Select a plastic surgeon you are comfortable with who will take great care of you and has the talent to deliver the results you are looking for. The lumpiness, swelling, itching and hardness after a surgery like you had typically persists at least 8 weeks after the surgery then slowly goes away. In my experience, daily massage of the hard areas makes the biggest difference in getting rid of it sooner rather than later. It can easily take 6 months or more to see results. Your scars will usually flatten and fade between 9-12 months but can sometimes take closer to 18 months. Scar fading depends on your genetics. Be sure to keep any scheduled follow up appointments you have with your surgeons for his evaluation and advice. Hope this helps.
