Dr. Elbert is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, & the Santa Clara County Medical Society. He has been an Advanced Allergan Trainer & Instructor for over 15 years, training over 500 doctors & providers all throughout the state of CA.
Dr. Elbert's biggest passion in the field of facial plastic surgery is the cycle of learning & teaching, as he strongly believes the best teachers are the best learners. Throughout 17 years, Dr. Elbert has consistently mentored high school & college students with a passion for surgery & held externships for medical assistants. For this reason, Dr. Elbert continues to partake in medical research to always have the most up-to-date knowledge of the field to better educate his audience. Most importantly, he feels he learns the most from his daily interactions with his patients, & becomes a better doctor because of it.

Dr. Elbert Cheng is a double-board certified facial plastic surgeon. He was raised in Mountain View and attended Stanford for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors. Still wanting to pursue his love for science, he traveled to England and undertook research and additional studies at Oxford University.
Once back in the US, he completed his Medical Degree at Duke University and returned to his roots, Stanford, for his residency in Head and Neck Surgery. After five years of intense training, he traveled to Indianapolis for one additional year of focused study with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This sparked a passion in aesthetic surgery, where he was able to combine his love for teaching, medicine and helping patients achieve their idea of beauty.
Once back in the US, he completed his Medical Degree at Duke University and returned to his roots, Stanford, for his residency in Head and Neck Surgery.
