I had breast augmentation a little over 6months ago, 350cc moderate plus under the muscle. I have mentioned to my surgeon that I am not happy because my right side incision is still quite uncomfortable and feels like it has knots in it. The right side is still very tight and more firm than the left, it also feels as though my nipple is being pulled down and out to the side. My surgeon says it’s likely due to a tight pec muscle, so my question is this…is that possible and if so what can I do?
Answer: Unhappy with breast augmentation Your pre op photos show some natural asymmetries that are still present post op. This is expected as placing implants typically will not correct these. It appears that you have had a very good aesthetic outcome, but any concerns should be discussed further with your surgeon. There may be subtle changes that could be achieved through a revision, but i suspect that any anticipated benefits would not justify additional surgery at this time.

Answer: Breasts Your right nipple-areola complex was already lower than the contralateral side. This was exacerbated after placing the implants. A tight pectoralis muscle is not the reason for any of this. It might be due to too large of an implant and stretching of the nerves that are on that side. When placing an oversized implant, you can also sometimes damage the skin causing worsening scarring. Regardless, these are all my own opinions based on the photos provided. I would recommend seeing a plastic surgeon who has great training and experience in aesthetic breast surgery.

Answer: Possible Revision Only an in person exam will be able to tell for sure, however it appears that your left sided implant has bottomed out a bit. This could be fixed by inframammary fold fixation, which should be able to be done from the inside out from the previous incision. You could also perform a right sided scar revision as well if this scar is bothering you.

Answer: Very nice result It's possible things are still tight in there. I would recommend to my patients continued massage of both the breast and the incision and see how things progress over the next 3 months. If not better, visit your doctor again.

Answer: BA results Dear Modest736320, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
