What is the recovery process like for a breast capsulorrhaphy?

I had a breast augmentation about a year ago and since then my implants have bottomed out (I think due to lax skin from previous weight loss). I am getting a revision capsulorrhaphy next week want to find out how the recovery process will be in terms of pain and how long after I can resume normal activity as well as sex. Also, will the skin at the crease of my breasts follow the new contour made internally? What things should I be aware of?

Hello, thank you for your inquiry, this procedure is usually a bit minor and recovery is approx 1-2 weeks depending on your healing, however normal activities like gym and sex I recommend you wait until at least 3-6 weeks, however it is best to consult with your surgeon knowing your case. I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.

The downtime of a capsulorrhaphy is very short.  This procedure does not usually result in a lot of pain.  I feel you should be up and around in one or two days.  But you will be out of the gym for 10 + days.

I'm sure your surgeon has discussed the surgical plan, the expectations, and follow up care and post operative restrictions with you, so please check your paper work. You will be restricted up to six weeks. This is usually less painful than the initial surgery.
