Tuberous Breasts implants with no lift?

I went to my plastic surgeon this week to discuss breast augmentation for my Tuberous breasts. He recommended a lift with implants. However, I cant afford the lift and only can afford the implants. He told me he would do the surgery with no lift but I am worried what it will look like. Does anyone have experience/photos of tuberous breast augmentation with no lift?

Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another.  See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for a Breast Augmentation.  Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.

It would be helpful if you provided photos. It depends on the severity of your tuberous breast. Some patients just need an incision around the areola to help shape the breast.

Thanks for your question. You could finance the difference with Alphaeon or do the lift later. You will get your volume now, but not an ideal result without the lift. Performing the lift at a second procedure is reasonable in most cases.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)

It is difficult to answer your question without photos or an exam.  Tuberous breast deformity is typically corrected with implants and a lift.  If implants alone are placed, the result would likely be an unnatural-appearing breast. If you want the best result possible, and you trust your surgeon, I would follow his/her recommendation. Tuberous breasts, otherwise known as constricted breasts, often can be treated with implants alone.  This is coupled with making adjustments to the lower half of the breasts and sometimes the crease just below the breast.  If there is a significant tuberous quality withiout significant drooping a minimal lift with in incision around the areola is all that's necessary.  If there is a large 'droop component' to your breasts then I wouldn't take any shortcuts - a lift would be necessary.  Tuberous breasts is a very difficult problem so please make sure you see a board-certified plastic surgeon, and often a second opinion is worthwhile.

It is very difficult to answer this question without your photos.  We all have tuberous breast patients with photos but the spectrum of what is required to treat them is quite varied.  Some patients will be staged with augmentation first with scoring under the breast tissue to release the constriction.  Some can have the areola reduced, if needed, at the same time.  Others may require more substantial lifting at a later time.  It depends on the specific problem of each individual

A tuberous breast has two components, a tight skin envelope and breast fold, and a constriction around the nipple which give a puffy appearance sometimes called "herniation". The correction involves an implant with a scoring of the lower breast to help expand the skin envelope, and a release of the skin around the nipple to correct the puffy appearance, which is in a strict sense not a breast lift. Some surgeons might consider this a single procedure, repair of a tuberous breast shape. If what we describe sounds like your breast you might consider additional opinions.

Depending on the severity of your tuberous breasts, you may need the shape and weight of the implant to round out the bottom of the natural breast. I would recommend that you wait until you have the funds necessary to do the procedure as needed. Best of luck.
