Curious about micro/minimal upper blepharoplasty, can skin be removed to show more of the eyelid? (Photos)

Hello and thank you for your question. There are several options.  A conservative upper eyelid blepharoplasty could be helpful for you.  Alternatively, botox injected into the orbicularis (not the forehead) may also help.   The most important aspect is to find a
surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a
qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

A conservative upper blepharoplasty would work well to increase the upper eyelid visibility. Alternatives are non-invasive skin tightening, which can also be helpful. In my office we use Exilis Elite, a radiofrequency devixe, to achieve this result. 

You may benefit from an upper blepharoplasty, but a personal evaluation would be necessary to determine that. This surgery can easily be performed in the office using local anesthetic and the sutures are removed in 3-5 days so downtime is minimal. A blepharoplasty is done to remove or reposition the tissue around the eyes to improve the way they look. This can involve removing excess eyelid skin, removing or repositioning the underlying orbital fat, and possibly tightening or repositioning the lid margin. 

Your pictures demonstrate a small excess skin of the upper lid. A conservative upper lid lift can help to open the eyes and eliminate some of the heaviness. This can be done in the office under local for a reasonable cost and with a quick recovery.

The primary goal of upper blepharoplasty is to show more upper eyelid platform and raise the crease. This is accomplished with a conservative  removal of excess skin and a small amount of fat when necessary. Yes it can be done -- it is not a big deal. This surgery is usually done by me in my certified office OR under some mild sedation --- it could be done under straight local also.
