What happened to my eyes? Can one eye be corrected?

You have eyelid ptosis, likely from levator dehiscence. This can be repaired via a levator advancement or plication. Anchoring is part of the procedure. If your optometrist can document visual field obstruction insurance will cover the procedure. 

That is upper eyelid ptosis, lash ptosis, hollow upper eyelid, high or indistinct crease, and compensatory brow elevation.  You raise your eye brows to compensate for the heavy upper eyelids.  This can be fixed.  It requires the upper eyelid crease to be lowered.  The upper eyelid lashes need to be correct with an anchor blepharoplasty, and the tendon in the upper eyelid which is detached needs to be repaired.  When this is done, the eyebrows will relax down.  My out of town patients typically stay in the area for about 8 days.
