Amazing surgeon and staff. I spent so much time searching for the right doctor to help me with my issue. Had to replace old saline breast implants that also had capsular contracture as well, so it wasn’t going to be a typical breast augmentation. And it wasn’t easy finding the right surgeon. I’m super happy with the size that he picked out for me as I was undecided. Replaced with gummy implants. The recovery was tolerable and expected for post surgery. Take it from a person who has a previous bad experience with my first breast augmentation and know that the cost for a great surgeon completely outweighs what you think you are “saving “ going with someone else. I felt so insecure with my old implants for so long. My only regret is not reaching out to Dr. Kim sooner.
I am so excited for my breast augmentation with Dr. Eugene Kim on Monday. Of course I'm a tiny bit nervous simply because I've never had any type of surgery before. But, overall, excitement takes the cake. From my initial zoom consultation, I felt a calmness from Dr. Kim and zero pressure to schedule. His bedside manner is very pleasant, extremely knowledgeable, and reassuring. I was able to ask all questions I had. I then booked my surgery date and scheduled a pre-op appointment, which was about 2 weeks ago. I got measured, talked with the doctor about both types of implants as well as sizes. I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Kim, he seemed to understand my goals and concerns and gave his recommendation on sizing based on my wish photos and describing how I want to look. I then picked up my med prescriptions right downstairs and had a clear list of things to do before surgery (bras to buy, antibacterial soap, pillow wedge to sleep elevated on my back). I'm eager to update this after surgery. Can't want to see how I look and feel! Updated on 7 Nov 2023: Dr. Kim and his team have been amazing. My surgery went smoothly. The worst part was coming out of the anesthesia (never had surgery before) so I didn’t love the very slow return of my verbal and motor skills. But I suppose that’s normal. The amazing nurses (idk their official title im so sorry), Lucy and Theresa, were so kind and helpful and reassuring, especially as I continued to come out of the anesthesia. I only felt a tiny bit nauseous on the dive home (30 mins) and completely fine once settled on the couch with my pillow wedges. As for pain, I have yet to take one of the pain pills, only the muscle relaxers so far. I don’t feel pain exactly, it’s more of a soreness from armpit to armpit. Lifting my arm at all or moving/reaching is what triggers the sore sensation. I’m shocked I don’t feel pain but grateful. Sleeping upright is the hardest part. I napped fine while coming down from anesthesia but am currently struggling to get comfortable on night 1. Slept for a few hour and now up writing this. I’ll get used to it I suppose. Looking forward to seeing my new boobs. Kind of peeked at them through my shirt and the sports bra but eager to see the full glory! Lol Updated on 10 Nov 2023: Feeling really great! I’ve been taking a pain pill just at night to help sleep, and I sleep so deeply that I don’t move from my back which is good! Still a bit of tightness and a bit of soreness around incisions. Been going for short walks each day. I love the way they look! They look enormous to me now, but I know they’ll settle and drop and become softer. I’m so glad I trusted Dr. Kim with sizing. My right breast is 325cc and my left breast we went with 350cc to even them out. Updated on 19 Nov 2023: Got stitches out earlier this week and started the massages Dr. Kim recommends. Feeling really great! A bit of soreness sometimes moving certain ways, but no pain. Loving them! Updated on 25 Nov 2023: Tried on an old bathing suit the other day for fun, and WOW!!! It feels so good to finally fill the cups on a top. I feel so sexy and womanly. I am so happy with the size.
Buckle up, this is gonna be a long one! I finally did it after years of being too scared to finally pull the trigger and I am loving my results so far!! 22 y/o 112lb 5'3 petite build, I was a 32D (in Victoria's Secret sizing) before surgery but realistically I was probably a B cup. Size 4 in lululemon bras if that helps. I had nice cleavage but just wanted a bit more projection, my ribs stuck out just as much as my boobs did. I went to one consultation before Dr Kim so I already had a good idea of what I wanted The consultation was quick and he was very professional and patient. Decided to pull the trigger and book my surgery date for later that same month! Pre op appointment was fairly easy, it was right downstairs from Dr Kim's office. I'm a big scaredy-cat of needles and drs so I cried during my blood draw but it was worth it. I definitely had cold feet the night before & morning of surgery but I knew there was no backing out since it was fully paid for. The ladies at the front desk are so warm and welcoming it definitely made me feel better and the IV insertion wasn't as bad as I expected, it was easier than the blood draw. Prior to this, I never had an IV or surgery, only had my blood drawn a couple times in my life and was deathly afraid of needles/drs/everything. Once my IV was in, dr Kim gave me a quick rundown of the surgery again and I can't remember if he drew on me or not. Made it to the OR and then the anesthesia hit quickly and I was out. I woke up in their recovery room where they monitored me for about an hour after surgery, the anesthesia made me nauseous but I think they gave me something for it, I was loopy so I don't remember exactly. My scheduled surgery time was 6am, I had to take an anti nausea pill at 4am and I was leaving to go back home from surgery around 9am. I relaxed and tried to sleep for the morning-afternoon but my throat was very sore. You have to eat a meal with each pill they give, I started antibiotics that evening and took the pain meds just in case (I wasn't in any pain yet but was trying to make sure I wasn't going to be). The first night was really rough. The anesthesia made me so nauseous, I couldn't eat anything without dry heaving and throwing up water since I was drinking so much. I also couldn't pee, I drank probably 7 or 8 water bottles and was so bloated and couldn't pee until about midnight when I had to run to the bathroom to make it. The next morning I was feeling a million times better, no pain just slight discomfort and I was able to eat normally. Throat was feeling better. I was able to go on a short walk, run a couple errands (I didn't drive), and was pretty much back to normal besides feeling like I had a couple oranges stuck in my bra and a little discomfort. It's such a weird feeling at first, they don't feel like part of your body yet. I wasn't on any pain meds besides the day of surgery and felt perfectly fine, just was taking antibiotics 4 x a day. Sleeping propped up was hard, I bought a wedge pillow on Amazon to help. Dr Kim called me the day after surgery to just check up on me. I was super bloated from the anesthesia and pooped first time 3 days after surgery. I had a follow up appointment with him 1 week later just to go over any questions and show me the massages. At this point I was so freaked out, they were high and hard and I thought I went too big. I looked in the mirror and almost cried because I thought they were way too big. I'm now almost 4 weeks post op and they feel normal (not oranges in my bra anymore) and I am really happy with the size dr Kim and I decided on, maybe could've gone even bigger. Im not sure if it was just my body or if it was dr Kim's technique but I was so shocked I didn't need any pain meds! I read so many reviews and was dreading the pain of day 3 recovery but it never came. I'm incredibly happy with my results so far and couldn't recommend dr Kim more for a breast augmentation!
IN THE BEGINNING: I have been researching plastic surgeons for years. I found Dr. Eugene Kim and was hooked. I saved up enough money to finally be able to afford him, plus the extras since I am a few hours away and needed an Airbnb. I knew I wanted him to do my breasts. And I have waited so long to get them. Day of surgery: 10/13/23 Super easy and relaxing. The staff is great and Dr Kim is a very kind and easy to talk to surgeon. I got dressed in my gown and compression socks. IV inserted. Then the anesthesiologist came and introduced himself and asked me a few questions. Soon I was walked to the OR and before I knew it I was out and waking up from such a great nap. Everything was finished. I wasn’t in pain, just thirsty with the worst taste in my mouth. My husband came and I was wheeled out to him. Went home and relaxed most of the day while periodically walking around the house. Throat hurt and was very scratchy sounding. Slept okay while sitting up, but did wake up often. Day 2: 10/14/23 Woke up in pain so I took my pain meds and of course my antibiotics. After that I felt great. Went to Target to get a bigger size bra since mine was too small. It’s still uncomfortable but better. After that walking around I was definitely in the worst pain. 8/10. I ended up taking 1 norco and when that didn’t help, I took another two hours later. Felt MUCH better then. I have needed help getting out of bed for the most part since I am not trying to put weight on my arms. That sucks! You never realize how much you use your arms until you can’t. Dr Eugene called me to check on me. My breasts look absolutely ridiculous right now, but that was expected and I know they take time to drop and fluff. Pain level this evening is a 4/10. Updated on 17 Oct 2023: 4 days post op. Started massaging yesterday. Still so high and hard, of course. Also, I’m so bloated!! Can’t wait for that to be gone. I literally cannot button any of my jeans. Thank goodness for leggings! Resting still while I can. Updated on 4 Nov 2023: At a week post op, my breasts are still very hard, high and boxy. Left is very high and quite oddly shaped at the top. Off pain meds but still having zingers, especially at night. Sutures were removed this week. Updated on 4 Nov 2023: I feel like 3 weeks is a huge milestone for me. My surgeon had lifted most of my restrictions! And I get to start scar gel! My breasts are getting much softer and the right one looks great. My left is stubborn and is still really high and still a bit misshapen. I have worried that it won’t correct itself, but I know I’m not the only one who has breasts drop at different rates. Dr. Kim told me I can start to wear a regular underwire bra finally!! The sports bras are not flattering in shirts. My nipples are so so sensitive and the bottom of my breast is a little numb still. My incision scars are tender. And the left corner of my left breast is also tender and sometimes hurts. I’m hoping this clears up and that breast moves down. It was always my smaller breast, so it was a tighter fit. Updated on 6 Dec 2023: I feel like everything is about perfect. They are getting so much softer. One is taking a bit longer to drop than the other. For the most part, they look fantastic, just a tidbit lopsided. I naturally had one breast higher than the other preop, so that can be contributing to it also. There is no pain whatsoever. The scars are still very visible, but I’m using the scar gel two times a day and hoping they get better with time. I am very happy so far, but I do hope they even out a bit more
A year ago my husband and I went in for a consultation with Dr. Kim. Honestly I was really torn about a decision to have a breast augmentation. I am a mother of 3 who breast fed all my children, each over a year. However my body frame is on the petite side and it was important to me to keep a modest appearance. I didn’t want to have a breast augmentation and people/ family know. My initial consultation with Dr. Kim was so reassuring. I always felt there was so much to consider when it comes to a breast augmentation, and Dr. Kim took the time to thoroughly go over everything as well as be completely honest regarding all options. I genuinely felt like Dr. Kim acted as a doctor/ surgeon before anything else. I never felt pressured or like I was being persuaded or sold on anything. Fast forward a year and I had my pre op appointment. Given the time that had passed I had changed my mind on size and incision placement, as well as not choosing to have a nipple reduction. All in which Dr. Kim was completely fine with as well as didn’t try to persuade me other wise. I am now one month post op with 330 cc high profile gummy implants and am so happy with my results. If you are considering Dr. Kim as your surgeon you won’t be disappointed! I am so grateful to Dr. Kim as well as his staff, and couldn’t imagine my experience going any better. Updated on 15 Jun 2023: As of yet everything is healing nicely. I’m am now using the doctors recommend scar cream to help Lighten my incisions. Over all I am happy with my healing process and can’t wait my 3 month post op results.
I had two breast augmentation done with him and I love how they came out both times, especially my recent one they look the exact size I wanted and symmetrical and just what I wanted. Dr. Eugene is such a humble sweet doctor who takes your opinions into consideration and is so professional. He’s so sweet and treated me with respect and didn’t try to speed through our consultation like other providers I’ve consulted with in the past. I 10/10 recommend him. Even my sister went for an augmentation with him and loves how she came out..
I am 3 months post-op for breast augmentation with Dr. Kim and I could not be happier. I was very confused with respect to the size that I wanted, but thanks to Dr. Kim's long years in practice, I did not have to get a headache in deciding. Dr. Kim will already knows what to do before you even know it, so that you look perfectly proportional to the rest of your body. Dr. Kim assisted me through all the post-op being the most available doctor ever even for the most stupid questions in no time. I highly recommend him because based on my experience and results he knows what he is doing, and my results are beyond expectations.
I got a tummy-tuck and lipo on my flanks with Dr. Eugene Kim. I have a slender body type and after 3 c-sections, I had a diastasis. I lead a healthy life style, I stay active, work out and eat premium food. I did pilates and yoga to focus on flatting my tummy and to build muscles. I weighed 118 lbs at one time and people still asked if I was pregnant. I became discouraged that all my hard work did not meet my goals. I wouldn’t wear bikinis because I have an “outie” belly-button and still have a belly bulge. I gave up. My self-esteem was disintegrating. I searched for a solution, and Dr. Kim was it. In my case, diastasis recti cannot be fixed without surgery. Dr. Kim’s work was well executed! He was very clear with what I should expected. I felt I could trust him. He was very understanding and receptive to me. I’m profoundly deaf and rely on lip-reading and he was very good at ensuring I understood him at all times. I really appreciated his patience with me. I like the building and the lobby (there’s always candies/munchies bags for you to enjoy!) I like the surgery room and his team. I was relieved that the surgery room is at the same building, it’s very convenient. They were very nice to me and ensured that I was comfortable. I was nervous because I cannot hear anything but they were really great at making me feel calm. They actually made me laugh. Post-op- my 3 weeks in recovery was no joke! It was very difficult but expected. I was already prepared for this 3 weeks recovery because Dr. Kim explained thoroughly on what to expect. The pain-killers helped tremendously! He has great bedside manners and his team was very nice and friendly. I was elated that one of the nurses knew enough American Sign Language to communicate with me during my overnight stay. So grateful for this! First year of tummy-tuck- I continue to see him periodically until March of this year which is the one year anniversary with my beautiful tummy. Dr. Kim was always in touch with me and he truly cares. I love my new body! I now wear bikinis and cropped shirts. My scar is still visible but low enough for the underwear to cover it. I’m an aquaholic, i love anything involving water so I’m very happy about where my scar is located. It fades as time goes. I’m much more motivated at self-care, exercising, and exploring new activities. I feel free, beautiful and finally can live fully again. If you’re researching for a plastic surgeon then look no further, he’s the one! I look forward to returning for his other services!
Great experience with Dr. Eugene Kim with my liposuction procedure. I didn't like the loose skin on my first procedure so I went back and had a revisional procedure and I'm very happy with the results.
Hello all, I'm currently only on day 2 post-op (early morning.) I'd like to provide a review of my overall experience thus far. A quick run-down of my post-surgery stats: Height: 4'11" Weight: about 106lbs Cup-size: Modest A-cups, but not completely flat. I had my first pre-op months ago, around November 2021. During this consultation we discussed sizing, Dr. Kim measured me and explained what sizes he thought would work best for my frame and desired outcome. At first, I was hesitant to get High Profile implants, but after his recommendation and subsequently doing more research I decided they would probably be best for me. Fast forward months later (April 2022) and I scheduled my 2nd pre-op, as well as my surgery date. These were scheduled just a few days apart but it was no stress, of course I was nervous but Dr. Kim and his staff are nice and I felt better after speaking with them. We then finalized the size and other details. I went with 375cc HP Silicone, under muscle and inframammary incisions. Honestly, a part of me wanted to go larger but I didn't want to have boob greed and I trusted Dr. Kims reccomendation especially given my small frame. If I had to nit-pick any complaint, it's that he doesn't offer sizer try-ons, it seemed he felt them unnecessary but I still think they could have been helpful for a visually minded person like myself, or at the very least it would have been fun. ;p The day of surgery I went in fairly early around 9am. Shortly after I met with Nurse Paige and she gave me instructions to change, gave me a run-down of what would be happening, provided me with a locker and gave me my IV. Paige was pleasant to talk to and definitely helped me feel less nervous. There was then about an hours wait until I briefly met with Dr. Kim again and then the anesthesiologist. (Dr. Odell) I had read a few reviews where others said they didn't like Dr. Odell, I personally didn't have a negative experience, he seemed more reserved and straight to the point but he asked all necessary questions and was happy to take mine. :) Just don't expect him to baby talk you! Finally I was brought into the operating room where Dr. Odell began administering anesthesia and the very last thing I remember is feeling a bit warm and woozy, like after a fun night out if you catch my drift. lol Next thing I know I'm waking up to the doctor and some nurses around me and they continued to check my vitals. I was very sleepy but didn't feel nauseous at all, nothing at all like a previous surgery experience. As for my pain level, there was definitely a good amount of pressure and tightness, but I had no trouble breathing. I would say the overall pain was about 3 or 4 out of 10. I have decent pain tolerance but even still it was much more tolerable than I had expected. It wasn't long until I was stable enough and Paige helped me dress and rolled me down to the parking structure to be picked up. The car ride home was fine, and I was able to walk up a small flight of stairs to my apartment with relative ease and a hand to hold onto of course. Overall, so far so good and I'm super excited to see how they turn out! I will be seeing the Dr again in about a week to remove sutures and practice massages. I'll try to keep up with updates regularly. Thank you for reading!
Thanks for the photos. It looks like you're a great candidate for a breast augmentation. It's difficult to make recommendations on exact size without seeing you in person. I recommend consulting with a plastic surgeon to go over different options including implant profile and sized.
It's difficult to answer your question without examining the breasts. If the breasts don't have excess skin, a lot if times the double bubble can be corrected with internal sutures. I recommend seeing a plastic surgeon for consultation
Based on the photos, your result will be different from the results of your "wish" photos. There are a lot of factors that determine the results of you surgery including implant size and profile. Some other important factors are skin elasticity and the shape of your breasts before surgery. The women in the wish photos probably had mild droopiness or stretchy skin prior to surgery so they will have a natural drop to their breasts. Your breasts look perkier so I would expect them to sit up a little higher. However you can pick a profile that will allow them to look natural and have a tear drop shape.
My preference is to place implants behind the muscle in what is called a dual plane. It has less risks and provides a more natural appearance. However it looks like you have enough breast tissue where subglandular placement would be an option. I recommend seeing a plastic surgeon for consultation.
You should contact your doctor about your upcoming procedure. It is not recommended to do any elective cases at this time due to the COVID pandemic.
