I just had a small, minor chalazion removal procedure today. Is it ok for me to start exercising again the day after? I’m in track and need to get back to practice, which usually involves an hour of running everyday

Answer: Ask your doctor thank you for your question. In most cases, I do allow patients to return to physical activity the day after chalazion surgery, however your surgeon knows you best and it would be best to check with him or her. Best of luck!

Answer: Almost certainly... Hi. Greetings from the UK. Assuming that your surgeon performed a standard incision and curettage then yes most patients are usually OK to go back to normal exercise 24hours after. Obviously double check with your surgeon but normally there's no problems associated with this. Overall the tarsal plate is fairly avascular and so there isn't normally a major postop haemorrhage risk. Best WishesDavid
