Exceptional, Skilled, Humble

I sought out competent doctors after a Renuva gone wrong experience, in addition to a mediocre levator eyelid surgery from other doctors. I had successful and rewarding treatments with Renuva before, but I do not recommend Renuva in the delicate under eye area based on my experience. About two weeks after Renuva injection to my under eyelid area, I had developed fat bag herniation literally overnight, and after multiple evaluations, HA dissolver (even though it’s not HA), I was informed by facial plastic and Oculoplastic experts that surgery was the only solution. Dr. Perry stood out to me due to his humble nature and no-frills office, but even more so his expertise and genuinely caring nature. One review said something like, Dr Perry solved what theee other surgeons could not. Nobody is effect, but that was a sign to me that he really tries. When I was first searching and consulting with doctors, as I sadly expected, nobody had experience dealing with “Renuva fat” injected to the under eyes, and Dr Perry admitted that as well, but was willing to try, as well as correct a few other things I wasn’t satisfied with, like my droopy eyelid. I had a lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer to the lower eyelid/upper cheek and upper eyelid hollows. The “Renuva fat” was scarred, lumpy, and stuck in several planes of my eyelid/eyeball muscles, so was not usable. Additionally, I had levator revision on one eye plus co2 laser for crepey under eye skin. My theory is although Renuva takes a few months to build fat, the initial inflammatory process which heightens around week 2, possibly pushed on my tissues and caused the fat herniation overnight, in addition to fat integrating with muscle tissue over the coming months. Dr Perry even told me after surgery that he found fat “sort of behind the eyeball.” My injector told me they did not inject theee, but apparently the eye tissues are thin, and fillers etc can leak into different areas. Surgery recovery was painless. I was instructed no exercise for two weeks but I stayed active walking a lot on the treadmill at low speeds - not exactly recommended but not exactly off limits either. It was easy for me to monitor my heart rate and such so to me, this was the best. The corners of my eyes were seen shut and so I had no peripheral vision. This was the most uncomfortable part. But unlike my previous eye surgery, the stitches did not constantly poke my eyeballs which was a great relief. My previous levator surgery felt like my eyes were being stabbed constantly the first week. I did have one episode where a stitch got stuck, but luckily a few minutes later it moved to a better position. The CO2 laser resurfacing really did take a while for my skin to heal. There was a red phase, a scabby phase, even a pore-clogged phase, but my under eyes are now much smoother than before and makeup applies nicely. Would do again. To my pleasure, my eyes were perfectly even upon waking from surgery, and remained that way. I am really happy I am no longer buggy eyed in photos. The fat transfer: Dr Perry was upfront with me that he does not over fill, he even “under fills” to reduce the risk of lumpy outcomes. I am about 4 months out at the point and what you see the first 1.5 months or so is lots of swelling, so it’s really hard to even judge how much fat was put in there in the first place or what survived. He harvested 10cc then purified down to 8cc according to his notes, and based on our brief convo he most likely put 3 cc in each cheek plus 1cc in each upper eyelid. I can definitely see a difference, but it is subtle. It’s not like HA filler which absorbs water and you get even more volume than expected, but I am very pleased with the result, and I really didn’t notice any “fat resorption” past the 3 month mark, which was still possibly masked by edema, so I hope what I have at 4 months is relatively stable. Around the 2.5 month mark I started to feel light pulsations in my cheek. Maybe that was the fat establishing, or just a coincidence. I still feel the pulsing sometimes, but gentler. I really appreciate Dr. Perry’s work and will definitely consider him for any future eye or possibly even facelift needs!

I had a phenomenal experience

I had a phenomenal experience with Dr. Perry. I am very happy with the results of my surgery (6 months out). Dr. Perry was very personable, professional, warm, took the time to answer any and all questions, was very available in the follow-up period, and is highly skilled. His entire staff was also excellent. I have no complaints about the entire experience from consult to last follow up visit. I would see Dr. Perry again for any needs in the future.

So caring and attentive to detail

Gosh, I can’t say enough about Dr. Perry!! I have researched for about 8-10 years for a surgeon that I can trust with my eyes. I’ve always gotten compliments on my eyes, but I’ve always had these miserable hereditary bags that people would think were there because I didn’t sleep enough. Every morning it not only made me feel tired to look in the mirror but I would ALWAYS have concealer or ice cubes on my face to reduce them. God forbid my allergies acted up, had too much salt, or cried. There was hell to pay because my eyes would literally bulge from the puffiness. I can not believe how happy I am to have come across Dr. Perry!!! He has erased those YEARS of insecurity. I know we are all supposed to love ourselves and I absolutely do, but it’s frustrating to know that it would always be that way without intervention. I have tried ALL of the nonsurgical options, creams, radiation fat zapping treatments for under the eyes…EVERYTHING. I even tried fillers specifically for the cheek area to camouflage them and I ended up regretting that the most. Dr . Perry is so caring and attentive to detail. He is an EXPERT and a GENIUS. I say all of this to say that if you go to him, your experience will be better than you can ever have imagined. I can’t say this about everyone and I would never put myself out there for anyone that wasn’t worth it. I was willing to travel for this. I am so happy that I didn’t have to. He is in my neighborhood, but if he weren’t, I would have flown out to see him in a heartbeat anyway. Whoever is looking, I can truly say that you don’t have to look anywhere else. He is IT!!!

Did a great job fixing my upper eyelids

Dr Perry did a great job fixing my upper eyelids. i had my eyelids done with a well known plastic surgeon in Bellevue, and i would not go to them again for anything! My eyes was uneven and droopy. i decided to go Dr. Perry, he fixed it and i am happy with the result. My advice is to go to Oculoplastic for your eyes always! Thank you Dr. Perry!

Skilled surgeon - 2 weeks post op and stunned by my progress

Dr Perry is so thorough and instills trust and confidence from day 1. He discussed options for optimal results. He was in regular contact with both myself and my daughter throughout my first week. I had a couple postop days in the beginning when I struggled a bit emotionally. I appreciated his compassion and genuine demeanor. I’m only 2 weeks post op and am stunned by my progress. I feel 15 years younger!

Very Pleased with Aesthetic Surgery Centre in Tacoma WA

Before and after photos are attached showing the results of my surgical eyelid bump removal, the accompanying lid lift, and removal of eye bags. My surgeon, Dr. C. Blake Perry, my husband, and I are pleased with the final results. The lid lift on both eyes was necessary because, after the eyelid bump was removed, my eyelids would not have matched and I would have had facial unbalance. In 2004 I endured an attack of Bell's Palsy on the right side of my face. For months my face was very unbalanced and it scared the bejesus out of everyone who saw me. So I don't ever want to live with facial unbalance again. The removal of the bags under my eyes was my husband's idea and he paid for it since our insurance did not. The surgical process never hurt once, not even a tiny bit, but it was uncomfortable with the need to sleep sitting up, maddening non-stop itching, and a complex home care process with lots of sanitary and skin products. One of the best products Dr. Perry gave me is the first sunscreen I have ever used which doesn’t make my sensitive skin itch all day. I wish it was cheaper. It goes on smooth and moisturizing without feeling like I put a coating of drywall on my skin.

An Amazing Experience Restored my Vision and Beauty!

Due to my Graves Disease and age, my upper eyelids stretched and sagged over them. I had gotten to the point my vision was so restricted I either had to stop driving or get them lifted; my peripheral vision was all but gone. I was getting bad headaches and looked and felt tired. It was a daily struggle to hold my eyes open. I was referred to Dr Perry by my eye doctor. I went for my consultation and was treated with such kindness starting from the time I arrived with the medical staff and Dr Perry. It was deemed I needed Blepharoplasty. I returned for the surgery that was pain free. From the time I opened my eyes I knew my sight was restored, no more being told “you always look tired”; do you get enough sleep? I’m two weeks post op and the swelling has gone down considerably, no more headaches and even though I came in due to sight restrictions and headaches; it is a real bonus having more of a youthful appearance again. Two weeks ago I didn’t want to look in a mirror. Now I can’t stay away from it! Dr Perry gave me my life back! I highly recommend him!
