I have recently lost around 50lbs however now I am dealing with sagging skin under my chin. I've always looked younger than my age however now being a month shy of being 40, I feel I look much older with this dreaded Turkey Neck and it is ruining my self confidence. It makes me regret losing the weight when I should be happy. Looking to see what my options are to correct this. I've heard some procedures can be done with a local anesthetic but being awake literally terrifies me.

Answer: Platysmal Bands I think you'd be a great candidate to consider laser tightening of the skin along with MyEllevate - a minimally invasive permanent suture device to tighten this region. Check that out online and consult with a local provider.

Answer: Neck Lift Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for submitting your photos and questions! These photos show not only skin redundancy, but platysmal banding as well. The platysma is a thin muscle in the neck that commonly becomes more visible with aging or weight loss. This can only be corrected with a surgical neck lift that involves making an incision under the chin. (There is no minimally invasive option to treat platysma bands). Based on what can be seen in these photos, combining the platysmaplasty/neck lift with a lower facelift to remove extra skin would lead to the best outcome. Best,Dr. Tower
