Can I get my nipples pierced even though I had to have free nipple grafting? (Photo)

Question

I am just one month post operation however I want to get my nipples pierced in another 3months for my birthday! However I wanted to know if it was ok because I did have to get free nipple grafting!!! My nipples never had any feeling anyway! But they are flat now! So is it possible?

Thank you for your questions and I hope your recovery is going well.  Yes, piercing your nipples 3 months after nipple grafting is not a problem.  All tissues should be well healed by then.

You should be able to get your nipple pierce. By 4 months your free nipple grafts should be able to tolerate that. I would check with your surgeon since he see your healing process.

Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your breast reduction surgery.  Once your tissues have fully healed you are okay to pursue a nipple piercing.  At times due to the nature of nipple grafting you will not have much nipple projection which can make piercing difficult.  Hope this helps.

Once your breasts have completely healed, there should not be an issue with nipple piercing. If you have lost projection of your nipple and there isn't anything to pierce, that may be another issue.
