What procedure will give me my desired breast result?

Question

I am 22 years old with no children. Due to weight loss, I'm left with droopy breasts. My big areolas look a lot worse on my current breast shape. What procedure(s) would I have to have to achieve breasts similar to the woman in the attached photo? She underwent a breast augmentation without a lift. Could I achieve a similar result without a lift?....or maybe Augmentation with nipple lift/reduction? I'd just hate to have those scars around my areolas. Please help!!!

Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. Congratulations on your weight loss. The person in your wish photo has areolas which are smaller and positioned higher on the breast mound. Unfortunately, breast augmentation alone will not lift and resize your areolas to look similar to hers. There are scar treatments which work very well to minimize the appearance of mastopexy scars. I recommend that you meet with a board certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in these procedures and find out about your options in person.All the best

Based on your photos it looks like you would be best served with a combination of breast lift with augmentation.  The parameters of both the breast lift and the position of the breast implants should be designed to keep the implants relatively low while lifting the breast tissue and nipple to sit directly over the implants. Many techniques exist in breast surgery, and combined lifting with augmentation is especially tricky.  The key is working with an expert, board certified plastic surgeon to get the best plan for the individual.

From your photos - it appears that you would benefit from a lift with smaller implants. In my opinion- only a lift (with or without implants)will make your breasts perky and help you achieve the result you're seeking. Be sure to seek an experienced Board Certified PS for in person exam

Thank you for your question and photos. It looks like a lift will be required in addition to placement of breast implants. I do not think you will achieve a satisfactory result with either augmentation or a lift alone. It is best to have an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic breast surgery. Ask to see a lot of before and after photos of their work. If you want to have breasts that look more like the picture you showed, you will need to have a breast lift.  This does include scars around the areolas, because that is the only way to reposition them.  If you have augmentation only, your breasts will still be droopy, but fuller. The nipples will still be near the bottom of your breasts, and the areolas will remain big.  Doing a lift typically means repositioning the breast tissue to a more flattering shape, as well as repositioning the areolas to a more attractive location on the breasts.  Unfortunately, it is often a trade of scar for skin removal.  Sagginess means you usually have more skin than volume, or the weight of what you have pulls it down (gravity always wins). Seek a plastic surgeon certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery to best answer your questions and perform your procedure.

You would need a breast lift with a small implant. There are three types of breast lifts. A donut lift, which goes just around the nipple areolar complex. The other two lifts are called the lollipop lift and an anchor lift. The former goes around your areola and down your breast. The anchor lift is a lollipop lift with the addition of an incision in your breast fold. For the breast enlargement, I utilize the bloodless breast technique which I invented. Bleeding is minimal, typically there is no bruising after surgery and recovery is quicker versus traditional techniques. For more information please watch the enclosed video. Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get a breast lift with implants, this is because your chest looks a bit saggy and the implants will definitely help you fill the superior pole of your breast giving you an excellent and beautiful shape.

Congratulations on your weight loss. Based on your history and photographs, you seem to be a good candidate for breast augmentation/lifting surgery.  You will be best off undergoing elective breast surgery once you have reached your long-term stable weight,  if you are not there already.My best advice: select your plastic surgeon carefully. Make sure that he/she has significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Then, communicate your goals carefully. A lift will be required to reposition the nipple complexes and to decrease their diameter. The desired result as you have provided with the photograph would require a breast implant.

I agree with other doctors. You are great candidate for breast lift procedure. 
Breast augmentation or nipple lift alone will not give you result similar to the woman in the last photo. 
You have very fair skin and you should heal very well with time. I would not comprise the best result in fear of getting a scar.
