The mommy makeover is having its moment in the spotlight. The combination of procedures this operation entails can differ, but at my Fort Worth practice, a mommy makeover consists of body and breast enhancement procedures that either restore or improve the post-pregnancy body. For example, a new mom might experience volume loss, sagging, or asymmetrical breasts. They may opt for a breast lift, a breast augmentation, a breast reduction, or a combination of these procedures.
During pregnancy, a woman’s stomach can change dramatically—the abdominal muscles may separate, skin stretches and sags, and the entire midsection tends to droop. The only operation that can fully address these issues is tummy tuck surgery. I make a hip-to-hip incision below the bikini line, tighten the underlying muscles, and remove any excess skin to flatten the area. Some patients also include liposuction in their mommy makeover procedure, to maximize results and reach their ultimate post-baby-body goals.

Losing a significant amount of weight is an admirable feat; however, it can result in a lot of excess skin that simply cannot be exercised away. This can also be an issue stemming from pregnancy weight gain or simply the effects of aging. My Fort Worth patients who are concerned with excess skin can opt for a tummy tuck, which can dramatically change the silhouette of the body, giving the patient a trim and toned look. This type of surgery is also the only one that can repair damaged abdominal muscles—liposuction cannot fix this. That said, liposuction is a great body sculpting procedure, not only for the abdomen, but for areas that tend to resist weight loss measures, such as the arms, chin, thighs, hips, and buttocks. I can also add other cosmetic procedures with liposuction, such as BodyTite, which uses radiofrequency energy to help tighten the skin. Many patients choose to combine lipo and a tummy tuck to maximize results.

I had Sofwav treatment with RN Stephanie and have been amazed at how a non-invasive treatment could yield noticeable results in such a small amount of time. I have attached a side by side picture to this review. Both pictures were taken same day of my treatment. First of all this office is absolutely a pleasure to be in. I genuinely feel like I’m cared about. I pointed out problem areas of concern on my face to Stephanie and she took note of those places and made sure to address them during the session. I have especially been concerned about the right side of my face drooping more and having more lines than my left side. She paid close attention to ALL of my face! And she especially listened to me regarding the right side of my face under my eyes and below down to my jowl area. Even just hours after the treatment I can see visible improvement! And from what I understand about the SofWav technology, it gets better over time! I HIGHLY recommend SofWave at Dr. Rumalla’s office and especially his RN, Stephanie. Dr. Rumalla has been exceptional throughout this whole process! He's answered all of my silly questions and has been pumping me up every time I go in to see him. I just had my pre-op consultation and am ready to get these new girlys put in! For reference, I'm 35, 5'1" tall and weigh 82lbs. I do try hard to gain, but my metabolism is a beast. Anyway- I am set to get 225cc submuscular High Profile implants with mesh. I can't wait! Will update as we go, but I'm so excited and just a tiny bit nervous. A little backstory; I am 35 years old, I have breastfed 2 babies <3 and my boobs went from a 30A to a 32C (pushing a D - and I only really shop at Victoria Secret). I didn't hesitate for one minute when Karen suggested I try SofWave. I was already scheduled for a CO2 procedure and it just made sense to do this at the same time.
