Lump underneath areola, after breast augmentation.

Based on the timing of things I wouldn't worry yourself too much.   Of course we need to take all breast lumps seriously but a lump presenting this early after surgery is likely either a benign lump or cyst that was present before surgery that you are simply feeling more with the underlying pressure from the implant or a postoperative change.    Ask your PS to feel the lump and treat, watch or image depending on their findings.  

First, I would agree that you should be seen by your surgeon.  While not all Plastic Surgeons see their patients at the first post-operative visit, by 8 weeks you really should have been seen by the doctor and not just their nurse.  
I would personally ask to be seen by your treating physician and ask them this question.  This lump may be benign but no lumps in the breast should simply be ignored.

While I don't think you should worry, any new lump in your breast should be assessed by your surgeon. There are many reasons that women develop masses in their breasts after surgery; whether yours is cause for concern depends on how your surgery was performed and other factors specific to you.

I want to assure you that many changes that are noticed post augmentation are totally benign and have to do with just having an implant, scarring or generally changes from healing. Still, it would be best to be evaluated by your surgeon specifically for this lump. 
If you had a periareolar incision to place your implants, in this time frame, it would be most likely that this is just a post surgical change, often from an absorbable suture.
Just a few minutes with your surgeon might go along way in making you feel better about this.

Your surgeon will very likely want to examine the area himself/herself.  I wouldn't worry too much until then, but don't delay having this evaluation too long.Most of these are post-surgical changes, especially if an incision was made around the areola for the implant insertion.Only your surgeon can advise you how to proceed, but I'd prefer that they feel the area themselves to verify your situation.
