Mommy make over and legs done
Answer: Ideal Body Weight for Mommy Makeover Thank you very much for your question and photographs. There are several factors to a successful cosmetic surgery procedure, including a Mommy Makeover. Generally, patients’ needs to be at a stable weight that is close to their ideal shape. Additionally, every surgeon will have their own set of protocols, but in most cases, an ideal patient will have a BMI of 30 or less. My recommendation is for you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, who can perform a physical examination and discuss your medical background. At this time, he/she will determine if now is the best time to schedule a Mommy Makeover, or if you will need to shed added weight before considering surgery.

Answer: Am I too overweight to get mommy makeover surgery? Thank you for the question. It is always best (or ideal) to achieve long-term stable weight prior to proceeding with mommy makeover surgery. Doing so, will increase the safety of the operation, will likely improve the outcome of the operation, and will decrease chances that additional surgery will become necessary subsequently. In my practice, I do not ask specific patients to achieve a specific weight prior to proceeding with tummy tuck surgery. I simply ask patients to achieve a long-term stable weight where he/she feels comfortable and does not expect significant fluctuation postoperatively. Generally speaking, the “ideal” patient for mommy makeover surgery is one who has completed pregnancies, is psycho socially/emotionally/financially stable, has an excellent social support system surrounding him/her, is capable of arranging enough recovery time, does not smoke and who has reached a long-term stable weight. My best advice: when the time is right, select your plastic surgeon carefully. Make sure that he/she has significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you would be pleased with. Then prepare yourself and your support system for a significant recovery experience (physical and often emotional). Best wishes.

Answer: Am I too overweight to get surgery? I am 275 pounds Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. In order to help minimize the risks of surgery, and to improve your aesthetic outcome, I would recommend weight loss prior to any surgery. Calculate your current BMI and see how much above 30 you are. Then extrapolate how much weight you will need to lose to reach a goal of 30. Hope this helps.

Answer: Mommy Makeover /Breast Augmentation/Breast Implants/Anatomic Gummy Bear Implants/Tummy Tuck/Liposuction I appreciate your question. For health and safety reasons, best to be at a BMI less than 30 or within 10 pounds of your goal weight and stable at that weight for 6 months prior to surgery for optimal results. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck!
