I love serving the people of Long Island and getting to know their unique backgrounds. My objective is to help my patients achieve their personal best, recognizing that "personal best" varies from one person to the next. I look forward to hearing your story and working toward your goals together.
Dr. Romanelli is not only a highly skilled professional, but an artist. After suffering with the effects of pregnancy on my body for well over 15 years, I decided to take care of myself. Having enough money for this surgery was always my barrier, and I finally realized that borrowing from my retirement to care for my body was a worthy investment. I have worked out just about every day for most of my life and nothing that I did or could do on my own would fix all of the sagging skin on my abdomen and my breast after nursing four children. His office is beautiful, and a well oiled machine. I had my procedures yesterday, a tummy tuck, and a breast lift. What this man was able to do with my body is a miracle. But furthermore, staying overnight in his facility and being cared for by a nurse all night was one of the most beautiful experiences for me. I highly recommend Dr. Romanelli and his practice for anyone looking to get their body back.
The best Dr out there! Thank you so much for giving me my confidence back!! I’ve already sent three people to him since my surgery back in April! So professional and knows his stuff! I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out
Dr. Romanelli was great. We have a long history together, when I had breast cancer, he was my surgeon. That was 23 years ago. When I got a 3rd degree burn that require his expertise, several years later, he was there for me. Then the unthinkable happened, one of my implants from my mastectomies, ruptured after all that time. Dr Romanelli was the only one I trusted. He did not disappoint. He was caring, informative, funny and the person who assisted me through other difficulties. I do not regret choosing him to handle the problem I faced 23 years later. He was compassionate and efficient. I am grateful for his continued excellence.
From the very first phone call I made, I was impressed with the courteous staff and their responsiveness in answering my questions, returning messages, etc. Juliette made herself available via text and telephone and that was very helpful. When I walked into the office for my first appointment, I was impressed by the bright and clean environment; it was very welcoming. And when I met Dr. Romanelli, his bedside manner made me feel comfortable in what would have been an otherwise awkward appointment. Dr. Romanelli was patient and listened to me explain what I wanted. He did not try to push additional procedures on me, as was the case with other surgeons I consulted with. At every single appointment, he always asks, "What questions do you have for me?" I could not be happier with my results; Dr. Romanelli gave me exactly what I asked for. He even responds to emails when I have a random question, which is equally impressive. The professionalism and kindness of Dr. Romanelli and the entire staff makes this practice second to none.
From the moment I walked in the office for the first time, I knew Dr. Romanelli was going to be the surgeon I chose. I’m 22, and I’ve wanted this surgery done since I was 16, but I was so nervous about the outcome. Dr. Romanelli really makes you feel comfortable and acknowledges all of your concerns you may have. My surgery went great, and post-op was a breeze. I could not express how grateful and happy I am with my results. I’ve never felt so beautiful and confident. I could not recommend him and North Shore Cosmetic enough!
The man is a legend. I had surgery in 2018 and with another surgeon and was left with awful keloid scarring. After getting zero response from the original surgeons staff I scheduled a consult with Dr. Romanelli. He was the original surgeon I wanted however I was under the impression he was no longer doing mommy make overs at the time (ladies he is and I highly recommend now is the time to do it) Fast forward to now, the scars on my breast were my biggest insecurity. My surgery was only 2 weeks ago but I can already tell my scarring is going to be minimal. Dr Romanelli is the most kind hearted generous surgeon I have ever met. His staff is phenomenal as well. Devin and Meena (I hope I spelled your name right) are the absolute sweetest. Scheduler Juliet I cannot thank you enough for dealing with me. And the OR staff, I went to sleep rocking out to Morgan Wallen and woke up to beautiful new breasts. I cannot wait to see the final result. Thank you to everyone at Northshore Cosmetic Surgery for taking such good care of me. I cannot thank you enough for giving me my self confidence back.
I had an amazing experience. The office, staff, and Dr. Romanelli were extremely responsive and kind. I never felt as if i had a question that went unanswered. My surgery has changed my everyday life for the better and my only complaint is that I wish I did it sooner!
I came to Dr Romanelli for revision on bilateral mastectomy that had developed capsular contracture I am very happy with my results. And i no longer have pain, my breast are now more symmetrical and have a nicer appearance. He set clear expectations for my outcome and his bedside manner was great. Updated on 23 Aug 2024: I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Dr Romanelli, I came to him with a severe case of capsular contracture after my bilateral mastectomy from another surgeon. I was in a lot of pain not only did he correct my issue but my breast look awesome! His bedside manners is amazing and his staff members are responsive and empathetic. I highly recommend North Shore!
I could not be happier with the results of my procedure! I wanted to get breast augmentation surgery for years but was always so scared and nervous to go through with it. When I was referred to Dr. Romanelli and finally made the appointment to go I knew right away I was in the right place. The front desk girls are the nicest people and the office is extremely warm, inviting and clean. Dr. Romanelli is not only amazing with his work but sweet, kind and never made me feel like my questions were stupid.
It is absolutely amazing how the professionalism, manners, and kindness of the surgical team come together, especially regarding Dr. Romanelli. Their care has surpassed all expectations, and it is truly a blessing to have had him as my surgeon. I must say this facility is absolutely stunning and everyone does their part to make you feel comfortable. In addition, the anesthesiologist was absolutely amazing, and I can only wish that everyone else has the beautiful experience that I had. I would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Romanelli's team, the recovery nurse Michele, the medical assistant Devin, my surgical coordinator Juliette I am eternally grateful for each and every one of you. My surgery was very particular and very difficult, and to have the beautiful experience that I have had is fantastic.
Dear srh224 With an "I" cup bra it seems you should certainly be a candidate for breast reduction surgery as a medically necessary procedure. Insurance companies vary in their coverage of reductions, and often have different criteria for approval. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who does a large number of breast reductions. In our practice, 80 % of patients are able to be qualified for insurance coverage. Attached is some information on insurance. Best of Luck Dr. Romanelli
Dear Diligent 651426 Thank you for your question. It sounds like there are 3 different perspectives that are not necessarily aligned: 1) Your insurance requires 500 gram removal 2) You want to be at least a D cup 3) The surgeon wants to reduce you to a C/D It would be a good idea to have a consultation with another Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Before I operate on a patient I must be certain that we have the same goals. Best of Luck Dr. Romanelli
Dear rwarmer: Thank you for your question. At a DDD size, removing 338 grams per side would typically reduce a breast size by 2 cups or so. Bra size varies by manufacturer and style, and women may prefer different size bras. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for a better estimate of your situation. Best of Luck Dr. Romanelli
Dear Hummingbird472 An H cup is too much for most women to carry! It sounds as though you meet medical criteria for breast reduction. The open question is exactly what benefits your insurance company provides. Most plans cover breast reductions as medically necessary and in our practice about 80% of our patients can get this coverage. A few plans, unfairly, exclude breast reduction surgery at any size. We offer virtual consultations. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to explore this further. Best of Luck Dr. Romanelli
Dear Exciting652298 Thank you for your question. Certainly, from you photo, it looks like you will benefit from a breast lift, and very likely from a breast reduction as well. Breast size is a choice. Patients often ask me what size will look best on them. I like proportion, but proportion is a range of sizes, not exactly one size. Breast reduction can reduce back pain, and it is also important to note that back pain can have many causes. Consider a second consultation with another board certified plastic surgeon. You deserve to have the breast size you desire. Best of luck Dr. Romanelli
