If you're looking for a self assured, no holds barred surgeon Dr. B is your guy. From the first consultation to the day. of surgery there's little doubt he knows what he is doing. I felt very confident (even though I was still nervous) that he would take care of me. I had a bi-lateral breast reduction with Liposuction (lipo is cosmetic, not covered by. insurance) My goal was to go from a 40DD to a C cup. I'm only one-week post-op but after my first post-op visit i could tell he did an excellent job on my surgery. My recovery has been wonderful so far; I am healing very well. I was so afraid I'd look like I'd been butchered. The scars were not what i expected so I have high expectations that would proper care, the scarring will resolve and be hardly noticeable. The pain in my upper back and shoulders is a thing of the past. The pain has literally disappeared. I want to say that the staff are wonderful and the location where I had my surgery provided excellent aftercare. dr. B's staff are very attentive, provide a quick turnaround to questions and are very accomodating. I would 100% recommend Dr. B for your surgical needs. I will post before and after pictures once my swelling and bruising improves.

My experience with the team was great. Erica, Dominique, Megan, Jonas, and the rest of the team who helped me with the process were amazing and heaven sent. The nurses after my surgery were amazing and cared for me as well. The surgery was smooth and I had no complications. I’d recommend Dr. Blechman and his team 100 times over again. I love my results and I’m so happy I went through with my breast reduction surgery.

Dr. Blechman was amazing! I have never felt more listened to by a surgeon. I had a complication with my back problem a few weeks before my surgery date but he spoke with my orthopedist and everything turned out fine.

I am a non-binary person who had chest masculinizing top surgery with Dr. Blechman. Dr Blechman and his team have a great system in place to ensure that I had the exact amount of attention that I required. The entire staff (both administrative and medical) are responsive to all questions no matter how small you may feel they are and are VERY clear and helpful about the process every step of the way both in the months/weeks leading up to the surgery and after. Everyone is kind, compassionate and thorough including Dr. Blechman whose confidence made me feel I was in good hands.

Scheduling a consultation and surgery with him was easy. At another popular practice in Manhattan, I had to wait two months to schedule a consultation and at the time of consultation they were scheduling surgeries a year out (this may vary of course). Because I'm freelance and i don't have a consistently predictable work schedule, the fact that i could have a surgery date that wasn't extremely far out from my scheduling date was very important to me and made work life more manageable.

As far as post surgery recovery and results go, I'm extremely happy! Dr. Blechman doesn't use drains and while I don't know what it's like to have drains I do know that not having to deal with them was a welcome feature of my recovery. I'm amazed at the beautiful work he has done and how fast my recovery (2.5 weeks post right now) has been and continues to be. The one draw back is that he is out of network to my insurance so I was more out of pocket (though not as much as one thinks) than I would have been with the other practice so if finances are difficult and you can afford to wait you'll have to give this some thought. But, to me, it has been a small price to pay for all the above reasons and for finally being able to feel bodily-aligned with my natural self. I will say that integration is still an on-going thing for me. It doesn't happen overnight especially for me as an older patient who's lived in my original body for decades and who did not grow up at a time or in a culture where top surgery was an option. I can't emphasize enough how beautiful Dr. Blechman's work is. My chest looks very natural to me -- and as I continue to integrate my new body into my whole being, I can envision a very near future where I'll look at myself and know this is always how I was meant to be.

I had chest masculinizing top surgery in June of 2024 with Dr. Blechman and his staff and could not have been more please with the process or results. Starting from the consultation him and his staff were very thoughtful and considerate answering every question I had while making me feel heard in the process. As far as the actual surgical results I am over the moon with the outcome and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Blechman is a very talented surgeon, my scars are even and my nipples are placed perfectly and healing great. Before surgery I had quite large breast and large areolas so I was concerned about the potential outcome but Dr. Blechman did an amazing job. Special shout out to my PAs Megan and Jonas who also provided terrific care. 10/10!!

Everything about this experience was better than I could have hoped. I felt seen and cared for from the initial consultation to the 6 month check in afterwards. I knew what to expect every step of the way due to the great patient care and found the doctor and team to be very responsive. I am extremely happy with the results of the surgery and am grateful for the doctor and entire team!

The consultation was extremely thorough and clear, and all my questions were answered; the preparation leading up to surgery was exquisitely specific, from the pre- and post-op timelines to the list of items needed; and the day of surgery went about as smoothly as one could hope for with the surgical staff.

To boot, Dr B left me a voicemail the evening of my surgery just to reassure me that everything went well and I “did fantastic”. I’m never going to delete this voicemail, haha. Absolutely rad, I adore this guy so much and couldn’t be happier that I chose him for this surgery.
