Dr Campbell as well as Dr Restrepo were the two surgeons who performed my Mommy makeover. I opted for care through the premium care suites. I had been told about how amazing the doctors and care team were, how lovely the suites were but nothing that was said came close to how amazing everything and the whole experience actually was. The journey started with our suite and getting settled in. The rooms and suites were 5star clean, spacious, comfortable and the views. Oh my goodness the views were to die for. Overlooking the Carribean sea. The day after arriving I had my first in person consultation with Dr Campbell. He made me feel so comfortable and there wasn’t a question he wasn’t willing to answer. My mother was with me and on top of the 30-40min consultation he gave me, he also took another 30mins to do a consultation with my Mother. He was kind and genuinely caring. When I went into surgery the next day I almost had zero nerves because I knew what good hands I was in. The facility is top of the line, the operating room was large with lots of the latest technology equipment, sterile and clean. The nurses and care team were all reassuring and everyone was genuinely kind and caring. I felt so confident going in to my surgery and had an extended tummy tuck, muscle repair, breast lift and implants, some lipo in a couple areas. Dr Restrepo came in before surgery to meet me and gave me a warm hug. When I was done my surgery I forgot that my nurse was coming back to the suites with me. That was such a pleasant surprise but nothing like you get in Canada(which is where I’m from). My nurse came back with me, took my vitals every few hours and helped me get comfortable throughout the entire night. She attended to my every need and assured me in times of uncertainty. The next day the lovely cook made a breakfast for champions which was included in the package. It came with a fresh fruit smoothy, fresh fruit platter consisting of mangoes, pineapples, bananas, papaya and dragon fruit along with eggs made whichever way and then toast was optional. Coffee also optional. After breakfast the nurse would come and visit me and do a thorough checkup. After nurse visits was my massage lady. She was so gentle so even postop I still felt comfortable and she left after a relaxing 45min massage leaving me feeling so good and standing a little taller. Nurses and masseuse came everyday for my entire duration stay. I would sit on the balcony over looking the crashing waves eating breakfasts and dinner everyday. Recovery in paradise and then some.As a Canadian nurse myself I would go back to Premium care in a heart beat. The doctors are top of the line and you can tell how experienced they are through consultations. No question was too difficult for them to answer. I’m actually saving to go back for some more work. I’m so excited to have found these amazing people. My results are better than any of my friends who’ve paid triple the amount in North America and they only co tiniest to get better with each passing day. I’m almost one month post op. I love this place and I love these people. Nothing but good to say. Thank you to everyone in involved in my experience and transformation <3
(I will add pics when I get home next week. I'm still here in Cartagena) Procedures: tummy tuck(front), posterior lift(back), lipo to back, bra roll and the pouch of skin he was removing from the front, fat grafting to butt and hips(BBL) First of all I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU TO DR CAMPBELL AND ALL THE STAFF AT PCPS!!!! THANK YOU GUYS FOR MAKING THIS SO EASY!! Ok on to the review. Daniela was my coordinator. I came in Sept 2022 and personally met the Dr for my consultation. At that time I was 5'8 and 135. Practically no fat anywhere. BBL was off the table for me. I decided I was going to do the 360 body lift with breast lift no implants anyway without the BBL. Complications with my mammogram hindered the scheduled surgery date. The clinic kindly offered to reschedule when I was ready. Fast forward December 2023. I contacted Daniela and told her I'd be ready by Oct 1st. She said Oct 1st it is and then everything went so fast. I'm a tax accountant so taking 3 months off to recover was no problem for me. I gained 30lbs in anticipation of getting the BBL so I opted to do the breasts at a later date. Sept 28th I arrive in Cartagena. I opted to stay in another hotel prior to checking into the recovery suites. Hampton by Hilton. It is a 1 block walk to the Dr office. Sept 30th we walked to the Dr and Juan Carlos gave us a ride to H2, the recovery suites. They are beautiful and the view is breathtaking! I'm sitting in my bed right now, making this review, looking out my sliding door at the ocean with boats and jet skis going by. The sun sets on this side of the peninsula(Bocagrande) so I watch the sunset every night. Oct 1... wake up, shower with pre surgery soap, nothing on the skin, READY! Juan Carlos picks us up and we're off. It's a less than 10 minute ride to the Dr. Traffic is sometimes hectic. The walk is about 25 minutes (almost 2 miles). I see the Dr, he looks me over again, I get fitted for my fajas then off to see the anesthesiologist. We chat, he approves everything then the surgery nurses start their thing. I change into to gown, hat and compression socks. Legs are wrapped with garbage bags and IV is started. The Dr comes in to mark me up then I wait. Shortly after the green light is given. I'm wheeled into the surgery suite where I'm thoroughly cleaned with warm iodine (it's freezing in there) and helped onto the bed and covered with a big blanket. After waiting maybe 10 or 15 minutes, while the staff is connecting things and turning things on and getting things ready, the anesthesiologist comes up with the gas mask and says breathe. I know it's time so I breathe deeply. As I'm breathing I can feel the burn going up my arm from the anesthesia so I start counting backwards from 20. Before I reached 1 I was out. Next I remember the nurse was waking me up saying it was over, I was in the recovery room and everything went well. No complications! I was there for a while until I wasn't wobbly or dizzy, maybe 2 hours. Then they got me up, I walked to pee, then they put me in my faja. After that I was whisked away by wheelchair to Juan Carlos waiting outside to return us to the recovery suites. I was walking on my own. People were there to assist but I was walking and moving around with very little pain. The procedure started around 12 and I was at the recovery suites by 6pm eating chicken soup prepared for me. A nurse went home with me and made sure I took my meds on time all night. She's also there in case you have questions, concerns or complications. The next morning she left and the regular staff came in. The ladies are here everyday 7am-4:30pm. They clean your room daily, they prepare breakfast and it's included, they will also prepare lunch and/or dinner for you by request for a fee. There is a menu. The portions are huge. If you're sleeved you will go crazy looking at so much food on your plate you can't eat lol. The food is good. I ate meals prepared by them and I also used a delivery service Rappi. Love them! It's like Uber eats meets Instacart. Since my mobility was limited, Rappi was a great option. A nurse from the clinic comes every morning to take your vitals and pictures of your surgery sites. They start you with 10 massages. I stayed longer than the 14 days so I extended my massages. Carmen was great! I'm going to miss her. Now let's talk about pain. Day 1 post op I was very stiff and pain was at 7, day 2I... 6, day 4...5, day 5...3 and by day 6 there was barely any pain only discomfort and soreness from the lipo burn. The incision was painless. I quit my pain pills in the first week. But let me tell you when she does the massage, it will be uncomfortable. Mine hurt the first week but as the days went on they became less painful, then soothing. I had my last one yesterday. I had nothing but a wonderful surgery experience with Premium Care. I'm sad to check out tomorrow, but we enjoyed H2 so much we rented a unit downstairs for a few days for my family to come visit and have a mini vacation. I will see the Dr again Monday and Thursday before my flight. I will be back in April 2025 for a breast lift, arm lift and a face lift. I'm super excited and can't wait. I know I'll be in good hands with Dr. Campbell!
I had an AMAZING experience with Dr Campbell in Cartagena. It’s my second breast augmentation and he gave me exactly what I wanted - 100cc more. I will note I’ve always had symmetrical boobs and so going up a size 8yrs after my first surgery wasn’t pushing too many limits. Realizing my needle phobia, they let me get into the operating room and put me out with gas before hooking up the IVs which was incredible! I’m one day post op and able to walk around and do pretty much everything normally. My under nose stitches had to be trimmed but that’s the extent of the complaints department. I’m already off the pain medication and just taking the antibiotics. Video was super well filmed and informative with before and afters. Would 100% recommend coming here and if I want more changes in the future I’ll be back!
I had a breast lift, tummy tuck with muscle repair, 360 lipo, and upper blepharoplasty It's been 3 weeks now and I am blown away by the results. We're fed a bunch of fear to not go abroad (outside the States) for surgery, but after being in a messenger group and Facebook groups of women with the same procedure I am SO grateful I did. The aftercare is horrid in the states - and I think my results are MUCH better than the doctors I would’ve picked in the states. I paid half as much as I would have in the states including hotel and airfare. The package the center offers includes the recovery suite hotel (5 star accommodation high rise with balcony ocean views) and cook to order breakfast in the suite, plus daily lymphatic massage and nursing care. I had 24 hour nursing to help me afterwards and everything from the pillow wedge to the bed chucks all set up and provided for me. I could have more 24 hour nursing if I wanted to for $50usd a day, but a nurse included in the package price comes daily to help shower, take photos of the incisions and send to the Dr, take vitals etc. All the fajas and everything- it’s all coordinated and included! I went for a follow up appointment every 3-5 days. It was all arranged for me. I just went i the lobby and they have a car service ready and waiting. I didn't have to worry about anything. The fajas are also measured and arranged the day before surgery. Literally everything you'd need they take care of. I traveled alone, was greeted at the airport and was never alone/worries/stressed since. The doctors are TRULY talented. Not only in their technique, but bedside manar. I was debating a small implant but was told they could get the results I wanted without and they were absolutely right. My incisions are invisible on my eyes. How did they even do that! I was walking around the attached mall day 4! Since two surgeons do the surgery I had all that surgery in only 4 hours making it safer and healing faster. In the states it would have been over 8 hours and in two days. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Just do it. Don't be like me and eye them for two years until finally doing it. Just do it. You won't regret it. I feel much safer and trust them much more than any doctor in the states. Updated on 16 Nov 2023: Seriously where are the incisions. Also annoyed about my grammar/spelling errors in the first post! Doing this on my phone… have yo share as I just couldn’t be happier. Updated on 17 Nov 2023: The way the incisions are made and healing speak for themselves. Everyone at premium care plastic surgery has been so friendly and helpful. I’m super grateful to Dr. Restrepo and Dr. Campbell for being so immaculate in all their procedures. They’re SO incredibly kind and truly listen to patients. Everything was so well organized and the organized and frequent follow up care with the doctors makes the outcome and experience even that much better. I can’t recommend them enough.
I traveled from New York to have different procedures with Dr. Campbell. The doctor did a tummy tuck, breast lift, calf implants and posterior lift. He did an amazing job! You can see the difference since the first day of your surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Campbell to any future patient who wants to look good and natural.
I had an exceptional experience at Premium Care. Dr. Campbell listened to my complaints and offered solutions. Care after surgery and in the Suites was phenomenal. Discomfort but not pain. Excellent pricing. Gorgeous ocean view at the suites. Not great pictures but…outstanding result. Updated on 17 Oct 2023: I am very happy with my results. Most swelling has disappeared. There are no noticeable scars as they are hidden behind my ears. I have slight numbness on the sides of my face but that is lessening as time goes on. Definitely made a great choice selecting Premium Care and Dr. Campbell for my face and neck lift.
Words cannot describe my extraordinary experience with Dr. Campbell. He is an amazing plastic surgeon, to say the least. I knew from the moment I spoke with him, during my consultation, that he was the provider I needed. He is beyond caring, professional and sensitive about his patients! The outcome of my surgery exceeded my expectations and I am forever grateful!
Dr. Campbell is an amazing and knowledgeable Doctor. What I appreciated most is his honesty and realist opinion and can say he truly has his patients best interest. I originally had a consult for a blepharoplasty and a mini facelift but he suggested me fat grafting instead of the facelift which was much less abrasive, cost friendly and was a better fit for what I was looking to perfect. I did some thorough research before deciding on Premium Care and consulted with 3 other clinics. Right after my first consultation with the Dr. I was confident and set in my choice. The whole process was easy and stress free. Alba, who is the coordinator I worked with was extremely sweet, attentive and was always available to answer all my questions. Im now a little over one week post op. Stopped taking my pain meds on the second day and felt little to no discomfort. So far, highly satisfied with my results and I can’t wait to see the final outcome. I highly recommend this clinic. Thank you.
There aren’t enough words to describe the level of care I received from Dr. Campbell and the entire staff. From the moment I reached out to his office I felt at ease. They answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had. The day I had my phone consult with Dr. Campbell I knew I was making the right decision. I scheduled my procedures. The day I flew into Cartagena in January of this year (2023), when I arrived the driver was there waiting for me. I was driven to the guest suits. Upon arrival , I was greeted by his wonderful staff who welcomed me as if I was family. The suits were beautiful, bright, airy, and clean. Each guest has their own private room and bath that overlooks the ocean and Old Cartagena. No stranger to this beautiful city, I took advantage of the time I had that night to go to dinner and walk the city. The following day I was picked up by the driver and taken to my pre-op appointment. I met with Dr. Campbell, nursing, and the anesthesiologist. Everyone took time to go over every single detail and told me what to expect. They answered all my questions, never once felt rushed or I was a bother. The following day I had my surgery. The driver picked me up and drove me to the facility. I was prepped and told what was going to happen every step of the was. When I woke up, I was assisted with getting dresses. The nurse accompanied me back to the suits and stayed with me overnight, checking my vitals and managing my pain. The days to follow, I saw the masseuse everyday who provided relaxing lymphatic drainage messages. In addition a nurse came in everyday to check my incisions, bandage changes, drain checks, took pictures to show the doctors my progress, and checked my pain levels. There was a wonderful cook and maid staff that attended to my needs. It truly was a wonderful experience. After about a week or so, I was able to walk to the grocery store and the mall that was attached to the suits. I was driven to see Dr. Campbell. There he looked at my incisions, removed the drains in my arms ( I still needed the tummy drains) and took the time to answer my questions. The day I was to leave Cartagena ( I was there a total of two weeks) I saw Dr. Campbell for one last check and thankfully the removal of my tummy drains. I didn’t want to travel with them or worse worry about having them removed when I returned home. Again, never to disappoint, he answered all my questions about “now what happens after”. The driver drove me to the airport made sure my bag was taken care of so I wouldn’t need to lift it. I do suggest that you make arrangements with the airline to get wheelchair assistance. Trust me, you will thank me later. It was a HUGE relief. I had to go through customs in Miami before catching a connecting flight. I couldn’t imagine what It would have been like if I didn’t request assistance. Once I was home, I took it easy. I work from home so I returned to work the day after returning home. I wished I had taken more time, just because I went through a major surgery and my mind and body was exhausted. Dr. Campbell reached out to see if I returned home safely and wanted to know if I had any questions. After a month, I was contacted by the office to sent progress pictures and to see how I was feeling and if I had questions. Then again the second month. I can not thank Dr. Campbell and his wonderful staff enough for all they have done. The level of service and care was absolutely TOP NOTCH! I can honestly say for sure, I would have not had this experience here in the states. I am now working with his office to return and have a breast lift, neck, and face lift this coming fall early winter. I strongly recommend traveling to this facility for any plastic surgery needs. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. Based on the photos, fat grafting can help correct the deep dent on one side of your buttock. During assessment, the doctor can evaluate areas for fat transfer, most commonly the back and hip areas. You appear to have some fat available in your hips, which could be used to improve the contour. Liposuction would be a good procedure to sculpt the donor areas, and the fat can then be grafted to enhance symmetry and restore volume. This approach can result in a dramatic enhancement of feminine curves.
Thanks for your question. A mommy makeover can be very powerful by combining different procedures to achieve a great overall transformation. It sounds like you already have a full surgical plan in place. I don’t use energy-based devices like J-Plasma or Renuvion, as I don’t believe there’s strong evidence that they improve outcomes, and our results are excellent without them. The same goes for Artiss and wound vacs. For wound vacs like Prevena, we occasionally use them in high-risk situations or when requested by the patient, but our rate of wound healing issues is already very low without them.
Thanks for your question! When it comes to tummy tuck incisions, I always say—we aim to keep the scar as short as possible, but long enough to get the job done. The incision heals into a thin line, hidden below the bikini line. Most importantly, it’s all about achieving the right contour.
Thanks for your question. I know some talented surgeons who recommend and use hemostatic net suturing after a facelift. This essentially is to prevent or minimize the risk of hematoma, which in our practice is already very low. I worry about permanent marks after these sutures, as well as perhaps increased risk for bleeding with dozens of extra punctures of the deep tissue after the skin closure. For this reason, I don't think these are necessary or helpful in our practice, and I do not use them.
Thanks for your question. Healing after liposuction is usually pretty straight forward. There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The lateer phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient.
