The front view of your nose is pleasing, however, since the side walls of your nose or two high, this results in a dorsal hump on profile view. We can also see excessive nostril show and a hanging columella. If you have severe dissatisfaction with the appearance of your nose, and are looking to achieve refinement in your nasal profile appearance, please consider meeting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialist so you can see what to expect after surgery. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
Hi from Istanbul! To address the problem you're referring to, a combination of tip plasty, aimed at repositioning the nasal tip to its ideal location, along with support for the nasal rims, would be suitable. This approach requires a delicate balance but is certainly achievable for enhancing the overall look of your nose. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. You should be able to have an excellent result. Best wishes to you.
What you are referring to is increased show in the alar region of your nose. During the tip refinement phase of rhinoplasty, this can be adjusted through various maneuvers that an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon will be familiar with.
Hi It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and discuss if needed the surgical procedure and the post op recovery process.
Hello, Great observation. This is something I come across a fair number of times when doing consultations for rhinoplasty, but patients often mistake this for "tip drop" and ask for tip rotation. They realize that it's more of nostril retraction issue once I point it out, but it is rare for them to notice it themselves. So great job. This is also the reason that understanding the nuances of nasal aesthetics is so important for great results. This is also something I see frequently when doing revision rhinoplasty, as improper techniques can lead to retraction. Yes, this is something that could be and should be addressed with a rhinoplasty. Most often this is a combination of changing the orientation of the lower lateral cartilages and using rim grafts, as well as alar reduction. Make sure to consult with surgeons that are truly experienced and dedicated to rhinoplasty. Good luck!
A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish shaving down the dorsal hump, refinement of the nasal tip cartilages, and reducing your hanging columella with all of the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. No external incisions are required, no painful packing is required either. If you're interested in narrowing your nostrils, an alar-plasty can be performed simultaneously. Rhinoplasty is the most difficult procedure to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon wisely based on extensive experience
Dear oliverse,It appears that you would be a good candidate for a standard rhinoplasty. Seek consultation with an American Board of Plastic Surgery board certified plastic surgeon in your area for an examination and discussion of your options and goals. Many surgeons offer free consultation. Good luck!
Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. Addressing the shape of the nose is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address your nose, and is particularly effective at addressing the size, shape, and...
Based on your photographs, your nose still appears to be quite swollen, and since your surgeon is overseas, it may be in your best interest to wait until all of your swelling has completely resolved before considering another procedure. Other issues may or may not pop up. If the convexity along...
As long as your cheek implants are well positioned, there should be no issues performing rhinoplasty surgery with osteotomies. An examination would be necessary to determine this, however, I doubt that would be an issue. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
