Goal is an attractive, natural nose that best fits my face without severely compromising the nose's structural integrity. A wonderful doctor proposed the following and I feel good. Just doing diligence. Would love to hear doctors' thoughts on plan/pics and if there is anything else you might recommend. -septoplasty for deviated septum -lower the bridge with correction of the hump, improved symmetry and smoothness of the bridge, and slight tip deprojection if feasible based on the skin thickness
Answer: Rhinoplasty to change shape... Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Your imaged photo don't show much tip deprojection. I would deproject slightly, and then create a nice straight, masculine bridge. It's important to ensure that you are seeing a rhinoplasty expert for surgery.

Answer: Yes, Rhinoplasty The only way to get the results you posted is through Rhinoplasty surgery. Filler in the nose can bring up the bridge of the nose giving it the illusion of a smoother profile, but it will not bring down a large dorsal hump. Rhinoplasty surgery is usually combined with a septoplasty and inferior turbinate reduction. Some surgeons will refer to all of the procedures as "Rhinoplasty" and others will refer to it as a "Septorhinoplasty" in your case.

Answer: The morphs are nice. I'd change them just a bit. More ... To my eye, the tip is still strong in its forward projection, and the 3/4 view shows a bridge stronger than I would leave it. But it's certainly an improvement. The surgical drawings: they are proposed changes, right? I probably wouldn't use the spreader grafts or the columellar strut graft that are pictured. I personally only rarely use those grafts, but I know many surgeons do.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. You should be able to have an excellent result. Best wishes to you.
