Are ab and back boards and foams necessary after lipo 360 and BBL?

My surgeon is telling me ab boards and foams aren’t necessary and counter productive after lipo 360 and bbl. I know a lot of girls use them. But are they necessary? Will i get same results if i dont use an ab board, back board and foams?

I suggest you follow your specialist recommendations, because the compression garment and foams depends of multiple things among other the doctor's surgical technique and the type of equipment used to perform the surgery. Yes, the boards and foams are important to use after liposuction to help the skin retract back and tighen since it is a bit loosen after liposuction, the foams and boards will help obtain better results and also post op massages are important to aviod any lumps. I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.

During 360 liposuction an amount of fat is take off from your body and this cause lymphatic liquid to be create in your body specially the areas where you have the liposuction done, the use of the Faja and massages can help to this liquid to be reduce with the past of the days, the use of the boards can depend how is the patient creating liquid, some patient needs more compression and this board can help the to reduce that as well. With this I want to let you know, not all the patients needs the boards.

Each surgeon has her/his own protocol with the use of compression and other devices after surgery. Some recommend massage and some don't.  If you are unsure about your surgeon's opinion I encourage you to ask questions to better understand the perspective.  That will allow you to make a more informed decision.  It is important that you feel comfortable and confident as you prepare for surgery.

The foams and ab boards are not necessary with a good compression garment, and sometimes those things will leave indentations. Instead of listening to "a lot of girls" who are not medical experts, listen to your surgeon.

Every surgeon has their own post-operative techniques.  I do not use boards, but I do use foam.  Some surgeons do not even use compressive garments!  There is no right or wrong, and I feel the long term results will be similar one year post op no matter what the initial post op instructions are.

There are only two variables that determine liposuction results.
The first is patient candidacy and the second is how well the procedure is performed.
Nothing else has any impact on the final outcome.
No one has ever shown the compression garments affect liposuction results.
The same is true for abdominal foam or boards.
The same is also true for getting massage after treatment.
The two variables that do matter vary massively. Anybody considering Liposuction should have a clear understanding of the candidacy for the procedure.
Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is also more difficult than most people believe. Provider selection is paramount and getting consistent high-quality results.
Patients were not good candidate for liposuction cannot get great results regardless of who does the procedure.
Individuals who are good candidates can however become just figured why not properly selecting the right provider.
Liposuction results vary more based on who does the procedure than any other plastic surgery operation I’ve ever seen.
There are plenty of board-certified plastic surgeons with overall good reputation and years of experience for simply are not good at Liposuction.
Liposuction results are permanent and irreversible.
Patients should focus on the two variables to determine Liposuction results. Understanding your own candidacy is paramount and maintaining satisfaction from the outcome.
Do you need to understand if you’re a good candidate for the procedure or not.
There’s a little individuals can do to change their candidacy. For Liposuction I suppose weight changes can influence Candidacy to some degree.
What patients do have control over is the selection of the right provider.
It doesn’t matter what equipment they use or what postoperative protocol they have. These variables are irrelevant and I wouldn’t spend effort focusing on them.
I would however put a lot of emphasis on choosing the right provider.
Do that by having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons who seem to do a lot of liposuction.
There’s no correct number of consultations but I recommend patient start with having at least five in person consultations.
I do not recommend people at virtual consultations but I do not recommend people travel long distances for elective surgical procedures.
Do I need consultation Bring pictures of your own body for the areas you’re interested in having treated. If it’s the abdomen then bring pictures showing your front side side and back side from your neck to your knees wearing undergarments. look at our plastic surgeons take before and after pictures.
It’s important to have pictures of your own body to use for reference when reviewing before and after pictures.
During each consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures.
Ask providers to only show you pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your own(same candidacy). As providers to show you examples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes and outcomes that did not turn out as well as they had hope for.
For reference and experience surgeon should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sensor before and after pictures of Connolly perform procedures like liposuction. Highly experienced surgeons should be in fact have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures for these procedures.
Providers may be apprehensive of showing you anything other than preselected images representing the “best work of their career”. Well these pictures may be impressive they do not represent what average results look like in the hands of each provider nor did they tell you how many procedures have actually done.
Behind every excellent result are many many patients who got average results. since most people get average results you need to find out what average results look like in the hands of each provider.
You also need to find out what your candidacy is for the procedure.
Determining who’s going to be a good candidate for Liposuction is not always easy or straight forward. This too takes years of experience with the dedication to mastering Liposuction.
A sufficiently talented provider should be able to examine you, make an assessment and then show you what seems like an endless number of before and after pictures of previous patients who look almost identical to you and show you what their results look like consistently.
If you have any doubts how long the process to slow down and schedule more consultations.
If done poorly Liposuction can leave people disfigured.
The results are permanent irreversible. You’ll be reminded every day for the rest of your so please choose carefully.
