Can I still be extremely swollen six months after 360 lipo? (Photo)

I had 360 lipo may 28, 2022 i am 7 months post op and the upper part of my stomach is bulging out in the shape of a ball. Is this normal?

Thank you for your question.  Looking at your photo that you have posted it looks like you maybe dealing with some intra abdominal fat.  This is fat deep down under your abdominal wall muscles.  I would suggest low carb diet and exercise to see if you can reduce the intra abdominal fat.  Best of luck to you.

Thank you so much for your question. After surgeries as Liposuction your body can create a seroma that is a result of an accumulation of clear fluid in a tissue, an organ, or a body cavity. They usually go away on their own, but may need to be drained. Please contact your surgeon and had a physical evaluation and run some testing for accurate recommendations.

It is not common to remain noticeably swollen six months after liposuction.  An in person evaluation is needed, but based on the provided photo the contour that concerns you can be from a few different things.  One is visceral fat, which is the internal fat around the organs.  This is not addressed by liposuction.  Another potential option is abdominal wall laxity.  I encourage you to visit with your surgeon for an evaluation and discussion of your concerns.

Preoperative photos as well as recent photos of your naked abdomen from the front and sides helps in accurate assessments of your issues.  What it appears like from your single photo is that you may have visceral (internal abdominal fat) along with looser abdominal muscles allowing the stomach to have a  convex (outward protruding) appearance.  If this is true, only diet and exercise will resolve your issues (it does not appear that you require an abdominoplasty).

Do you have Domino wall is bulging. This is either due to muscle separation from previous pregnancies or carrying excess visceral fat or a combination of both.
Liposuction will only reduce subcutaneous fat and will give a flat abdominal wall if your muscle wall is flat to start with.
If your abdominal muscle wall is bulging because of obesity and excess visceral fat then you will still bulge afterwards.
Individuals who have excess visceral fat should be told about this during in person consultations before having liposuction so they have a clear understanding about the procedure can and cannot accomplish.
If you have children then this may be due to muscle separation. Both work as the domino Walter bulge

If this is due to muscle separation from previous pregnancies then you may need to consider getting a tummy tuck and or lose weight.
