I’m starting to get serious about taking the next steps to get a BBL. I’ve worked out for four years. Ate right. I actually got really good at it. But unfortunately my genetics call for narraw hips and hip dips. I want a natural bbl. But I’m scared of all the deaths. Most cases I see the people traveled outside of the US. What’s your thoughts?

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Nice4671, BBL is a safe procedure. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: BBL risks BBL's remain the highest risk elective plastic surgical procedures performed. While they are much safer than years ago (with restrictions placed on both volume of fat removed and placement of fat above the muscle), they are still fraught with complications of infection, fat necrosis and even death (rare in recent years). They remain my number one procedure performed as with many other board certified plastic surgeons. I would not consider leaving the country for a discounted procedure as the rules and regulations are much more lax outside the United States. Follow ups for any complications would be exceedingly difficult as well. Dr. Taranow
