I have factor v Leiden, not on thinners. Can I get a BBL?

Question

I have factor v Leiden diagnosed in 2012 after a placental abruption. Had 2 children after that pregnancy but every pregnancy I had to take lovanox I’ve also had vsg 2021 now I’m interested in BBL. Not on thinners just take 81mg aspirin daily prophylactally.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. Also you MUST obtain from your hematologist a written letter of potential clearance with recommendation for the prevention of the hyper coagulate state caused by this genetic Factor V variant. I doubt your doctors will clear you for surgery, but if they do, then I would only operate upon you in hospital operating room setting, not in office surgery setting. Thusly, the fees would be in the $20,000+ ranges because of the extra expenses using the hospital for surgery.

I don't recommend you to have BBL surgery. That is already high risky surgery and you have factor 5 leiden mutation.
