I have factor v Leiden, not on thinners. Can I get a BBL?

Also you MUST obtain from your hematologist a written letter of potential clearance with recommendation for the prevention of the hyper coagulate state caused by this genetic Factor V variant. I doubt your doctors will clear you for surgery, but if they do, then I would only operate upon you in hospital operating room setting, not in office surgery setting. Thusly, the fees would be in the $20,000+ ranges because of the extra expenses using the hospital for surgery.

I don't recommend you to have BBL surgery. That is already high risky surgery and you have factor 5 leiden mutation.

Each plastic surgeon will have their own view on the appropriateness of doing elective surgical procedures on patients with blood clot disorders. You’re most likely need a hematologist or internist to clear you and manage blood clot related therapy.

Whether you will make a good candidate for a BBL depends on your total blood count and your clotting ability. What you need to get is a blood test to determine where you fall. If you are a clotter and then you can get Lovenox. If you are bleeder, then you will have to raise your blood levels prior to surgery.
