Nasal tip refinement for bulbous/boxy nose?

am i a good candidate for nasal tip refinement surgery? i would like to get rid of the boxy appearance of my nose without shortening it and without a more invasive procedure.

You do appear to be a good candidate for nasal tip plasty. The cartilage of the tip is trimmed and reshaped so that it appears more triangular instead of the boxy appearance you note. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.

During a primary ethnic rhinoplasty, the skin and soft tissues are often completely separated from the underlying bone and cartilage framework. The framework is modified and the skin is laid back down. These are big movements that are often intended to create millimeter changes to the shape of the nose once it heals.Each nose is different, however, and so there will be slight variations in the technique. In addition, the thickness of the nose skin can affect the overall result. photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can
accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your
lower nose.   Make sure you specifically look at before and after
pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon
and not just a computer animation system. The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

Yes, you would be an excellent candidate for tip rhinoplasty.  Tip rhinoplasty would help to reduce the bulbous (overly round) character of the nasal tip.  It would be a surgical procedure that requires general anesthesia.  The procedure is done as an "outpatient" so you would be back home after the surgery.  I suggest you have a consultation with a surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty to review your options.  Good Luck!

A full rhinoplasty is required to make the  changes to the nose due to the fact that  new tip must balance with the remainder of the components of the nose,  Otherwise looked..  The bulbous tip can be reduced with suture techniques and a conservative cartilage removal.  Thick skin in the tip of the nose will be an impediment to see refinement in that area as well.  The dorsal hump can be removed and osteotomies will need to  be performed.  For information and many examples, see below

Yes, it can be refined. But this is done surgically. You would be done under sedation, general anesthesia is not needed and all the incisions are on the inside of your nose. It can not be refined without some form of nasal surgery.

Hi,
You are a great candidate for Rhinoplasty. Each patients nose is different so the technique varies.  Depending on the reason for your bulbous tip- surgery may require defatting the tip, cartilage grafting, and/or reshaping. This type of rhinoplasty is highly specialized, it takes years to perfect the techniques so it is important to chose a surgeon who has a lot of experience. Look at his/her before and after pics to get an idea of the surgeons results. Most surgeons will have computer imaging available so you can see what your results would look like. In good hands, you should get a great result.
