Answer: Rhinoplasty: can the nose be too small? Rhinoplasty is a surgery to improve the shape of the nose for breathing or appearance.Making the nose smaller, more refined, or more narrow is a common request. I like to use 3D image simulation to get on the same page as my patients. It is useful to demonstrate the limits of how narrow a nose can be. The ideal nose needs to be in balance with the rest of the face. Additionally, a narrow nose can block your ability to breath. If you have a breathing problem, it will ruin the best looking nose. Safety comes first.

Answer: Nose too small? Thank you for your questions. There certainly are ideal facial proportions that if violated can be aesthetically unpleasant. A nose made too small can throw your entire facial balance off. Seek out a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best of luck to you!
