At this point in time, it is too early to make judgements about your cosmetic result. You are very early in the recovery period after rhinoplasty. I typically tell patients that a majority of swelling is gone after 6 months, but the nose will take a full year to fully heal. I would try to be patient and stay the course. The position and curvature of the alar rim (lateral portion of the "nostril") can be manipulated during rhinoplasty. An overly flared nostril can be corrected with Weir Wedge Incisions. Excessive convexity can be corrected with suturing or lateral crural strut grafts. Alar malposition can also be corrected with lateral crural strut grafts. Excessive alar retraction can be corrected with cartilage grafts: alar rim grafts for mild cases and composite grafts taken from the ear for severe cases. You are correct, NSAIDs are typically not recommended when undergoing facial cosmetic surgery. Specifically for rhinoplasty surgery, NSAIDs will increase intraoperative bleeding, which will subsequently lead to more swelling/bruising and a prolonged recovery.
