The proper use of the Bennelli technique depends not only on how much lift is desired but also the quality of the skin. This is not possible to asses with only photos so an in person consultation is necessary. If minimal tension occurs with only a Benelli technique, it may be the right procedure for you.
Thank you for your question and photo. It is important to have a good relationship with your surgeon. You should have a clear thoughtful discussion about your goals and the best way to achieve it. There are benefits and tradeoffs to every procedure and while on one hand one particular procedure may limit scars it may also limit the results. Sometimes the best results are achieved with more extensive procedure. Start with a face to face consult with a BoardCertified Plastic Surgeon who has experience in breast surgery. Duringyour visit your surgeon should be evaluating your health and examining yourtissues to get a sense of what your tissues will allow. Some patientshave very stretchy skin that will not provide the support of an implant with alimited incisions. On the other hand, your surgeon may have some goodsolutions that incorporate the use of internal support and techniques that maysolve your issues. Only with a hands on exam can this be determined. Once an exam and opinion is rendered then one must balance what you wantwith what your tissues will allow. Good luck.
HI, ZeliaM. Based on your photo, you may be a good candidate for Benelli (circumareolar) lift as long as you will not have too much tension on your sutures. Please consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated in-person. Good luck.
In my experience with my own patients as well as those coming to me after another surgeon has operated on them , the Benelli technique has actually resulted in more scarring because of the tension placed on the circular scar resulting in misshapen areola and wide scars. The vertical technique handles the tension better and is more forgiving and takes the tension off the circular incision so it is a fine line more often, in addition to helping elevate and shape the breast. Don't pick the technique yourself. Pick your surgeon based on qualifications and experience first. Online reviews are basically worthless since they are subjective and you might be reading a negative review from someone with a personality disorder who has unrealistic expectations or conversely a review who is a relative or employee of the doctor. Would you use online revues to pick your brain surgeon? I wouldn't. I could care less if my brain surgeon was warm and fuzzy. I just want the outcome to be great so I would go to the highest qualified doctor I could find. ASPS, ASAPS , and the American Association of Plastic Surgery membership all convey high qualifications in addition to board certification. Authorship , presentations and teaching courses also indicate expertise. Go with a qualified and experienced doctor and trust that person to choose the technique that is best for you. A beautiful shape with a scar is better than a poor shape with less scar.
By the looks of your photographs you might be an appropriate candidate for a circumareolar mastopexy. If you search these words you might be able to find images of this procedure.
Thank you for the photo and though an examination is needed, you may get a very nice result with a pocket revision and Binelli mastopexyDr Corbin
Based on this one photo, it looks as though a circumareolar mastopexy (Benelli) with or without an implant revision should achieve for you the most beautiful final result. A consultation with a plastic surgeon highly experienced in all areas of cosmetic surgery of the breast, including all types of mastopexy with or without implants, as well as a member of both ASPS and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) is highly recommended.
Hi, Ftely. It seems like you have a fairly thin skin. Everyone has veins in the breasts. Your particular vein is located in superficial plane; since your breast skin is thin, it is more obvious to see the vein. You can get lift. The vein should not affect your...
