This doctor and her staff are the absolute BEST! There is no other option for cosmetic surgeries, injections, laser treatments, skincare... etc! They've got it all, and they are all such wonderful people, you'll never go anywhere else!
Love her! She's so sweet and has great bedside manners. Her staff is great too. Emily was my patient coordinator and was awesome. I'm 6 wks. post op - Everything looks and is healing great. I highly recommend SGK.
Dr Kim is Incredible. She achieved what 2 other plastic surgeons failed to do. I am 68 years old and had 4 children. Seven years ago I had a tummy tuck by another surgeon with dissapointing results. 9 months ago I had a breast implant revision due to rupture and ended up with breasts that sagged and laid on my abdomen. That surgeon said he had done a good job.I was devastated. Dr Kim was able to redo both the tummy tuck and the breast revision , Now with a lift also. The results are awesome. I feel and look like a new woman.I cannot thank Dr Kim enough for giving me the body I had dreamed of.
I had a tummy tick with Lipo to my flanks and back. Great consultation visit. Surgery went well. The first week of recovery was no fun but the meds helped along with my recliner, pillows, and my husband. Dr. Kim did a beautiful job. My belly button and incision looks great. I’m obviously still swollen but huge improvement.
I have no major complaints about my tummy tuck surgery with Dr Kim so far. Dr Kim and the anesthesiologist Dr Collins were good. Dr Kim does a good job at managing expectations about surgery. The outpatient release is about 30 mins and that sucked but other than that and the burning when I pee from the catheter removal I don't have any real pain. Updated on 26 Apr 2019: These are my before pics. I have 3 kids and lots of fatb and loose skin. I waved to get the tummy tuck to smooth me back out to how I was before having children. I'm thinking of going and getting a breast lift later
I woke up at about age 11-12 with full C cup breast. Stretch marks, large breast and being so young made me feel insecure. Along with big breasts, 34DD, 36 DDD, 36 F (when breastfeeding), I often had cysts in my breasts. It was “normal” for me. When I was 36 I had two different cysts that stayed and continued to grow. By the age of 40 the cysts had doubled in size and even though the core biopsy showed benign, the recommendation was to remove the cysts and do a complete biopsy. Mind you I have several other breast cysts but they look benign, they are not large etc. I decided to do the complete biopsy as recommended. MD Anderson was my group and they were wonderful during every step. Even though it was benign a large amount of tissue was removed. When I had my follow up at MD Anderson I was referred to a plastic surgeon to correct for the “divots” and symmetry. After discussing with my family I made the choice to move forward with plastic surgery. I did not use the doctor from MD Anderson because I had an excellent referral for one close to home and as my issue was non cancerous I felt almost guilty using MD Anderson surgeon for the plastic surgery. I will still do my mammograms, ultrasounds etc at MD Anderson. But for my correction surgery I chose Dr. Kim.
I am almost 2 weeks PP from breast augmentation and i couldn’t be happier. I had originally selected a 470 ultra high profile implant but during surgery Dr Kim found that my small stature wouldn’t allow it and made the decision to use a 445 ultra high profile when i was informed i was concerned that it wouldn’t be what i wanted but dr Kim gave me the exact look i was going for with a much better fit to my body then the larger implant would of been. She took special note to the style and concerns i had. Her bedside manner was great and everyone during my preop and procedure day were amazing. I also had my first syringe of juvaderm lip fillers af SGK from Pamela and cannot day enough nice things about her she made me feel so comfortable and was the sweetest, i will 100% stay with SGK for any surgical or non surgical cosmetic needs in my future.
I want a full D! I don’t want my “deflated” look ???? I’ve always been fascinated with bigger boobs and I’ve never liked the way mine looked when bending over without a bra on. Intimacy has always been hard in any position except laying down bc of the look, but now that O took the beneath picture I kinda think hey look nice from that angle ????
I had the most amazing experience using double board Certified Dr. Sugene Kim and her wonderful staff, my surgery was in December 2017. I have no tolerance for pain and I was so worry about the pain, even though I read everything under the sun I was so scared, but Dr. Kim uses Exparel with all her tummy tucks and I was never in pain. I took the pain medicine for three days every eight hours and that was it. I had a tummy tuck, liposuction of the flanks and breast augmentation. Dr. Kim takes pride on her work and it shows. A true professional surgeon with only your needs, wants and outcome as her goals. She is very honest and explains to you what she can do and what would look good on you. She tells you what realistic expectations you can expect from the surgery, and she takes the time to get to know you and what your goals are. Explains in detail what she is going to do to create realistic goals and the end results are amazing. Look at her before and after pictures, amazing!! Dr. Kim is NOT going to tell you what you want to hear, but what realistically is possible so there is no disillusioned results in the end. She has her own certified operating facility right in the office and the best anesthesiologist, Dr. Collins. He makes you feel at ease and did not rushed when he was explaining things to me before my surgery. The minute you get the office Faith will greet you with a great smile and by your first name. How does she do that? But she does that to everyone that comes into the office, you will be greeted by your first name every single time. You will feel welcome every single time you are there. Kathy – My Patient Care Coordinator, from the minute that I had that first appointment she has made me feel welcome. She has answered every single question, concern, or when I was freaking out about the size of the breast implants, or the tummy tuck, etc. When I got sick with the Flu and Pneumonia before the surgery, she found me a new date within weeks of the original surgery. Also, when I wanted to try again the different sizes of implants, she always worked with me, always very kind and sweet. As well, she goes above and beyond for every patient. The day of my surgery I was so nervous that I forgot to tell my husband that I love him. I was already in the room waiting to walk to the operating room and Kathy went to get my husband so I can tell him I loved him, I wanted to cry, because I was so touch she did that. Kathy is that wonderful, she is truly a remarkable person. Pamela – Nurse, I have never met such a wonderful person and she makes you feel so at ease and she shares her personal experiences with you, which it makes you feel at peace. She has the most amazing soothing voice, and believe me you need that before getting on the operating table. I was a hot mess before my surgery and the few first appointments after my surgery and Pamela never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question and made me feel at ease every single time. Rachel – Nurse, she did my preop and as well has answered every email that I have sent her. She is prompt to answer every question in a very kind, professional and sweet manner. The rest of the ladies and nurses are very nice as well, you truly will feel welcome when you come to the office or by phone or email. I have never felt like just a number, you truly matter to these ladies and they make you feel as such. So if you are looking for a surgeon with a women’s perspective that can give you beautiful results, Dr. Sugene Kim is the surgeon for you. You will not regret it. She is truly the very best!!
I should have written this review back in March shortly after my surgery so I could have given everyone the option to read my story but I am just getting to it now… sorry for the delay. The doctor that I went to initially performed a breast augmentation of 650cc sub pectoral in both of my breast. During the period of recovery my right implant began to contract and the left one continued to drop. I ended up going in for a capsular contraction in my right breast 6 months after my first procedure. Right after my procedure I could tell that there was something seriously wrong with my right implant… there was nothing supporting it and it just seemed to hang. I was convinced that the Dr. had detached the implant from my body completely and the only thing holding it in my chest was my skin. Over the course of the next year I suffered with severe pain in my chest while doing daily things. It became nature for me to walk around with my arm propped up under my boob in fear that if I didn’t hold it there it would fall. I went back to the doctor with concern that my muscle was detached from my chest but he told me everything was fine that it was the left breast that we should be worried about because it seems to be contracting too. I was completely confused and felt like I needed to seek the advice of another doctor because I knew that my muscle was not holding my implant anymore and that my left breast was fine. I found two doctors near me that had great reviews and I decided to check both out because the one told me that I needed both implants removed and a breast lift done…. I couldn’t even believe it. There was no way that I need a breast lift done because I didn’t have anything hanging that much that I would need to have a lift. I FINALLY made my appointment to meet with Dr. Kim and she gave me so much hope that I was fine and simply needed some stiches put around the side and underneath my implant to hold it in place. It was such a relief to have a doctor listen to me and hear how I feel and what I am feeling and not make me feel like I am crazy. Dr. Kim didn’t run me in circles with all these different problems she just kept it simple and to the point of exactly what I needed and how it would be done. She gave me two options, I could either just get the stitched or I could choose a gala-flex to go with the stitches to ensure with my gym lifestyle that the implant would stay in place for a VERY long time. I may of not show it to them but I was beyond excited that I wouldn’t have to wear a sports bra and holding my breast in place so it wouldn’t hurt during sexual activity. I was also super excited about not having to prop a pillow under the side of me while I sleep so it wasn’t causing pain as it hung from my chest. I can’t even express my feelings for her and all the staff in her office. Dr. Kim will make you feel so excited about any procedure you go to her for because she is super sweet and invested into her job and helping people feel better about themselves. I did a lot of reading about her experience as a doctor… from being a double-board certified plastic surgeon (which you always want from a doctor) she also trained in breast reconstruction, which was a big plus for me. Sarah the practice administrator was BEYOND amazing, I told her about my available dates in the next week after that apt and then if that wouldn’t work I would have to wait a couple of months. Sarah literally had my apt scheduled the SAME WEEK… three days after my first apt. I have meet most of her nurses and they have all been so amazing, whether it was just to get blood drawn to prepping me for surgery or standing there by the bed when I woke up. Rachel, Pamela, and Lindsay were the few that I specifically remember because they had been with me during the prepping from my surgery and after and then for all my post-op appointments. I am sure all her staff has seen me but I was probably out cold if they did haha! I am now 5 months post-op and I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it feel to not have to wear a bra for support. The recovery was not bad at all and I feel wonderful in my body again. I absolutely love the was my breast are symmetrically compared to how they have been for the past two years. I had lost all sensation in my right breast after my surgery for the capsule contraction and I have regained most sensation thanks to Dr. Kim and her team. If I had a chance to go get my breast augmentation done again for the first time I would have chosen Dr. Kim because I know that she would have given me exactly what I wanted the first go around. I would just have to say don’t make the mistake I made, just choose her and all your body dreams will be fulfilled.
Hi, DeseraeBased on your photos, you are a great candidate for tummy tuck and liposuction of waists and flanks. Despite losing weight and exercising, most moms have excess, loose skin as well as bulging due to diastasic recti. Tummy tuck is a great procedure to address your concerned area. Liposuction of the waists and flanks will help with a better waist line. Please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon.Best wishes.
Hi, Vinny1234I perform tummy tuck under general anesthesia so that my patients are asleep and do not feel any pain. In addition, I want the rectus muscle to be relaxed so that the muscle repair can be done well. Tummy tuck can be done under conscious sedation safely. However, this will require a good, experienced anesthesiologist who routinely performs conscious sedation. Your questions about medications should be directed to the anesthesiologist. Please talk to your plastic surgeon about your concern but also talk with your anesthesiologist.Best wishes.
Hi, Cruz0846Tummy tuck can give a great abdominal contour when performed on a good candidate. It is also a very safe procedure when performed by an experienced plastic surgeon.Recovery time depends on each patient. Some patients have high pain threshold and may take pain medication for couple days; others may have low pain threshold and may require pain medication for couple weeks. Even if you have a high pain threshold and do not take much pain med, you will get fatigued easily for couple weeks. Prior to surgery, please ensure that you are optimized medically, physically, and socially. Your plastic surgeon can also utilize Exparel for post-op pain control. Please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to learn about the procedure, his/her surgical technique, and post-op recommendation.Best wishes.
Dear JulzburgessThanks for your question and photos. Based on photos, you have pseudoptosis of breasts and will likely not require breast lift. In regards to implant size, it will depend on your anatomy (chest width, chest height, existing breast tissue) and your desired goal. I assume that your plastic surgeon has examined and performed chest measurement and talked with you to understand your desire. Just make sure that your desire for "fuller boobs" will be achieved by his/her recommended size.Best wishes.
Hi, Bae1530Based on your photos, you do have significant rippling. The extent of rippling is due to the type of implant that you have and the lack of coverage (breast tissue amount). In general, silicone implant has less rippling than saline implant. Within silicone implant, there are three different types of cohesiveness. Given your concern and goal, Natrelle (Allergen) cohesive implant will give you the least amount of rippling while maintaining the best upper pole fullness. Please consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to be examined in person.Best wishes.
