I’ve wanted to fix my mummy tummy for the past 20 years, so my 40th birthday present to myself was a mommy makeover! It has been less than 3 weeks since my surgery and I am already beyond thrilled with my results!! I can’t wait to see the final results after all swelling has subsided and my implants drop and fluff! The tummy tuck recovery has been a breeze since no muscle repair was involved. I only took 3 of my pain medication pills. The boobs were the most painful part. He went in through the armpit. Updated on 2 Oct 2022: This is a picture of my incision. It’s slightly higher than I would have liked as I like to wear panties and swimsuits quite low. Hopefully it will fade nicely. I think it will since it’s very thin, but I guess I’ll be taking a trip to the tattoo parlor if not. Would rather not have to do that though!! Updated on 2 Oct 2022: Picture didn’t post for whatever reason. Now I have to come up with 200 more characters. Side note - I’m 1 month post op and my boobs are still high and tight and pretty uncomfortable. They have dropped slightly, but not much. They still look king of torpedo shaped. Updated on 5 Oct 2022: My incision is razor thin! I couldn’t be more pleased. I am going to start putting scar strips on it in a couple of weeks. I think it will fade quite nicely. Breast implants still haven’t dropped and are still quite tight. I got 400cc high profile, but I think maybe I should have gotten 275cc or 300cc. I prefer smaller boobs. Too late now. Updated on 7 Dec 2022: Implants have dropped and rounded out. They feel like part of my body now. My waist isn’t as small as I would have liked, but I’ve been back in the gym to see what I can do for that naturally before I make any decisions regarding having something else done. I’m very happy with my results overall. Updated on 7 Dec 2022: ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. Updated on 4 Jan 2023: They are okay, but I wish they were a little further apart and more round. They just don’t look as nice as I was hoping. Oh well……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Updated on 27 Jan 2023: ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..:…………….. Updated on 4 Sep 2023: So it’s been a year since my mommy makeover. While I am very happy that the loose skin and the majority of the stretch marks have been removed, I am not happy with the amount of fat that I still have or the width of my waist. I don’t have a very nice looking waist to hip ratio. I wanted my waist to be snatched and to have more of an hourglass shape and not a boxy ruler. My advice would be to ALWAYS get the liposuction, even if your surgeon didn’t recommend it. I would have gotten the lipo if I could go back in time. Now I will need to get liposuction to achieve the results that I want, and I am not looking forward to having to go through this stuff again. I will probably look at surgeons in Nashville this time.
My experience with Dr Core and his entire staff was outstanding. I was so nervous about having elective surgery and he and his team helped ease my fears. My breast augmentation turned out exactly how I wanted it. I had a fear that they would be larger than what I envisioned, but Dr Core is amazing at what he does and knew what would look best on my body. He also did my upper and lower lids, as well as a brow lift. I am only 5 weeks out from surgery, but I love the results! Everything looks very natural. So happy I had Dr Core do it. His attention to detail makes a huge difference in getting a great, natural look!
Dr. Core is amazing. When I went for a consult he answered the questions I had but then later I had more. I called his office expecting a nurse to call me back. Dr. Core called personally and spent well over 30 minutes explaining everything. I had a tummy tuck. Something I have wanted since I was 10 years old. I am now 50. I thought it would only impact my appearance and my confidence. The tummy tuck has helped my lower back pain tremendously! Dr. Core also had to work on my ab muscles. I can actually feel them now. I have much stronger ab muscles. I could never gain much strength in my core, I now am able. I cant thank him and his staff enough. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Core to everyone I know. I will use Dr. Core again without question.
I told Dr. Core that I wanted my breast aug to look natural, and just restore volume that was lost after babies/breastfeeding. I am very happy with my results! I highly recommend. And I love his nurse! Grandview hospital is also amazing!
Dr. Grady Core....what can I say? He is the consummate professional who strives for perfection. From the moment you enter his well appointed office, you are treated with nothing but kindness and respect. The staff is so kind and caring and you are treated like a friend as well as a patient. He as done multiple procedures on me, and each outcome has exceeded my expectations. However, the one that stands out for me the most, is my rhinoplasty revision. Having been through three...yes three, previous rhinoplasty surgeries/revisions with unsatisfactory results, I happened upon Dr. Core. He assessed my problem and we decided to proceed...two years later and I have never been happier. He gave me the confidence that I had been searching for my entire life. Thanks so much to he and his wonderful staff!
I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Core and his office staff. They are all very friendly, warm, and welcoming. Dr. Core took time to review all my options and helped me make an informed decision on the right procedure for me. Then he took the time to explain my procedure in great detail from pre-op to post-op through the recovery period and answered all my questions and concerns. I chose Ideal Implants and could not be happier with the outcome. It's been 2 months since my surgery and I absolutely love my results. When I went to be fitted for a new bra at a retail store, the sales lady knew immediately that Dr. Core was my surgeon. She said she could always tell his patients from other patients because he does such an exceptional job. I highly recommend Dr. Core!
I have had two procedures by Dr. Grady Core and have been very pleased with the outcome. He is extremely easy to communicate with ,takes time to explain the procedure in detail and answer all questions .He is an exceptional surgeon, his office staff are very caring .After any procedure he is available ,even after hours to address any questions.I highly recommend Dr Core.
Dr. Grady Core is the consummate professional. He is not the average plastic surgeon, going above and beyond to provide impeccable care. His office staff is warm and accommodating. Dr. Core is innovative in procedures that take years off a person all the while looking natural, rejuvenated and rested. He has the eye, the touch and the skill.
I couldn't be happier with the 2 laser treatments that Dr. Core has done on my face . At my consultation I asked him what he recommends to make my face look younger and he said 3 laser treatments, a lower face lift and a brow lift. He explained why and I accepted his professional opinion. He is a wonderful person and I can tell he really cares about his patients and the results. I trust him and his capabilities as a surgeon completely. It is a great feeling not to be scared. He has a great bedside manner and his assistant Beth is wonderful too. I will continue to go to him and I recommend him highly. One of my friends has already had 2 procedures with him and she is very pleased. My husband is also going to him in the future. I am very excited to see my end result. Everyone I know compliments me about my face and I am not even finished. That is all thanks to Dr. Core. I feel so much better about myself. I am 58, so naturally things have changed, but they don't have to stay that way. I am glad I finally took this leap and to top it all off found "The Perfect Surgeon". Thank you Dr. Core.
Had my upper abdomen done with 4 paddles, Sarah was great and I'm very happy with my results. Will do more parts. Had a friend who did CoolSculpting about same time and he has numbing and lumps and I have none of that. The procedure only took 25 minutes and the machine was calibrated to my pain tolerance.
I use this technique preferentially and have taught the technique to surgeons since 1994 and continue to teach it yearly the annual meeting of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. I was one of the first surgeons in the world to adopt it and it continues to be my preferred technique having used it successfully on over 3,000 patients. Unfortunately ,all the answers on this technique I have seen on this site are totally wrong. Unfortunately not many training programs teach endoscopic plastic surgery so most surgeons graduating do not have expertise. When ever a surgeon is uncomfortable with a procedure of course they do not recommend it. It does not have a higher capsule rate, it does not cause issues with shaving, it does not have a higher asymmetry rate, it does not have higher revision rates, or any other the other comments made about it. In fact ,in my practice the capsule rate with saline is far less than the national average for that implant and for silicone it is the same , so, if anything, it is better, at least with saline at 2% . Also, with the concerns about silicone implant illness becoming more prevalent on the internet we are seeing a resurgence in saline. The advantages of this approach are obvious - there is no evidence on the chest that anyone has been there. No Scars ! For me and my colleagues who do have expertise in this procedure it is actually easier because we can see everything much better with a scope than we could looking through a small hole with the naked eye. It takes about 30 minutes which the same length of time as the older methods and one can use either saline or silicone or Ideal implants. If you are interested in a procedure of any type , find a surgeon who is expert in it .
At one year out with no evidence of recurrence your chances of a recurrence are extremely low . While i prefer mesh underlay with the Stoppa technique, the overlay , once integrated into the muscle fascia ( 12 weeks) , will be just as strong. However, the subcutaneous position of the mesh overlay means you will be at slightly higher risk of an infection popping up down the road compared to an underlay. Nonetheless, no problems at one year means you have an overwhelming chance of never having another problem unless you gain your weight back. Looks like your surgeons did a great job.
This is an extremely large implant in what appears by your measurements to be already large breasts. I have been in practice for 25 years and implants of this size can carry long term issues such as symmastia ( from pulling away the insertions of the pec muscles due to the weight of the implants) and also pain. Theses issues have prevented me from ever using them in BA patients. I would proceed very carefully and be sure you seek the advice of several experienced board certified plastic surgeons. Your eventual bra size will be quite large. No way to predict.
Actually you are. Most who write about this are not. However, you appear to have good skin and not much of an issue so you are the type of person that most likely would benefit. However, I would be careful in assuming that all liposuction is the same. It is not. There are several basic types: Traditional suction assisted liposuction ( SAL), ultrasonic assisted liposelection (UAL), Laser lipo ( Smart Lips), and other variations on the above themes such as Safelipo, Power assisted lipo (PAL), etc. However, it is not so much the type of lipo that is practiced but the surgeon artist who practices it. I use UAL because I feel it leaves a smoother result and I have tried them all.SAL in my opinion is more likely to leave contour defects. Smart lipo takes too long and can burn through the skin and is practiced by non-surgeons frequently. PAL is a version of SAL as is Safelipo, so I feel UAL has given me the best results. More information about it is available on my website. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon with a lot of experience in body contouring and pay more attention to training, experience, and peer teaching invitations and honors, than to reviews which can be manufactured bought, faked, etc. Go see several and make up your own mind.
The surgery is carried out above the lymph nodes that drain your lower extremities so it is very unlikely the tummy tuck contributed to the situation since it leaves that drainage system intact. It is possible that there are are other issues that need to be evaluated such as lipidema, lymphedema, and so forth. I would see a board certified plastic surgeon and an internist and be evaluated, especially if the swelling includes your ankles and feet.
